Graphics card external for my laptop?

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1340sa - it has an integrated graphics card and therefore cannot be upgraded * sigh *, however I have heard of external graphics cards. Is it possible to use one with this laptop? And if so it will be reasonably priced or should I just buy a desktop computer?

Completely disappointed that I can't play my games

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, forget the external graphics card. They are expensive and really just aim to enable multiple monitors to be used. They are not powerful enough for the games. USB 3.0 is much better, but your laptop doesn't have a USB 3.0 ports.

I formatted my laptop and then reinstalled Win8.1 but I lost all the drivers that have been installed, when I bought the product. Most of the drivers have been replaced when I updated my windows. Some drivers like AMD, Realtek audio player graphics driver have not been installed. Where can I find this driver and also give me some tips to install this driver.

    Hello:

You should be able to use the drivers W8.1 of ac000-15 t on your model, except the BIOS and firmware files.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-ac000-notebook-PC-series-(touch) / 7777391/model/8341289

You want the AMD and Intel graphics drivers.  Install the Intel one, reboot the PC and then install the AMD one and reboot the PC.

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output of high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    File name: sp71257.exe

This package provides the graphics driver AMD/Intel switchable high definition (HD) for models of laptop computers that are running an operating system supported. For laptops equipped with switchable graphics modes, this package contains the drivers for the two graphics (GPU). Switchable graphics allow users to switch between a graphical power mode (normally used under the power of the battery) and a mode of graphics performance.

  • I get the blue screen in the LR development mode, even though I have updated the driver for the graphics card on this new laptop. It's an AMD Radeon R5 M335 4 GB memory DDR3, core i7 6th gen processor. What should do?

Hi guys, I get the blue screen in the LR development mode, even though I have updated the driver for the graphics card on this new laptop. It's an AMD Radeon R5 M335 4 GB memory DDR3, core i7 6th gen processor. What should do? Thank you

This Eizo has a normal resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. I expect not to see a lot of benefits of using the GPU. You really see the advantage to screens that are at least 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) or more. On small screens, you can see some benefits with smoother updates if you ONLY use the base sliders to develop. If you use brushes, turning on the GPU can actually slow you down a bit. In most cases, loading images in develop is also slower when you activated! There are a few illustrative notes to an engineer from Adobe that you can read here: notes for Lightroom CC GPU (2015) in order to better understand what is happening. Currently, in most cases, I recommend leaving off the coast. I think that Adobe is trying to improve and have more cards supported, but it is not yet completely there.

  • HP pavilion dv6 - 6163cl graphics card driver for windows 8.1

Hello world.. !! I just upgraded from Microsoft Windows 8 Professional to Microsoft Windows 8.1 Professional, everything is fine except the display. The graphics driver is not installed after installing fresh Windows 8.1 Professional, although it worked perfectly with Windows 8 Professional. I use hp Pavilion dv6 - 6163cl Entertainment Notebook PC. Operating system is Microsoft Windows Professional 8.1 (64-bit). 6 GB of Ram and processor 2.3 Ghz. I tried to install Graphics Card Driver for Windows 7 64-bit, but it says "not a version supported." I did not go to the graphics drivers for Windows 8.1 for my PC. Help, please...

Thanks for the reply and useful links. I downloaded the correct driver from the related city, it was for windows 8, I installed it and it gives the display a more sharp than before installation, but it was not as cool and sharp as it was in Windows 8 pre-installed. The text and any other presentation does not look much sharper and stronger as it should. so waiting for a new version of the display driver Windows Pro 8.1. Please answer and mention it in a link as soon as it is available for download.

    Cordially said.

  • Which is the best graphic card (fromNvidia) for the first and after?

    Hello, that is the question.

Which is the best graphic card (fromNvidia) for the first and after? In order to improve the performance of preview and rendering time.

It's the Gtx 970 good enough? or do I have to go to the 980ti?

Is there any other better Nvidia in both these needs?

I have these specs and I work in Full HD:

    I7 4900, 32 GB of ddr3 memory, ssd.

    Thank you in advance.

I don't know about these two maps first, but AE the GPU makes very little difference at all.

The current version of AE uses the GPU to very little. The ray-traced rendering engine is the only great thing that AE uses the GPU and this feature is now considered obsolete.

That being said, if you are using third-party plugins for AE using the GPU (as, for example), it's a different story. For the element, I heard that the 970 GTX is the best bang for your buck; the 980-up would not be worth the price difference.

  • Laptop & graphics card required for Adobe Cloud?

    Hi all

, I'm looking for a new laptop and want to be sure that I buy one with the conditions required for Adobe Cloud.  Is the configuration required for Cloud based on different software (eg. Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, etc.) or are there requirements just to use the Cloud?  I don't know much about computers so I'm having a hard time find one that meets the required conditions.  I would be very happy if someone who already uses clouds of Adobe can provide suggestions.  I'm not an Apple person, currently I'm looking in the following laptops:

    Dell Inspiron 14z:

3rd generation Intel Core i5 processor

    8 GB memory

500 GB 5400 RPM SATA HDD and SSD 32 GB mSATA

AMD Radeon HD7570M 1 GB video card

    Dell Inspiron 14R:

4th generation Intel Core processor i5-4200U

    8 GB memory

1 TB SATA hard drive 5400 RPM

    Graphics Intel HD 4400

    Sony Vaio did:

3rd generation Intel Core i5 processor

NVIDIA GeForce GT M 740 graphics card (1 GB) hybrid

750 GB (5400 RPM) hard drive

    8 GB (4 GB x 2) DDR3L - 1600 MHz

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Thanks Ashish!  It looks like Microsoft Windows or Mac OS and internect connection is required for the creative cloud desktop app, so I think I have it is not to worry about the system requirements for each program of the meeting?

  • Can I damage my graphics card by connecting my laptop to my tv via hdmi.

Hi, I was shopping at Best Buy and I heard someone saying that I could damage my graphics card by connecting my pc to my TV via HDMI. This is a not seem OK for me but thought I would check doube. I have a dv6-3225dx Pavilion Entertainment PC. I have windows 7 64 bit. Thank you very much

    Hello:

I've never heard of such a claim.

People connect external monitors and TV on their laptops all the time, that's why they are equipped with video/HDMI ports.

Probably, there is a higher risk of damage/overheating to the graphics card for games graphics intensive video then they streaming video to an external monitor/TV.

    I would not be concerned.

  • I tell Lightroom to use the graphics card in my new laptop?

    Hello!

I have a new laptop and have managed to transfer my photos, the catalog and LR parameters everywhere.

There better than my previous specifications, including a decent (I think!) dedicated graphics card.  I have integrated graphics before so don't know how it works.  I must say applications, such that Lightroom, to use the graphics card, or it will be automatically be done by the software/operating system?  If I don't need to do something, it's to each software (like Lightroom), the parameters of the computer, or in some third-party control software?

    Thanks for your thoughts.

Now Lightroom doesn't take advantage of the features in higher-quality graphics cards. It remains to be seen if that change at some point in the future.

  • 8 graphics card drivers for Windows

OK so I have a Sony Vaio, which the graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD M 7500 / 7600M.
I had the brilliant idea of installing windows 8 on it.
Everything was fine and dandy, until I realized that on 64-bit Windows 8 (Professional, not the consumer, woo dreamspark version), the graphics card driver does not support OpenGL.
So I checked around, went to the AMD website, went to pilots and so on.

I went to the page of the driver has been
    http://support.AMD.com/us/gpudownload/w... 32.aspx - n7
    that ^.
Now, I realized that it is a verification tool. Thing is, basically, he said that the tool is not compatible with Sony's Vaio Laptops. I don't know if the audit tool, which is not compatible, or the drivers, he should get. If it is just the tool, is there a way to get the drivers separately?
And if my general lack of knowledge of how drivers work is obvious by my previous question, what can I do?

TL; Dr. you shouldn't have TL; Dr would be, but whatever. Graphics driver have OpenGL. The gadget driver installation does not work with Vaio. Lack of knowledge make stupid go woohoo.

    Hello Intrebute,
What computer VAIO Model do you have?
    Please visit our [url = http://www.sony.com/us/windows8:1x9a3p4c] Windows 8 Page [/ url: 1x9a3p4c]
Check your model to see if your PC is supported for Windows 8, get the drivers and much more...

  • More high graphics card Possible for early 2009 Mac Pro

As the title suggests, I have an early 2009 Mac Pro with 12 GB of RAM.

I want to update my graphics card to something better and I have no idea of what I put in the card. Ideally, I would like to put the last possible graphics card that is compatible for this.

I don't know what I would look for PCI or PCI - e and what diet I would look for that would support such a computer "arcane".

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Best wishes

    Sergio

the 2009 mac 4.1 pro can be upgraded to a number of current spare cards from Nvidia and AMD, but in many cases the cards require custom flashing of the Distributor and custom drivers. You need to buy a card with a distributor of mac because versions "Windows" of these cards will not work out of the box and OS X will not support without 3rd party drivers. This procedure is not recommended by apple that would rather you buy a new mac pro and again I want to say something for $5K, which offers the latest GPU is already 3 years old.

research on the Web "Mac Pro 4.1 GPU" for more details.

  • Low graphics card Profile for HP Compaq PRO 6300 Small Form Factor

I need to buy a PC for a CAD workstation, I want a dedicated graphics card and understand that the 6300's are limited due to food being only 240 watts.

I want a graphics card dedicated good to deal with this power supply.  I heard that the AMD Radeon HD 6450 will work with these are the best cards?

I don't want a graphcis which are to two screens such as the Nvidia NVS 300.

    Thank you

    Mike

You are the very welcome, Mike.

Yes, you had to use one physical CPU selection, not based on how many carrots he has.

I don't buy that of CMT / MT for the reason of low power PS in the SFF.

    Even those who 325W P/S

However, it gives me more of a variety of choice at the hardware level - and I don't have to make sure that the parts come with profile low supports.

In any case, I think that the 610GT will work very well to the SFF 6300.

    Best regards

  • Good graphics card upgrade for HP Pavilion p7-1534?

    Hello

I just got a new HP Pavilion p7-1534 for my birthday. I want to update my graphics card because I'm a big gamer, but I don't know where to start. What are some cards compatible with this system? It would be nice to be able to get one that will run the new generation games (ex: 4 Battlefield http://bf4central.com/battlefield-4-system-requirements/) heating maximum without having to upgrade my power supply, but if not, that's okay, I'd like to see some cards at both ends of the spectrum (those who will AND will not require an upgrade to the PSU).

    Thank you for your time,

    -J

Jay, welcome to the forum and the happy birthday late.  Congratulations on your new computer.

The power supply unit (PSU) in your computer is 300W.  Most new mid-level video cards require at least 400W to work properly.  Any card that will work with the 300W PSU will be much better than the integrated video.  The games that you want to read will not perform just the way you expect.

I like the OCZ and Corsair PSU.  They will provide clean and stable power for your system.  I recommend at least 500W; 550W at 600W is even better.  You can buy one of these brands for less than $100.  Both in the links I provided would do a very good job.  If you decide to buy one of them, please read all of the reviews.

Here's a map that would work very well for what you want it to do.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  Of course, we should upgrade the power supply.
