GPU amp with Z68 + i7 2600?

I had a sudden brainwave.

Reflection on the Z68 chipset and an i7 2600, I was watching a card ASUS with LucidLogix Virtu (Universal Switchable Graphics)® feature. Then I got to thinking, it would be possible to have the 5 ESXi server itself take the 2600's internal graphics and my GTX 580 have run inside a virtual machine, amp (using the vt - d technology support)? If so, I could build a gaming platform devilishly VM!

I know that a server ESXi is not really designed for the game; but in my case, that would mean I could remove my main rig, simply create an ESXi server and still be able to play the occasional game.

It is possible - take a look at this thread to see what worked and what didn't - http://communities.vmware.com/message/1668788.

  • GPU computing with ATI Radeon

    Hello

Is it possible to use the analysis tools of LabView GPU with GPU Nvidia?

All the information I find, does not or is old enough (~ 5 years, I'm sure that Nvidia was the only option).

So basically, I'm wondering if, now, it is possible to use different or not cards.

    Thank you

Interfaces to software CUDA architecture GPU Toolkit. I don't think that there is even an unofficial release of drivers for ATI CUDA cards. ATI has focused exclusively on OpenCL as an interface to their cards, and in fact even Nvidia seems to support of our days to some extent.

  • HP Pavilion 500-250la: is this GPU compatible with my computer?

Hello, I was looking around on what I need to upgrade my computer, an HP Pavilion 500-250la.

I would buy this GPU, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202137

Is it compatible with my computer?

And I was also told that I would need a new power supply. What kind of power supply do I need?

    @VicBoss

I checked on the website of Sapphire for the specifications and I found these two pages, which have the same name and are the closest, I could find the name you provided. We have 2 cooling fans and the other has 3.

    R9 vapor-X 280 X 3 G D5 - http://www.sapphiretech.com (version 3 fans)

    R9 vapor-X 280 X 3 G D5 - http://www.sapphiretech.com (version 2 fan)

Both recommend a minimum of 750 W power supply and both require 2 x 8 pins to THE power connectors, so you'll need improve your diet in order to predict that the two cards are also double wide and it will probably block of the PCI Express x 1 (Gen 2.0) locations on the map. I suggest you check the space inside your system, particularly in the area of your current diet to see how you have the room. Power 750W power supply (or higher) will certainly be larger in physical size.

You have to watch a third party supply, as I am not aware of all that HP stock with this title.

    I hope this helps.

  • XPS 8300 GPU upgrade with parts question

    Hey all,.

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU without having to touch my food or any other room in my XPS 8300. I am running with processor i5 to 3.00 GHz, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB harddrive (from what I remember off the top of my head since I'm at work). I read in many places that GTX 750 it would be a fine upgrade without having a problem of PSU or of the motherboard, but before buying, I thought I would ask if everything would be fine without compatibility issues. The link here is the card I have planned to go with, but wanted to know if there is all the more powerful cards out there that I can possibly use. I always use my AMD HD 5450 stock card that's why I'm planning an upgrade. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Registration with WLC Cisco 2600 TOWER

    Hello

We bought new devices Cisco WLC 2500 and 2600 AP.

We used the Cisco APs in stand-alone mode and I was pretty familiar with these nodes of AP.  but I do not know how to set up and attach it to my WLC with AP LWAP mode im totally new. I installed the DHCP server in my network and my 2600 TOWER can take ip from dhcp server, but he does not have part of my WLC, I know not why, and I couldn't find a good intruction on internet.

Can any send my step by step guide on how to join Cisco AP a WLC please?     I have a lot of experience on the networking side but not on the wireless world please help

Another thing, my country Code is not included in the Cisco WLC, what should I do?   My country is of the Afghanistan, but its code is not exist in WLC version 7.0

The AP we are installing in Afghanistan.  but Afghanistan is not included on the list of regularity domains ,  that is why i chose US during the setup process.

And where the WLC is going to be installed?  If it's in the same country, then change the country to the same regulatory domain with your access point or AP will never join the controller.

  • Missing GPU acceleration with graphics NVIDIA Quadro 4000 card

    HI -.

I have a PC running Windows 7 with a NVIDIA Quadro 4000 card and 16 GB of RAM. I have Premiere Pro CS6 v6.0.5 and first Pro CC v7.2.2 (just installed).

When I create a new project in CC, my only option under video rendering and playback is Mercury Playback Engine software only. However, when I open a project in CS6, I get this option and also Mercury Playback Engine GPU accelerated (CUDA).

Any thoughts on why the GPU option would not put at my disposal in CC?

    Ed

Yes. 334,95 is the correct driver. Pilots who are CUDA 5.0 are no longer supported in Premiere Pro.

  • A 4 GB GPU card offers advantages over a 2 GB with first version?

Is there an advantage to using a GPU card with more than the typical 2 GB memory on board during the first use and after effects CC?

Yes, if the resolution is more than 2 K then fine DISPLACEMENT 3 + GB of ram on the card. Some Applications with GPU acceleration suggest 4 GB of ram or more for the GPU with 4K. The effects of acceleration will be a greater use of the ram with higher resolution frames, this is also a reason.

  • New HPE Phoenix rig H9 - 1120-t. Very satisfied with the service the customer of HP.

I just wanted to post an update to my recent adventure with HP.  I recently bought a truck of Phoenix from HP, with processor i7 2600.  I really loved at first, but began to have some problems and called e-way HP customer service a few times on their subject. Nothing huge, but since I'm still in a period of new of my purchase, HP has allowed me to return my rig and initiate a new order.  And there are still better here.

Because I was also a little upset than just after buying my rig (within two weeks of my purchase in fact), they changed in the new Ivy Bridge CPU and is no longer even had my i7 2600 in option.  So finally they allowed me to Exchange my rig and re-order the same (with a recent 3770 i7).  I think it was very accommodating on their part.  I also decided to go ahead and add an SSD 160 GB current (but I had to pay for it, of course).  But otherwise I had the exact same platform, just with a diff CPU and an added ssd.

After getting my new rig in less than a week and then installing my Radeon HD 6950 2 GB graphic card-all I can say is WOW.  This baby is fast.  Even faster!   Most of the comments list i7 3770 as only on a gain of 10% on the i7 2600, but I can tell you that it depends on what you are doing first-hand.  I know that I see some of this improvement in speed due to the SSD, but with just global tasks, the computer feels a lot more zippier than before even the programs that I have on my HARD drive are faster.  My WEI went from a 7.6 to a 7.7 on the CPU (my GPU score was already maxed out at 7.9), and better yet - there is another bonus.

The new Phoenix Ivy Bridge boat platforms with a card mother Z75 Pegatron, which by default RAM speed is 1600 MHz.  Although it came with 10GB of RAM at 1333 MHz.  I bought two sticks of 4 GB Crucial Ballistix 1600 MHz RAM and when I plugged it in, the system immediately recognized them as 1600 MHz and I didn't have to do a thing.  They are run in XMP mode.  Another nice little bump of speed (bit, Yes, but still visible).  This introduces by score of WEI RAM of 7.6 to 7.8.

The lowest WEI score is now my SSD with a 7.6.

I am really satisfied with the HP at this stage, and I must say, they went out of their way to make sure that I was happy and they followed with several emails of commentary and surveys - just to make sure that I am now convinced.  I give congratulations this time HP - and their service exceptional customer.  Guys good job.  And thank you for an outstanding game platform.  It really is a great system, and you'd be hard pressed to get another anywhere for this price with these components and this level of CS.  I do the iBuypower bet would not have been so helpful with me.

One more comment and I'll get off my soapbox.  IB heat problem.  For those of you who read these things, I'm sure you've read about the Ivy Bridge processors take a lot of bad press on not too hot, especially when to be overclocked.

Of course, I'm not overclocking an i7 k no 3770, but I can tell you that this platform has set up my 2600 i7 rig had exact same liquid cooling, and temperatures are about, if not on the same place.  Now, CoreTemp shows 27/28-28 / 28 c at idle.  He hit the middle of the 1940s at full load.  It is on the line with what showed my Sandy Bridge CPU.  I think you have heat problems trying models OC k unlocked.  The regular processors are fine and are actaully more thrifty in energy that the SB was, since they use technology more recent 22nm and have a physically smaller.

In any case, thanks to new HP and I am now a loyal customer.  I still have my old (I say old, its about 2 years) Dell XPS rig in my home of cousins with a Phenom II x 6 1090 t., I check everyday to keep smooth updated and running (because he is a child of college) and this new platform HP Phoenix I did look like a toy computer.  No comparison.

Hapkiman, thank you very much for the great review of your new computer from HP. It is obvious that the new direction is really in tune with the client. This will ensure a phenomenal future for society.

  • HP Pavilion H8-1120: Radeon HD 6970 will work with my motherboard?

    Hello

I currently have a HP Pavilion desktop computer. The product is H8-1120, with model #QP771AA

My motherboard is Carmel2 (IPISB-CU), with an i7-2600, 350W electric chip and the video card Radeon HD 7570.

I wanted to play some of the newer games on the decent quality (usually, I would need to run on parameters below and even reduce the resolution, just to get 20 + FPS), and so I recently bought a new GTX 750TI graphics card to improve my computer with. But I had the same problem that everyone else did, where their HP Board would not accept the new card and nothing has helped my problem.

Now I'm back TI GTX750 and I am looking for a good upgrade from my current GPU, at a reasonable cost, and I absolutely want to know, 100% that I won't not motherboard compatibility issues with the new gpu.

I was looking at the graphics card Radeon HD 6970 and Radeon HD 6850 cards. Both are a little better than my other current graphics card, and I will also update the food too 550-600W.

No one knows for sure if I'll be able to run the HD 6970 graphics card on my motherboard, with a 600W POWER supply upgrade? I checked online and the Radeon Series 6000 was released to the year 2010, a year before my current BIOS (FRIEND 7.16 / 10/05/2011) was released. My BIOS will be able to work with this graphics card?

    Bozhidarc, welcome to the forum.

The reason why GTX 750 it won't work in your computer is to UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  I know the last video card that requires no UEFI EVGA's GTX 660.  Anything after this model requires UEFI.  The best thing to do is to find the card you like and contact the Technical Support of the manufacturer to ensure that it will work on your computer.

MSI is a GTX 750 Ti with a BIOS card hybrid switch that allows to work with a standard legacy BIOS or UEFI.  Yet once, however, I recommend to contact MSI to ensure it will work with your computer.  I heard some members who have managed to make it work with the BIOS of their inheritance.

  • Use of Photoshop CS6 constant 25% CPU with Nvidia (nvoglv64.dll) card

    Hello

I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 (Cloud) and have the latest version installed. I have a high cpu problem when I want to zoom in the image, then sometimes the CS6 process cpu load is constant on 25%. I tried the graphic avancΘs in CS6 of light, normal, extended. With the setting of the light it doesn't happen so often, but sometimes he's there.

My version of the driver is 310.90, but happen also with earlier versions, or with beta 313.96.

My graphics card is a GeForce Gigabyte GTX 470 Super Overclock with two different monitors connected.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I want to buy a new Nvidia card in the near future, but it would be so good if the problem persists.

Here you can see a screenshot of process Explorer.

    http://bonnix.de/uploads/ps_highcpu.jpg

I can work more or less with CS6, that is not the problem, but the load constant cpu that bothers me.

Maybe someone has any ideas to fix this?

    Thank you!

    Good bye

Many Christmas thanks for your advice!

In basic mode, the problem also sometimes.

I tried almost everything to fix it. Reinstalling the driver; new installation of Windows 7 and CS6 to another disk; Another Geforce Graphics card - nothing helped.

In the last days, I had the chance to get a new motherboard (Z68) with processor i7 2600 k. Before I had a P67 Board and an i5 processor 2600 k.

I do not, but now it works like a charm. I can now use the maximum graphics settings in Photoshop CS6. :-D

Maybe there is a problem with some drivers of the Council or the Council itself.

    Good bye
