• APEX mapping 5 (and extensions in general)

  Hello

  I am completely confused with APEX 5 graphics. APEX itself has 2 types of graphics - HTML and Flash ones, but the bundled sample applications came with the graphics plugin. If I open the components shared = > Plugins, I see there in 'All LINK' a link to http://apex.oracle.com/plugins , but if I open the link, I can't find a word here on these new cards (and other plugins as well). Are these plugins (I mean all the plugins used in packaged applications) officially supported by Oracle, they are here to stay with us and what type of cards are we supposed to use in new projects?

  In addition, Oracle Application Express management representation statement mentions of new graphics engine. This new mapping engine is compatible with these graphics plugin, is it really the same as graphics current plugin or what?

  Please, any info on APEX 5 plugins would be much appreciated.

  as did Oracle Open World and Oracle JET (http:/// www.oraclejet.org/) was finally announced, we are now able to provide more information about our new engine for creating charts in 5.1.

  As some of you already guessed it, we plan to use the components of the deep venous thrombosis (data visualization) of Oracle JET for our new charting engine. Take a look at Oracle JET - visualizations of data about how they look and what is possible. These maps provide many configuration options and we think they have a same set as AnyChart featured, but provide much better accessibility and delicate design. In addition DVT contains some types of graphics (for example, Polar and funnel) we have not supported by APEX but we intend to incorporate into the APEX 5.1.

  It is not our intention to expose all these options as declarative attributes in the Page Designer, as he would be to trace the way most developers of complicated. But experienced developers will be able to specify a function JavaScript for each region of chart customize settings. It is during initialization and loading the data and allows you to manipulate the JavaScript object that is used to initialized the graphic widget.   You can add a graphical button to a widget accordion instead of using just the text?

  You can do this in the text box in the accordion. Here's what you want to do. Add/create the chart or the button on the page of Muse (not in the accordion). Once you have it set the size you want, select the item, and then copy it. Go to your accordion, then click the tab that you want the image to appear. Just like if you were to type in the box. Instead of typing you want to paste the selected chart. I hope this helps.

• How to apply a graphic style to a widget for use with another widget?

  I am trying to apply a positioning widget to a simple contact form. Is this possible? Muse is not allow me to assign a graphic style for the contact widget.

  You can apply effects of form and then save it as a library for use in other pages, I think it's a third party widget on the widget.

• interactions between widget and widget graphic metric detail application

  I'm trying to configure a dashboard with several interactions.  First of all, I have a health status widget which displays the State of health of the tiers of an application.  When you click a pane it shows the detail of the application of the machines at this level in a retail application widget.  It works very well, I would be able to select a machine in the retail application widget and have settings I choose appear in the metric graph widget.  Now when I created that random metric see room for the machine in the metric graph widget.  I would choose what parameters appear in the metric graph.  Is there anywhere to configure that?

  Yes, set up an interaction of res file to configure the widgets to display always the same attributes. Then, you can apply this file to a Sparkline widget, generic dash or graphic metric.

  I can tile an image out there, something I can experiment with different looks. But what really interests me is to find how others have made single custom folding panels to see how far we can get rectangles stacked with background images. Or even using other free apps / behaviors that mask the content. (I messed with layers at one point but got away from it) URLz appreciated!

• On Windows 8, some widgets, such as the menu near the upper right button, stop working after awhile, and restored by restarting the PC.

  I use the latest versions of Firefox as soon as they are available on a PC in Windows 8. Firefox works fine, usually a few hours before the annoying problems manifest. The problem, that I address here is some widgets, including some widgets Firefox and widgets (such as buttons and selectors menu drop down) isolated in some sites stop functioning. In Firefox, the Menu button (the icon of three dashes stacked) stops working. And the download arrow sometimes stops working too. Sometimes, sub-items as printed stop working. A pull-down, the high and arrow down keys could still work even if I might now be able to select with the mouse. Closing and re-opening Firefox usually restores some functionality. However, I usually have to restart the PC to restore all the functions that has stopped working. So I'm good for usually a few hours yet. Another inconvenience, which others have addressed, is the appearance of Chinese characters - to research on the tab toolbar labels at the top. Restart Firefox gets rid of these for the moment.   Thanks for the quick reply and for the advice that you have presented.
  I downloaded and installed the graphics driver that you recommended. The process went well. I have hardware acceleration disabled by an earlier recommendation to remove these Oriental characters.
  After two days of problem apparently having been fixed, I considered replying to report success. But before I could get around to doing so, abnormal behaviors reappeared. Thanks for confirming the source of these Oriental characters. Previous research indicates that the source was with McAfee or Firefox, a bit like a battle for "pointing the finger" in between.

• Notification Center Widgets inadmissible

• LabVIEW Crash after graphical mapping and line_style field have been changed

  Hello everyone,

  I had a very specific problem that occurred to me mainly by 'chance '. But the error is reproducible every time I tried it.

  I'm under LabVIEW 2012 (German) on a Lenovo PC with Windows 7.

  The VI that generates the error adapts the appearance of a chart according to the type of data that must be drawn.

  I have attached the blockdiagram of VI as an image.

  The chart is part of a VI that is inserted into another VI as a secondary.

  Issue VI performed as follows:

  (1) take the data in a table of waveforms.

  (2) check to see what type of data it is, and take the form of style information a type definition.

  (3) set the graphical style for X and Y axis: Autoscale?, reversed?, Grid_Colors, (linear/logarithmic) mapping, limits, Axis_Style, Offset and factor

  (4) put the waveforms in the chart in order to ensure the right number of plots for step 5 (data must also take anyway.)

  (5) iterates on the plots and value: line width, color, style, Style of Dot, visibility

  (6) to force a refresh.

  If I perform all of the above steps the VI blocks between step 4 and 5. This leads to a failure of LabVIEW to 100% time, need to LabVIEW and ended with the Task Manager. In about 5% of cases my entire operating system goes down, too.

  The error will NOT occur if I do only one of them:

  (1) use waveforms 'empty '. This means that the table does no data points.

  (2) do not change the mapping of an axis any. (linear logarithmic or vice versa)

  (3) does not change the line of off-road style.

  In the case of mapping it makes no difference if the change is not made or if new mapping is the old mapping. In both cases the error will not occur.

  For me, the solution was to remove the line Style change. I can live with that.

  My Question is now: is that what someone knows why this happens?

  Hi Sebastian,.

  This does not seem like a common problem. The behavior that you see in your application is probably due to a lot of load on an item in a very short time. Have you tried to do a little slower, perhaps with a wait between the two?

  A refresh of a graphic element, espescially if there is a lot of data points already inside, takes a lot of load on the system, it's probably why the system doesn't crash if there is no data in it points.

  Do not modify all properties of a live Widget in a single cycle.

On the graphics card. I am a light gamer and I think of ASUS GeForce GT430 1 GB DDR3 video card. Will it work with my system? If this is not the case, what will be?

  Resolved, I used the chart.apis.google.com to display graphics in my widget.

  So I create an image on my body: to preload the graphics, then I call a function on the onLoad of the body:

• Loading an image out of a widget... Legend/display until this only charged text?

  I create an image using google static graphics and display it inside one of my widgets. Once the web request is made to the chart, I place the on the form, but I would like to be able to set the ALT text or something to show somehow a text until the image appears. Any ideas/thoughts?

  

  I did similar things in the widgets that might be of help in this situation.

  When your page loads all first use an image of "loading" to act as a space reserved where the graph is supposed to go.  Make sure that this placeholder image is generic and local for the widget so that it loads instantly.

  Then use AJAX to retrieve the table.  Specifically, I use the Gears HTTPRequest object because it has a responseBlob property.  Once you have retrieved into a blob content save your image graphic/blob with a unique name locally on the file system (be sure to white list this place).  Then replace the placeholder image "src" with the local path to the saved image.

  Now at this point you're probably thinking... Why the hell would I do that?

  The reason why I suggest this is because caching is not enabled in the widgets.  By doing this you are essentially caching the image to the next, and it will be much faster.  On the next view, if your data points in the chart are the same, just pull the image directly from the local file system to the place to recover again.

  It becomes like your own little hidden on the file system that you control.  We will also be providing built in caching in a near future of widgets that will help you in this scenario.  But it is also a good technique for all AJAX requests for data that are just snippets of XML/HTML.  Put in browser cache only put cache files and not blocks of data retrieved by XMLHttpRequest.  I found creating a small cache of the generic file system is quite simple and quite convenient.

• I have a question if someone is there. I have build an interactive site and have problems with the presentation widget?

  I am creating an interactive website for a client developer. We are eager to build an interactive site where a potential buyer can see the rendering of the image of the kitchen and choose different finishes (floors, counters, backsplash ect.). I use the widget presentation stacked for interactivity. For example, the cabinets are all in a widget. The second widget contains the upper part of the counter. The third widget will contain the floors. All targets of widgets are stacked with various components of rendering and triggers are more towards the left to graphically create a kiosk. I have a question when I look in a preview of the browser. Sometimes the trigger buttons work and some times they do not have. They don't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I need help! Someone has an idea?

  You must understand that triggers and targets are different... the triggers can be inside the goals as long as they do not belong in other triggers

  The Services button go upstairs to the left so that the home, about, Gallery, Studio or contact buttons stay made the fallen on the spot with the master header.

  I opened your project Muse and the first thing I noticed is on your main page, there is a status button and another image of the page. This is not the same thing as other Adobe applications. It's not really a work plan. This is a site Web and things can exist in basically any coordinated XY if she will never be visible or not. Muse seeks to position these elements as best he can. Remove the extra stuff, or hide on the layers panel, and you should be good to go.
