Graph and Sounddrivers for Satellite M50 180 and Windows 7

I installed Windows 7 on my M50-180, but I can't find a driver for the sound and graphics.
Something does not exist, or are there drivers to media, which works on Windows 7

Best regards from the Germany

papa99

This old model of laptop is not designed and not supported for Win7, so it won't be easy to find the right drivers for this good old classic.
Only alternative drivers are hardware manufacturer, but I don't think old material will be supported for the new operating system.

How old is your M50? It must be about 4 years old.

    Hello

I think I may have made a big mistake.

An elderly parent gave me his Toshiba Satellite to "clean". I just ahead and reinstalled XP Home on thinking that I could simply reinstall all drivers by downloading the Toshiba web site. (as I have done for other portable parents)

XP Home installed using an existing drive and use the MS code on the label under the lap top.

However, I am now very nervous because I can't find the drivers on the Toshiba web site for this product and I have a load of unknown/other devices in Audio/video/ethernet/mass storage device manager.

I took a guess at the wireless driver and have wifi work so I'm online and you have activated Windows.

Can someone point me in the right direction for all drivers please.

  • How to get the disc of recovery for Satellite M50 161

I bought a new Toshiba Satellite M50 161 4 years ago and its been great until recently when he developed serious problems.
I need a recovery disc or the disc of the original for XP software but none of this was supplied with it.

How can I get these disks now?

    > I need a recovery disc or the disc of the original for XP software but none of this has been provided with it.
I'm in doubt about it. According to the specifications of the laptop Satellite M50 161 comes with brackets to follow:
    -Recovery media (CD or DVD)
    -Express Media Player
    -Additional software CD
    -Microsoft Works Suite

All the old models of laptops come with recovery CD. I have some old Satellite m70 and still have original valuation facilities Toshiba DVD.

Anyway, you can try to contact nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer and ask for help. To be honest I don't think you will get for this older model laptop. For the installation of the OS, you can also use Microsoft installations CD. Hey all,.

I have a laptop of Satellite M50 running Ubuntu 8.04 and this morning I got a message saying that my battery could be the subject of a recall. I went on the site, he noted, and he said that my cell phone was on the list, but my battery was not.

He also said that the page that I had been referred to as related to laptops sold in the States. This laptop was sold in Australia.

  • FN-active button continuously for Satellite C670D-125 after Windows Update 10

    Hello everyone,

After the update of my Satellite C670D-125 to 10 windows function (fn) key is active at all times. This means I have to press the fn key when I want to use the standard function key (for example, the numbers above the letters). Only numbers wouldn't be a big problem, but also for the space key and the esc key, I have to press fn in order to use the standard function (space and escape to ).

This behavior occurs in bios setup also now! So it seems to me that the update enabled an integrated keyboard.

In other discussions and forums of the facility (re-) "VAT package" is recommended, but there is no option for my notebook on the fn feature and the of - and reinstalling had no effect. Another option was to change the setting in the bios Setup, but there is no menu entry in my bios, which deals with this issue... It seems that I have a simplified bios (I guess because there is not a lot of options for the implementation of the material) and I even installed the last update of the bios on the side support toshiba.

Everyone has the same problem or an idea how can I solve the problem?

    Thank you very much
    Taomir

The relocation of the PPV would be useful, but only in case your would still use Windows 7

Given that Windows 8 the VAP has been replaced by the driver for the Toshiba system, but the fact is that your C660 is not listed as 10 Windows supported model and that is why there is Win 10 drivers are not available for this unit.

Anyway, you can try to install the system Win 10 driver released for other series laptop... I don't know if it will work, but I guess it's the last resort for repair running Win 10...

    Hello

It's an odd question since this machine with this operating system is REALLY REALLY REALLY old. If you do not want to use a printer of opportunity then I suggest to H.P. older deskjet series (e.g. 870 C or 870Cxi] I had a few years ago, the 800 series with a parallel port on a Tecra 8100 with then first and went from Windows 98 to Windows 2000. It works perfectly under the two systems.

Hope that helps a little... :)

    Hello

Generally, you should only use the graphics drivers from Toshiba as other graphics drivers can damage the device. Toshiba drivers are designed for the use of the laptop and include an overheating protection. The graphics driver from Toshiba is a slim original graphics drivers version. Of course, you can use no driver Toshiba but at your own RISK!

Well, if you can't find all the graphics drivers for this unit in order to check other drivers for laptops which have the same graphics card. You may use this driver on your laptop. But unfortunately, there is no other possibility.

  • Satellite M50 - wireless card disappeared

    Hey.

Prolly newb question, but I just can't understand this. I can't find my WIRELESS card, my XP does not recognize it. I think I need some kind of driver for it, but I already tried to install several, including the one on this page. Problem is probably, I don't know what model of wireless card has my satellite.

I tried google, but the jungle brought me here :)
    Thank you.

    Hello!

What Satellite M50 laptop are you excactly?
From Toshiba Web site shows only an Intel driver for Satellite M50 (PSM50E and PSM51E) and to Satellite M50 (PSM53E) a driver Atheros.
Then choose your model and download the driver.

An update of the BIOS might also solve the problem, but in your case I would try first upgrading the driver.

  • Satellite M50-PSM53A has the constant fan noise

    Hi all

A year ago I upgraded my Satellite M50 (PSM53A) from Windows XP to Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. I also downloaded the BIOS update for Vista from my region (Australia) Web site so that the BIOS version is now 5.00. However, Toshiba has not last updated BIOS for this model since February 2007 and as a result that my fan is constantly making noise whenever I use the computer (and turn off at all).

The fan sometimes slows down depending on the load of computer work, but is not completely silent and on and blowing out it was Windows XP. In addition, the underside of my computer is not hot as it was on Windows XP, instead the breath fan and no heat is felt on the underside of the laptop. I also changed the settings in the Toshiba Power Saver under power options in Windows Vista, and this does not seem to make a difference in noise levels.

I was wondering if someone could help me with this problem and if anyone knows a BIOS update or if Toshiba will provide a? Because, in all the teething problems, that I had in the upgrade to Vista, it is the only question that I left to correct.

    Kind regards
    -Adrian.

    Hello Adrian

Either a little more realistic and objective s. You have a designed for Windows XP Home edition laptop and now you use the new operating system. I recommend getting some info on Vista and the first interesting info is that Vista uses more resources than the old Windows XP Home edition. More resources mean more pressure on the CPU and other hardware components. The result of higher performance is more heat.

To protect the equipment sensors send information on fan/fans to run and cool the material. So, for me, it's the logical result after installation of Vista. I don't understand why you need this BIOS update should fix this.

BIOS update is designed to install Vista and use of different Toshiba has also designed tools and utilities. I assume that the physical protection is high priority and why to change the values of the fans for Toshiba and may damage the material.

Anyway, if you have installed all try them Toshiba tools use different power plan. For example, use the balanced power plan and define the method to the minimum level of cooling.

On my laptop preinstalled Vista he reduced the activity of fan cooling but the performance is still good and I can work without any problems.

    Good bye

  • Satellite A110-180 - update of the Bios for Windows 7 and Linux

    Hello

I want to change the following settings in my bios on my laptop satellite A110-180
    * AHCI for SATA
    Disable the IDE

    But none of these options.
So I thought that maybe I should update my bios.
I found the download page, but there are 2 options: Windows Vista or NO vista, but I want to dual boot windows 7 and linux.

Which one should I download, or is there another option to change the settings?

    Thank you!
    Bart

    Hello

Satellite A110 does not support these options (SATA AHCI).
The update of the BIOS will not help you!

Linux is not supported and therefore, you will not find any special BIOS for Linux OS!

The two BIOS updates are for Win Vista or OS independent.
Therefore, if you use other than Vista OS then you should throw the update of the independent BIOS to the BONE!

But as mentioned above; both options will not appear after the BIOS update!

  • Satellite M50-A110 - how and where activate AV sucerity 2013

    Nice day

Well, I have a weird problem. We bought Toshiba Satellite M50, I chose this model because the local computer store has a couple of good software.

I have a particular problem, laptop is purchased on 01.07.2014. and during the month last laptop was in use (from the stuff of sensor overheating). Guys solved the problem after almost 2 weeks. Too bad.

Particular myresponsibility is the registration of Mcafee Antivirus more 2013.*
I have a license key, Toshiba gave me a year license with this laptop.

On this laptop, I have the LiveSafe-Internet Security trial. (remaning in the trial of eight days, it was preinstalled) I want to downgrade this product and use of Mcafee Antivirus plus 2013 because I have one year license of Toshiba.
    Windows OS 8.1.

Please help me with advice, resources or link. In our service I was told to use this license key on Mcaffe Antivirus plus 2014, but it does not work.

    Thank you!

This offer is not available in my country so I can't say with certainty how it works, but in General, recovery image contains trial version of an antivirus application preinstalled.
If you don't want to use it just out of the system.

What you can do is contact McAffe support and ask for help. You can also try is to download Mcafee Antivirus plus 2013 and check all the settings. I think there must be option for activation of the product.

Have you already checked this option?

  • Audio driver and modem for Satellite A30 151

I've updated my Toshiba with Windows XP PRO/SP2 laptop.
After installing I found that Windows XP/sp2 is not installed the modem and audio devices.

I tried to download the drivers from the site and tried to install. I got the error message saying driver software is incompatible with the version of the operating system service pack.

I watched on the web and found that there is no driver for Windows XP/sp2 version.

I tried both ways of performing the installation of the driver software and trying to install using the inf file.

At the same time in vain. It is hard to believe that there is no resolution to this problem. I deal I forgot this site to have the right to files already lying in the site for Windows XP/SP2. Could someone send me the url of the software driver for the modem and Audio controllers for my system (Satellite A30 151) under Windows XP/SP2.

Thanks in advance for all the help and your time

    HI Lorraine,.

The site of Toshiba UK lists the following modem drivers: -.

    2122ALL05

    31116ALL5 (for internal V90 modem)

They have the same date, September 19, 2003 and are specific to windows XP that should of course include XP Pro.

  • Official release of the drivers XP and Vista for Satellite Pro P100 - 465 PSPAEE

When will it be available for XP and Vista for the PSPAEE drivers? Currently there are drivers for the PSPA4E, some of whom work, others do not, no operating system. Yes the laptop is preinstalled with the Vista Upgrade and pilots work, but two of the pilot applications are blocked by Defender (NDSTRay / ConfigFree and VolControl). I couldn't get no option to allow to these (not yet classified MS so they are locked) told me to disable Defender technical support!
I tried a clean install of my own version of Vista business and had problems of drivers with that as well.

I would like to run XP until Vista is, shall we say, more effective I would use drivers specifically for her, so time would be very useful.

I would also like to know why there is a where a finger scanner could go under the 0 on the keypad, and a blocked stop lower PCMCIA port (PCI-E?) when any of these are available as an upgrade option? I missed these upgrade options or is it a case of recycled from another model, they exist? If the latter then it is quite cheap for a new machine :)

    Hello

We have all the users here can suggest only it seems that Vista and XP drivers are already available for Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E
So in my opinion the next drivers for the next series should follow in the near future

I don t see it differently as to wait

Of course, you can test different drivers from different series as Sat P100.
Many laptop models use the same devices and therefore different unique pilots could be compatible
