Grant execute for sequence

Is it possible to give Grant statement for the sequence execution?

Hello

You want to SELECT , not EXECUTE privileges:

GRANT  SELECT  ON seq_x TO user_y;

EXECUTION privileges apply only to the types and stored procedures. (I know, it's not intuitive).

    Hello

    I would like to automate my test using TS environment and the BT.

    My goal is to have one machine with the development of TS (Inc. LV) for construction of test software that is compiled in one .exe file to run on the tested machine that does not have TS or LV

    Can I use the software for this task?

    It is for the main development computer:

    It is for the machines to run the tests on:

    777774-3505 NI TestStand Base Deployment Engine License 5 unit Bundle

    I would like to have an option to monitor the performance of the tests on each machine and if necessary to perform debugging on the tested machine operations.

    If the package above will provide this capability so where can I find the documentation to create .exe files to run on test computers?

    If not, what software will provide this capability?

    Thank you

    His Lev

    Lev,

    These are the correct packages for TS development and deployment.  The only thing is that you have little debugging with the deployment license features.  If you want to debug, so instead of the deployment license they have licensed TestStand Debug.

    More about licenses: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/B4B7C4ADB9B21B3F86256D360061891F

    One thing you should realize is that TestStand creates no executables.  Because TS is essentially a scripting language, you deploy the raw files.  These raw files feeding the TestStand engine and execute the steps in order.

    TestStand comes with 10 different (fully customizable) User Interfaces.  What are executables and run above the TestStand engine.  They allow you to run your sequence files (mostly scripts).  You will only need to use 1 of them.  The User Interface is so technically the executable for a deployment machine.

    For example, a section of code changes. He now has more parameters sent to a function in a dll.

    Until now, the only way to find to run the code, wait what he to the error, then trace where the offending parameter is.

  • You can grant execute on the package to the role?

    Is it possible to run on a package for a role? The following excerpt (run as SYS AS SYSDBA) illustrates my problem.
    SET SERVEROUTPUT ON SIZE 1000000;

    CREATE USER foo_user IDENTIFIED BY foo;
    GRANT CONNECT, UNLIMITED TABLESPACE TO foo_user;

    CREATE USER bar_user IDENTIFIED BY bar;
    GRANT CONNECT, UNLIMITED TABLESPACE TO bar_user;

    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE foo_user.foo_package AS
        PROCEDURE foo_procedure;
    END;
    /

    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY foo_user.foo_package AS
        PROCEDURE foo_procedure AS
        BEGIN
            DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Ran foo_user.foo_package.foo_procedure');
        END foo_procedure;
    END;
    /

    CREATE ROLE bar_role;
    GRANT bar_role TO bar_user;
    GRANT EXECUTE ON foo_user.foo_package TO bar_role;

    CREATE TABLE bar_user.bar_table(bar_column NUMBER);

    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER bar_user.bar_table_bit
    BEFORE INSERT ON bar_user.bar_table
    FOR EACH ROW
    BEGIN
        foo_user.foo_package.foo_procedure;
    END;
    /

    INSERT INTO bar_user.bar_table (bar_column) VALUES (1);
    Grant execute on foo_user.foo_package to bar_role works, however, the creation of the trigger based on the grant does not work. If, however, I replace the grant to bar_role with a grant to bar_user the creation of the trigger works very well. Therefore replacement
    CREATE ROLE bar_role;
    GRANT bar_role TO bar_user;
    GRANT EXECUTE ON foo_user.foo_package TO bar_role;
    with
    GRANT EXECUTE ON foo_user.foo_package TO bar_user;
    works very well.

    Am I doing something wrong or is not possible to grant enforcement on a package for a role?

    Hello

    Roles do not count inside stored procedures. So that bar_user to foo_user.foo_package of references within a stored procedure, EXECUTE privileges on foo_user.foo_package must be granted directly to the bar_user (or PUBLIC), and not only a role that bar_user has.

  • Create an executable for a previous version of LabVIEW % 3F

    Title says it all.

    I have LabVIEW 2011 and my code is written using LabVIEW 2011. I know how to build an executable from my code in version 2011.

    I know how to save my code in version 2010. But I don't know how to create an executable for the 2010 version. I saw no option in

    the build process that I would create a 2010 executable. Once built, the executable must run on a computer with the runtime only 2010.

    Is this possible or do I have LabVIEW 2010 installed to create a 2010 executable?

    Just install the runtime of LV 2011 on the other PC.  A PC can have multiple versions of the Runtime installed.

  • Executable for freecell has stopped working... and other games too.

    Executable for freecell has stopped working... and other games too.  I tried to uninstall and re-install of the windows features option, but it did not help.  Anyone got any ideas how to fix?  Have no idea what caused the problem that I play them often.  Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.

    Thank you all.

    Your profile problem would be assigned to a corrupted profile - if you look in the file C:\Users\, you should always have on your documents.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

    Between that and the problem with the games, it would be a good idea to perform a scan of the hard disk, just in case where it fails.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors

    Note that even though the disk check said it corrects a problem, I recommend to backup your data.

    You can also try a system restore to before the problem began:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-system-restore

    It can solve the problem of profile as well, assuming that the hard drive is fine but if not follow the steps above.

  • New computer, transfer of hard drives... How can I access the files executable for MS Word or, more importantly, Visual Studio 2012?

    I had an old computer get taken out by a storm. I managed to save to computer hard drives and installed them in a new computer. I can see my programs MS Word, PowerPoint, etc. and Visual Studio 2012. The problem I have is to find the executables for these programs so that I can actually use them. Is there a work around or do I still have to pay for them? VS is a pro version and more than 2K last I checked! Am I missing just the files in a folder, that I don't see? I seem to be able to find the files exc for other programs. (Rosetta Stone)

    Really, I don't want to buy these programs and will probably go to another (more accessible) suite of software, if necessary. I can write the code in other IDEs and use another desktop software which ensures the compatibility of the MS products if that's the case.
    Thank you for your time and understanding,
    HH

    You cannot run programs from the old hard disk, they must be reinstalled on the new installation of Windows computers.

    Apart from the home folder for Office who would be in the Program Files folder, directory on the original drive Setup performs a number of other things. It will make hundreds of changes to the registry, install many libraries and sign them and put some files in the Windows directory itself.

    Also, if the version of Office that was on the old computer came with the PC, it's more likely to be an OEM license. As such, it cannot be installed or run on the new computer as a limitation of the original end user license agreement.

  • Grant execute on a package in another schema of users

    I need the ability to grant enforcement on a package in another schema of users...

    i.e. User_1 a Package pkg_package1

    User_2 should be able to grant execute on user_1.pkg_package1 to other users.

    I know you can give any procedure (I think) to user_2 and - it must be able to do.

    The problem is - I don't want user_2 can grant execute on any procedure in the database - just a diagram of user_1.

    Is there a way to do this?

    Hello

    FOT individual packages, you can tell

    GRANT   EXECUTE  ON pkg_package1
    TO      user2
    WITH GRANT OPTION;

    Alternatively, you can write a procedure in the schema of user_1 which grants privileges and give privileges to EXECUTE user_2 on the procedure.

  • May not grant execute on UTL_FILE even user with the DBA role

    Hi all

    I have a problem - I can not grant execute on UTL_FILE to < some_user >, even if I am logged in as a user with the DBA role.
    grant execute on UTL_FILE to seesat_stg;
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Is the synonym PUBLIC:

    SYS          UTL_FILE     PACKAGE
    SYS          UTL_FILE     PACKAGE BODY
    PUBLIC          UTL_FILE     SYNONYM
    FLOWS_030100     UTL_FILE     SYNONYM
    Any ideas what I am doing wrong? It's about Oracle XE.

    It works if you open a session as SYS?

    I suspect that your user with the DBA role not really has the right to grant permissions execute on UTL_FILE.

  • Executes the sequence by programming

    Hello

    I see a problem by running the file in sequence by programming. I mentioned the example VI (C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 2014 (32 bit) \Examples\TestStand API\Executing API\LabVIEW using sequences) comes with TS2014 which crosses the sequence context of sequence by invoking TSEngine so the entries to the VI are sequence context, movie file, the process template.

    To facilitate my task, I modified the code attached to make autonomous running the sequence through TSEngine directly to entries in VI are movie file and the model of process.

    It works fine when I run like VI, but does not work during the conversion into exe.

    Please let me know if I'm something wrong or missed something

    Thanks in advance

    -Vivek

    You should look into the creation of a user interface you want to execute your order by programming. The user interface can be hidden if it works the same as your code is planned. Start with the simple graphic interface "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National 2014\UserInterfaces\Simple\LabVIEW" so see how this can be done.

    More precisely. a person does not open a reference to the engine. What is much more common is a person placing the Application Manager control, call the Start method. and then get the reference to the engine here. Be sure to stop the application subsequently and additional references nearby. I guess because you're in a development environment is the reason that your code works like a VI.

    Hey Peter,

    You can open external .exe files in a LabVIEW program using the System Exec VI. You can find an example of this kind of operation in the Finder for example of NOR (help > find examples...) under communicate with external Applications.

    All you need to provide to the terminals of the system Exec VI entry is the name of the .exe that you want to open, and a reference to his repertoire of records;

    LabVIEW will do the rest of the book. For additional parameters with respect to the arguments of the command line you may need, after the entry of the file name in the attribute of the VI string, you must type a hyphen (-) followed by the name of your parameter; for example, ' notepad.exe - myFirstParameter.

    Let me know if you need help a full tutorial of this operation are located at this URL.

    Good luck!
