Graphics card on pavilion slimline s3700y can be improved

I'm trying to find a way to upgrade this computer to play newer games.

Marepbm, welcome to the forum.

The truth is, Slimline models are not intended to be upgraded.  Their small business do not allow for good air circulation.  This will create too much heat.  Heat is your enemy.  A video card that would work with the power supply (PSU), would be much better than the integrated video.  Therefore, I do not make recommendations.  I know that's not what you wanted to hear.  However, I do not think that you would see enough performance win to justify the extra expense.

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Slimline s5706f desktop computer and its card mother H-apricot-RS780L-Μatx (apricot). According to the specification, this model does not have a PCIe x 16 graphics card slot or any other slot for graphics card for this question. This system is unable to accept a graphics card. The motherboard contains only two slot PCIe x 1 which are not really evaluated for graphics cards.

    Laptops are unlike desktop computers.

Desktop PC have an open architecture that make the relatively simple upgrade.

PC laptop and portable access to the e/s available and put at level of the slots through the doors of the inspection and often almost total disassembly.

Laptops are also limited by the BIOS and the physical attributes systemboard on the video modules and wireless can be used for upgrades.

A BIOS of the laptop has a white list of the modules that are acceptable. If a module wireless or video is not on the whitelist, then it cannot be used. If a notebook THAT BIOS found during the POST (power on self test) as a module not on the white list has been installed it will warn you and it won't start the laptop computer in the operating system installed.

If money is no object you can update the video through an exotic external graphics solution like Vidock Gfx.

  • graphics card for pavilion p6720f

can anyone recommend a graphics card for pavilion p6720f? Thanks in advance I would also like to upgrade power supply please notify a bit fragile onboard graphics

    Hello

The specifications for the p6720f indicate a 250 watt power supply.  There is not enough power in this power supply to run a decent discrete video card.

    Hey.

HP Pavilion - 17-f105nx (ENERGY STAR)

Product name: HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC
    Product number: K8M29EA #A2N

I want to change my graphics card I can it do or not?

    Help me please

    Hi @cazlo ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook f105nx 17 and want to change the graphics card.  It shows me that the integrated graphics card is integrated into the motherboard. Therefore, the only way to be changed, you would have removed and change the motherboard. This is a link to the specifications.

    Sorry, thank you.

  • Pavilion slimline s5310y: can I upgrade the grapics card in slimline s5310y? GPU NVIDIA 6150 not windows 10 in line.

can I replace with another gpu card compatible wW10?  If Yes, what make & model to recommend?

    You'll be glad you asked!

The 5310y is WIN 7 based and as such is BIOS 7.  It supports only a total of two 2GB memory modules. (In case you ask later). The meagre 220W PSU likely will have to be replaced. Now to the question.

Any future graphics card should not be UEFI and the previous generation.   But again once there is a problem, your system is a slimline.   It requires a LOW - Profile graphics card.  Read here for an overview.  The links suggest maps adapted with a new power supply.  It's what yourexisting 220W THAT PSU looks like , it is not a standard form, it's a TFX.

  • I have a hp pavilion slimline s5220y, can I add another video card to run an additional monitor?

    HP Pavilion Slimline, s5220y

    Windows 7 Home Premium

No changes have been made to PC

I need to add a video card to run an additional monitor, I would like to know if anyone has managed to do this, and if so, could they maybe give me the information I need to order a correct map. I was recommended to use

Article # G4588410 of Tiger Direct. I read where I remove the modem in order to accomolish?

The EVGA UV19 seems to be a viable solution if the current integrated graphics adapter is suitable for your use.

  • Low profile & power graphics card for s3321p Slimline

Hi I currently own a HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p. It's a good system, except the graphics card.

    OS: Vista 32-bit

RAM: 2 GB (will likely move to 4 GB)

    Hard drive: 500 GB

    PSU: 160W

    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 5000 + (2.6 GHz)

Course graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

You can find more details here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01297158

I know it's really hard to find a graphics card for 160W, but I really don't want to upgrade my power supply.

I would like to play the new Sim City 5, and specifications of my computer are satisfying the requirements (surpassing a number), except for the graphics. I need to at least 256 MB and the 6150 has only 128 MB. Could you give me any suggestions on a graphics card that will fill my computer and the power supply? Thank you.

    Thanks, help is really appreciated.

Also, I'm a bit confused about the difference between a chipset and a card, could you explain that? It is said that there is 1 PCI x 16 slot for a graphics card.

If you think that I really need a new power supply, could you give some recommendations? But I really try to avoid it, then, Yes. Thanks again and sorry for this post so long.

You have already linked to the card to your computer, but for good measure... Here are the specifications of original factory for your HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p desktop again. As you already know, there's only a non - ATX 160 watts of power. The only way you'll be able to install a graphics card in retail is to upgrade your diet. www.athenapower.com should have a diet that will power a graphics card with a system recommended nominal power of 300-400 watts power. Alternatively, you can contact HP, see if they have a low graphics power of cutom made card that will work with the provision of 160 watts of power. This option will probably be more expensive.

According to specifications, your computer has integrated graphics using nVidia GeForce 6150SE integrated chipset with up to 256 MB (512 MB or more of memory system). Basically, a motherboard with integrated graphics card has the graphics capability built into the motherboard. A graphics card, on the other hand, is a map designed to plug into a slot on the motherboard. As a general rule, a graphics card will be more powerful than integrated graphics card of a chipset.

Please let us know how you want to proceed and we should be able to help you any further.

  • Update graphics card on Pavilion

I have a Pavilion P6719 desktop computer.  My son is unable to play games 3D on Steam, and so I was wondering what I should update the graphics card.  I was also told I need upgrade the power supply because it is 250 watts.  No idea how much these improvements?  Thank you.

Hi, I'm glad I could help.

Since your motherboad specifications, you should be ok.

It has a PCI Express Gen 2.

The provision should allow a video card double width.

The current supply is a standard ATX case size.

It's 250 watts, so you will need to update.

So quite here what they are available everywhere.

I can truly say all the necessary connections for sure without actually opening it watch, if you order something without knowing for sure get something with a lot of connections to the computer.

A ULTRA ULT-LSP750 should do the trick.

It has enough additional connections which should cover all the bases.

PS I don't know anything about computers...  Use them only for games

    Hi Alex,

Corsair HX650 has plenty of power to manage this EVGA 680.  Be sure to read the document which I quoted above. Measure and make sure you have room for a double wide of 10 "card.

I wait a while for Diablo 3 and just to see that the players have for the game performance. You may not need a $500 video card.

  • Memory of the graphics card of Pavilion p7-1010

    Hello

Recently, I bought a desktop Pavilion p7-1010 computer has. "System information" shows that his graphics card has 1 GB for RAM adapter, however, he is supposed to have 3 GB of memory. 'Information system' also show that the CD-Rom is DVD burner, whereas it should be blue ray burner.

I wonder if my understanding of the 'party system' is right and there is a problem with the configuration of my PC.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the page of product specifications.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03054470

It lists everything you say to... Blu - ray, a video card with 3 GB of memory onboard...

You can get more information by going to Device Manager. Click the CD-ROM/DVD-ROm drives section and you will see the device listed model. If it does not say Blu - Ray in the description, google what you see here and see what happens.

You can also watch the front plate of the car and look for the blu - ray symbol.

Video... Go to control panel > system. Then go to the section of windows experience index. Look at the detailed report and it will show the memory dedicated GPU and memory system available for your video card.

    Hi there @jhamaca,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for more information on graphics updates for your system. I'm happy to help you with this.

By looking at the motherboard and system specifications: HP Pavilion 22 - h040es TouchSmart all-in-One Desktop PC product specifications, HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - card motherboard (Lavender-U), your system does support not a discrete graphics card at all. The only possible apparent graphics upgrade, is based on the upgrade of the system processor and GPU is integrated into the processor itself. See the table under the heading "Information processor upgrade"

I hope that answers your question about your options and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.
