Graphic HPE430me upgrade and cooling issues

Hello

I have a HP Pavilion Elite 430me and you want to update the Geforce 440 card installed to a Radeon 6870.

I have 4 questions

1 it support of card mother MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) PCIe 2.0 such as it does in the specifications page. It just says: PCIe 16 X? Keep in mind that this is a Board based H57.

2 the case leave a space for the graphics card of 10 "?

3 - 460W POWER supply is enough?

4. I live in Egypt and temperatures here is warm enough during much of the year, and the case only comes with a single 80 mm fan; possible overheating here whereas a Core i7 870 is also present? Is it possible to install another fan on this case?

Thank you

2 the case leave a space for the graphics card of 10 "?  I don't think this card will fit.  I normally recommend staying less than 9 ".

3 - 460W POWER supply is enough?  The Radeon HD 6870 requires a minimum of 500W.

Is it possible to install another fan on this case?  AMD/ATI cards come with their Catalyst Control Center.  This software suite allows you to control the speed of the fan on the card.

Thank you

    GeForce GT 630M 2 GB DDR3

    1 x adapter 1 wifi Broadcom 4313BGN

    1. I want to improve the GPU of the 800 series
    2. I want to improve 802.11ac wireless card

From the manual, the only 2 x 2 (N 300mbps) card is Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 WLAN module. Does this mean that I can't install an ac card?

As I understand it, to upgrade the GPU, I need a new motherboard as well.

If anyone can recommend all new compatible products and how can I do to upgrade?

    I'm a little lost.

Well you are right about that. According to me, there is a version of the motherboard with graphics of 650 M, but these are not much better than the 630 M you have and the motherboard would cost nearly $300.

  • vSphere 4.1 5 upgrade and licensing issues

I currently have two server PowerEdge 2900. They each have two processors to 4 cores of each and 24 GB of RAM. Each server has a license in advance of vSphere 4 for 2 physical processors (1-12 cores). I also have vCenter 4 Foundation installed and licensed.

I am looking to buy a new PowerEdge 620 with 2 processors, 8 cores each, and 128 GB of RAM.

I want to do the following.

    1) upgrade the vCenter 4 to 5 license. Upgrade 2 CPUs with a value of 4 advance to 5 Enterprise vSphere vSphere licenses.

    2) update my installation of vCenter vCenter 4 5.

    (3) install ESXi 5 on new server PowerEdge 620.

    (4) migrate all virtual machines (guests) to a PowerEdge 2900 server to the new server 620.

    (5) Server Decomission the 2900 now blank.

    (6) keep the other server 2900 HA around and the low priority. VMs (I'm undecided as to whether I should upgrade to ESXi 5 on this one).

Changes to licenses of 4 to 5 seems like a maze, but according to my calculations, 2 processors of licence 4 set to upgrade to 5, should give me enough for 2 CPUs and 128 GB of vRAM on the 620. It's my first time going through an upgrade like this, so I was hoping that someone with more experience could weigh in on this plan. I'm completely missing something, and he will be missed horribly? Any extra info / advice is appreciated.

    Thank you

... it is said that the old license get deactivated after the new ones are issued...

Don't worry about this. Only old license on the portal keys will be disabled when you upgrade the key to v5. There is no license on your systems check, which will disable the host or vCenter Server.

    André

PS: Although there is no verification of the license, it is your responsibility to ensure that the old and the new licenses are not used simultaneously. It would be a violation of the EULA.

  • The HD upgrade and memory issues - Satellite P200D - 10 p

Don't cancel the warranty if I upgrade the hard disk and the memory of my laptop?

Also is there anyway to merge two partitions on my hard drive into one without having to reformat the whole disc? For some reason, the hard disk was split into two. The installation of Vista on a 73 GB and I have 74 GB free on another partition.

I want to upgrade the memory from 2 GB to 4 GB. What are the compatible memory modules (I model P200D - 10 p)?

    Hello

By reformatting the hard drive you really upgrade the HD and increasing memory is a fairly simple process, so you should not invalidate your warranty.

However if you open any part of the laptop including the crypt of memory you should make sure what you are doing and can get compatible memory, preferably set in correspondence cards.

The software you need to merge partitions on your hard drive while running Vista is "Paragon Partition Manager. Symantec Partition Magic does not work with Vista. You don't need to reformat your hard drive, but you'd be advised to backup your critical data before the merger. A word of warning before you do anything, if the second partion maintains records of resettlement for Vista if you encounter a failure, then after you merged the two partitions, the files will remain but the relocation will not work. This is because when you insert the disc to reinstall it will search that partition. A round way, that it is to make an image of your drive before you do anything, then you can always copy of backup image and reinstall your Vista back to the factory setting.

If you have noticed that I posted above ask you about a memory problem because I also want 2 GB to 4 GB, but it won't have it.

    Hope this helps

  • Dell XPS8500 upgrades and OS issues

I recently installed a MSI GTX 960 4 GB and a medal of Bronze of EVGA SUPERNOVA 750W power supply and I decided I want to go further with my updates for my dell xps8500, I intend to buy a new case, the CPU, the ram and the motherboard, but keep the drive hard default dell.

My PC came with Windows 8.1, but last year I got the free update where you could get Windows 10 and I am running, I hear that the BONE is connected to the motherboard, so when I install all my new pieces in my case, but still using the old hard drive, I need to rebuy the OS which I don't want to really do because it costs a lot of money. Any help would be grateful

Looks like you're doing a completely new PC from scratch. Windows 8.1 25 OEM key locked preinstallation system is linked to the UEFI BIOS for the motherboard. During the procedure to make your system a Windows 10 device that you have a BONE of eligible base or the base OS product key i.e. Windows 7/8.1/10130 your material is digitized and stored with a Microsoft Product Activation Server. Therefore, Windows 10 TH2 activation is also linked to the motherboard.

Since you will need to install Windows 10 TH2 from scratch, you are better off just wipe it HARD and pure install Windows 10 TH2 on XPS 8500 and sell second hand as a complete system. Then you can focus on your custom build or buy an XPS 8900.

  • The graphics card upgrade issues...

I recently bought this graphics card: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=5660536&sku=A271-5774

Also, I advanced and bought this power supply: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3276573

I own a HP Pavilion a6414 and this is my first video/graphics card upgrade.  I did a good bit of research and I know that I have the PCI E x 16 appropriate for the card slot and the power SUPPLY 650 Watt PSU to insert in the ATX case. I measure the UAP present btw.  I'm a little worried about the upgrade of the power supply, because I read somewhere (I think it's here on this forum) that some HP tech rep said a person who upgrade the power supply could not be performed on the a6414, but I don't see why not.

My other concern is about the speed of the processor to the graphics card and possibly voltage problems, but I think the power SUPPLY Ultra PSU will be fine.  Either that it is my first time to play with the graphics card and PSU, I'm looking for advice on the compatibility between these three components, i.e. the model, the card and the power supply.  Any input will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

I installed everything today and it works like a charm.  I had read so much about the HD 5770 not recognized by HPs and the test of the power supply, but everything worked so far.  I bought a LG LED 20 "monitor today as well, and everything looks great.  Thanks for all the advice guys...  The links you provided helped with Dave BIOS, thanks.

  • HP ProBook 4445 s processor and graphics card upgrade

    Hello

I need to have my CPU and graphics card upgraded to the requirements below please add link/s that will help me

    Processor
I need to improve my processor 1.90 GHz to 4 GHz (at least 2.66 GHz). Then please add a link/s to this processor/s that I can use to upgrade my laptop to 2.66 GHz at least, or reach 4 Ghz.

    Video card
I also need to improve my video card from the AMD Radeon HD 7640 G to a DirectX 11 with 2 GB of video ram (at least 1 GB of video ram). Please add link/s on what card video/s who reach the requirements I need.

    Thank you

    Here's the problem with that:

    AMD A6 - 4400M, Max 3,2 GHz / 2.7 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, Dual-Core,.
    Graphic 35W: 7520G HD

    AMD - A8 4500 M, Max 2.8 GHz/1, 9-basis of GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, quadcore,.
    Graphic 35W: 7640G HD

    AMD - A4 - 4300M, 3.0 GHz maximum / 2.5 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, double
    Core, graphic 35W: HD 7420 G

Above are your graphics options for laptop. If yours is 1.9 ghz it cannot the A8, which is the best CPU and GPU option available. The video is part of the processor. There is just no way for you to improve the graphics capabilities of this laptop. It may seem like the A-6 is better because it works to 2.7 ghz, but there only 2 hearts: you have 4. And the 7520 graphics are lower than what you have. That's what you try to do? There is not too many computers that reach 4 ghz, not to mention a laptop.

  • XPS 8900 CPU cooler upgrade: a much quieter and cooler operation

I recently upgraded my GPU and noticed that my CPU fan was making more noise than I remembered - sort of a monotonous noise.  I checked my time CPU and discovered that, at idle, the CPU was struck 38 - 42 c.

I decided to upgrade my cooling.  The main limitation (also the fact that Dell has a non-standard configuration of CPU backplate) is that the somewhat narrow case on the 8900 XPS does not allow the installation of most of the coolers high performance cheap because they are too high by 1/2 "- 3/4".  Then I found the H7 Cyrorig, who owns three heat pipes, a huge radiator and 120mm fan in a package that is 'only' 145mm of height - just enough to fit in the short case.  I installed it yesterday and it works GREAT.  Very happy with it, at the beginning at least.

I also traded fan Sunon stock for a Cooler Master Blade Master 92 mm fan, which is quieter but similar specifications CFM.

Overall, the computer is now more quiet at 100% load, it was before idling.  And my time CPU dropped 15 ° C.  Great upgrade.  I made a video on how I did here:

    cs_setInnerHtml ('video_dfdd403e-b431-4f7a-983 b-7298e7b03226' ");

.. and here are some pictures:

    @JarrodSmith

You can always connect the suction fan using a molex 3 adapter PIN or similar. Do not use a PIN Y-splitter 3 with the stock exhaust fan unless you do not want the suction fan not to come to 100%. What I've done is moved the stock exhaust and done as a plug so that it is always connected to the motherboard fan PIN then placed a fan cfm 88 is monitored by a fan controller and powered by a molex 3 pin coming from the PSU adapter. I have also an another suction fan works 100%, which is also directly powered by the PSU. In this way, the jury is fooled to believe that he always have control over the exhaust, what she does not like the stock exhaust is now a fan of aspiration and since I placed a fan cfm upper aft setting of the new fan is more than the maximum power of the stock fan more I have the ability to crank it up to 88 ft3/min if I want it when room temperature of the room is on the hot side depending on the weather.

  • 700 - 281eo envy: RAM upgrades and guaranteed

    Hello!

So I have a question regarding the upgrade of my computer.

I recently had a problem when it comes to my RAM. It seems that 8 GB of RAM is not enough, that I use my computer for (mainly play games etc...), as I had many accidents because of the low amount of available ram (for example 4 Fallout, which uses almost all of it).

So my question is: if I have the RAM on my computer upgrade me a 16 GB Kit, my warranty is void? And would do no matter what kit of RAM, or I have to use strips of crucial ram?

Also on the side in question, if I decide in the future to update my graphics card to a GTX 1060 (which uses 70W less than my current 270 R9) that manages the more wins.

    Thank you for reading!

    @Robert_B

Adding memory wouldn't void your warranty. "Unless you break something, do the upgrade".

You can use any memory manufacturer provided they meet your specifications.

    ● 204-pin DDR3-DIMM

    ● DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333 MHz) SDRAM memory

    ● Unbuffered non ECC DIMMS (64-bit)

    ● 1, 5V dead memory

    ● 16.0 GB maximum installable memory help

4 GB modules. Actual available memory that

can be used in Windows will be less.

  • Re: Overheating and lag issues on the Satellite C660/C660D

    Hello community of Toshiba

I am a new user of Toshiba, I have a new Toshiba laptop as a model of its Satellite C660 / C660D, I use my new laptop for 6 months and I have some kind of a lot of time on my laptop. Sometimes I keep it open for more than 10 hours.

My problem is like 3-4 months at the bottom right of the screen there is a caution came out as "there's something wrong with your hard drive, you should give it to any service of Toshiba for warranty".
But it happened because I played on users, I mean users option for windows, not something material, changing just the current user name caused this and he now has weird name when I reversed the name change; He turned to something like TOSH ~ 1, etc.

After several times, I mean like 1 month ago, my computer got very slow. Video games with their high resolution, but now the phone LAGS even I put it in low resolution, I played... I did not change any material or touched. But it is frustrating to see that I can't do the things I used to do more.

Another thing is, I'm afraid of the heat from the laptop. Is it normal to have 49-50 degrees? Because when I play games, it is around this level. I live in a hot city.

Some people asked me to use HD Tune to check that if I have a bad sector on the hard drive, I did. Does not work either.
I deleted some of my files to get the free space on my HARD drive also, likely 150 concerts altogether. I even wiped the empty space in my HDD via CCleaner. I often do the basis of registry-fix with it as well. Movies and games flash hangs out as well. And sometimes when I watch videos, the sound cuts, so I have to pause, and then click play it again to fix it but it happens in various video players, not youtube. Very probably all watching anime.

And what do I do? I don't want to go for the service, I'm sure they'll make me wait several weeks of 100%. I use usually my laptop with its adapter. Oh and, over the life of my laptop, 2 - 3 times he got stopped himself while it wasn't on the map whenever I check, he was really but really hot.

So, what should I do? I don't want to open the computer to look inside, I do not understand, and he would risk my 2 year warranty.

I am looking forward for your answers, I'll be very happy. Thank you.

It is not easy to say what the problem is here. In General, you should think about upgrading the RAM to the maximum level. With more RAM laptop should have more power and different operations should be made much more quickly.

To make my laptop better and faster I ve upgraded RAM to the maximum level and also changed SSD HARD drive. So big difference there and phone now works like a rocket. Think about upgrading RAM.
    > Another thing is, I'm afraid of the heat from the laptop. Is it normal to have 49-50 degrees?
From my point of view, this temperature is normal and certainly not too high. When you use your laptop, place it on the office and ensure that the cooling fan and cooling rack are free and not blocked.

Don t open your laptop. Anyway, you can't do anything except to void your warranty. RAM upgrade can be done by the owner of the laptop and it will not void your warranty.

  • Satellite P300 - the graphics card will be cooled for Autodesk Autocad?

What is my questions, the graphics card will be cool for Autodesk Autocad / Civil3d 2010 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650

    Thanks Civil3Dave

    Hello!

I n t have experience with Autodesk Autocad and I put t know why you ask if the graphics card will be cooled but on each laptop the CPU, the GPU and chipset will be cooled if it of necessary. If the laptop overheats.

Maybe you should check the system requirements for the programs you want to install. So you can determine if the graphics card is compatible with the programs.

    I hope I could help a bit.

    Good bye

  • Error7 message about the signature unidentified, the upgrade and installation of iTunes 10.5 for Windows Vista.

Original title: error upgrading and installation of iTunes 10.5 for Windows 6.

I tried all kinds of ways to solve this problem, but I can't seem to find a solution. This all started when I tried to update my iTunes to version 10.5. Then came the error message 7 on unidentified signature etc. I could not even run my iTunes more then. I started download iTunes again to repair and it just doesn't work. I don't have problems with the installation of my iTunes for the first time a year ago and upgraded whenever I allow it.

All other methods I tried to correct the error includes:
    • Uninstall iTunes completely and everything that it supports the programs and files (Quicktime, supporter of Mobile, Hello, Safari etc.)
    • Download Quicktime separately after you have uninstalled it as suggested by other users in some forum.
    • Update the frame Microsot.NET as suggested by the Apple Support site.
    • Manually started the installation of such Windows program suggested by one of the answers on this site:

      a. click the Start button, and then type services.msc in the start search box and press ENTER.
      b. Locate the Windows Installer service.
      c. check that the status is started. If the condition column is empty,
      d. right-click on Windows Installer, and then select start.
      e. If you get error trying to force start the Windows Installer service, then try to change the Startup Type to automatic.
      f. restart the computer.

  • Pavilion e9280t: the graphics card upgrade

I had to spend my original GeForce GT220 graphics card to use at least three 3 monitors so I bought EVGA GeForce GT 640.  When I installed the card, everything was fine until the computer, install the driver and start then computer began to stop and start several times and then stopped at c prompt and siad it is impossible to find a bootable.  Long story short, I had to use my emergency disk and restart the computer.

Then, I started reading Blogs about the HP graphics card chain and one of technology pointed out I should buy Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 and this card will work without upgrading PSU, so I did.  Now, with the GTX 660 computer card keep start and stop and I can't seem to stop.  I spoke with a few outside tech and they said that I need to improve my diet.  If this is the case, then the HP expertise technology was not entirely accurate or I have another problem.

The UPE recommended are: (1) Corsair HX650 and (2) RS-650.  I also read that this MB Pegatron IPMTB-TK does not many power supplies above 550-650 watts.

Can someone tell me what is my computer problem?  Need to pass the power supply and if I do what PSU I can use?  Model and Type to fit properly in the case?

    Hello

The differences between the reference models and variants will vary according to the manufacturer.  See the image below and notice number 6 power connectors that are necessary.  Depending on the configuration of your PC, a GTX 660 can't get enough power to the 460 watt power supply in your PC. As I said earlier, I didn't have a question of power using the EVGA GTX 660.  Graphics NVIDIA GTX 660 cards are border line with some power supplies according to the design of the PSU and the loading PC.

The Corsair CX500, or CX600 would be excellent choices. Note: the power supply fan is mounted upward toward the top of the Cabinet because it will shoot in the air fresh from along the edge of the top side entries.
