You can opt for the AMD Radeon HD 6350, the current map dual head, or you can buy a second-hand, but tested and functional

This Dell card I posted should work just fine.

If you want that a new map of low profile with HDMI, you can check the link below for the Radeon HD 6450. But make sure that the card you get comes with support for low profile and read the comments on some of these cards where they say the basket of pins VGA closing case.

If you get a card with HDMI output, it will disable your onboard video, then reboot the PC after loading the drivers for the card, go into the BIOS and in device configuration menu, change the integrated audio system setting from disabled to enabled. Save the setting here and even once, when you go out. Then get you your integrated audio system and have also audio HDMI if you need.

  • Installation graphics in my HP compaq dc7800 (sff)

So, basically, what I'm trying to install a graphics card in my Hp dc7800 small form factor, I've done the basics google search, reading many forums and will try to understand exactly how do youtube videos.

I am almost of ideas and this is the first time that I really try to replace / update my graphics card.

PC QuickSpecs: processor Intel core 2 duo 2.83 ghz, 4 GB of ram (physically available about 1 GB)

    Windows Vista Business (32-bit)

Graphics card: (dell) Ati radeon HD 3470 256 MB Low profile (such as new / refurbished)

I'm almost certain that this graphics card is compatible to ensure after-hours. Now, I did all the evidence; Uninstalling the Intel Q35 integrated graphics chipsets, power off the computer, inserting the radeon 3470 safely and without a doubt, go into bios and try to identify the correct settings to disable the integrated chipset (did not, which makes no such option).

Here's the question, when I do the following steps, when the graphics card is in, I turn on the computer, everything works well and plug the monitor into the slot of the card (with VGA adapter) only that the monitor DOESN'T light up as it normally would. Its black as if his sleep on (the monitor). same results plugging monitor on board VGA output WITH the card inside. When I take the card, plug the monitor into the VGA output start the computer, everything is fine.

I need to solve this problem, maybe it's something that I do not correctly. I'm not an expert and any help is appreciated thank you... !

NOTE: (cannot be a personal mistake, as my brother has the exact same PC and specifications with the same exact card - and problem)

    You are the very welcome.

You would know immediately if you clear the CMOS worked. You would have seen some videos on the screen.

Assuming that you always had a black screen, then the card is not good and you have no other choice than to try another video card.

Good luck for your next video card selection.

I would go with my recommendation, but it is up to you.

Your time and your tips are good apprecited. Thank you

    Hello:

You can actually install the HD 6450 low profile card.

It is the optional video card in the 8200 Elite SFF that has also a P/S 240W.

You can see this post where someone did exactly cela and the card works properly - page 3 of the related thread.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-hardware/graphics-card-for-HP-Compaq-dc7800/TD-p/1228843/highlight/true/page/3

If you buy a card with HDMI output, make sure that you go back into the BIOS > Advanced Menu > device configuration settings and change the integrated audio system setting from disabled to enabled. You save the setting here and once again, when you go out.

Also, make sure that you uninstall the graphics card in the Device Manager before you install a new card.  Do not restart afterwards. Shut down the PC instead, unplug the unit, press the power button to drain any residual power and install the new card.

I also believe that a GeForce 210 works OK in your PC too.

P/S advertised requirements are 300W if that makes feel you safer.

I have a minitour computer hp compaq dc7800 convertible. I want to develop it with a graphics card. I see my computer has a PCI Express x 16 slot. Does anyone know if the card must have the DDR2 memory? Or the graphics card could be DDR3?

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

The type of Ram on the graphics card is not dictated by your PC, so you can quite happily fit a card with DDR2, DDR3 or DDR5.  The important factors to consider are the power requirements of the graphics card (that is, if you choose a card that requires a 400W provide you would need a unit of power supply in your PC that can deliver this) and that the card physically fits inside the tower.

    Best wishes

  • HP dc7800 graphic card problem

Hi, I just bought asus eah6450 graphics card for my hp dc780 sff. My specs are Intel core duo 2.33 processor, 4 GB ram, 3.5 avaible. At present I have intel q35 express chipset, which suck at the game. So I decieded to change. I read formus and in the end, I bought this graphics card. A few days ago, I tried ir mounting, but I failed. I first uninstalled the chipset from intel, and then my screen went black and said d - sub of 63.9 off 60 hz range. I could ' t even run safe mode. I removed the video card and fixed it somehow. Please tell me step by step how to install it. Because I don't want to lose my $ 60. And also, we did come with support metal low profile. Last question. How to enter the bios to activate the integrated audio system?

    Hope you will help me

    Arthur

    Hi, Arthur:

You must first uninstall the Intel graphics driver by going into Device Manager, click to expand the category of display cards, right-click on the Intel graphics card, and select uninstall.  Also check the box to uninstall the driver, as appropriate.

Do not restart when you are prompted. Instead, stop, disconnect the PC and install your HD 6450.

Start the PC and install the drivers when you enter Windows.

To reactivate the integrated audio system, restart the PC and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, press the F10 key to enter the BIOS. In the Advanced menu, find the section of devices on board.  You will find the onboard audio setting.

It will be set to Disabled.  Change the setting to "Enabled".  Register here by pressing the F10 key and save the settings and exit the BIOS.

On reboot, everything should be good.

  • No sound on HP DC7800 since equipped AMD Radeon HD6450 graphics card.

    Hello

I just bought HP DC7800 PC with no operating system. I installed Windows XP SP3 with all updates to the OS and an AMD Radeon HD6450 video card. When the OS is on there is no sound. BIOS (v1.32) has Intel HD audio that is enabled. I tried to change settings in the Bios under devices PCI IRQ 5, 10 and 11 - nothing has changed. I installed Microsoft UAA and reinstalled the Realtek audio driver, but still have no audio. Any ideas?

    You are the very welcome.

    I have a dc7800 CMT

I installed the Radion HD 6570 and lost my whole integrated audio system as you did.

I know where you are in the BIOS, and this isn't in the right place.

Is there a device Options menu, under the Advanced menu.

This is where you find the setting.

See page 10 on the link below. There is no audio menu embedded in the manual because it does not appear when you add an audio or video HDMI card.

Is it possible that the BIOS cannot be updated because the software does not support windows 7 64 bit ULTIMATE?

Thank you in advance. I have a new graphics card today (Radeon HD 6570 - who has been recommended by Mr. Paul Tikkanen, thank you), and I guess I should have my current BIOS a bit, no?

    Hello:

There should be no need to update the BIOS, if everything is working properly.

If you want to update the BIOS, you must use the built in Flash ROM of system menu in the BIOS.

It is the safest and easiest way to Flash the BIOS.

All you need is a USB stick formatted with the FAT 32 file system.

Download the latest BIOS update, then run it.

You should get a page of instructions.  On this page, you want the option F10 system flash rom and you should see a summary of BACK flash folder view.

Copy all the files in this folder on your USB.

Plug the drive into the usb port, restart the PC and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, press the F10 key to access the BIOS.

There will be a menu to System Flash ROM

What to choose and it should see the BIOS update files on the usb flash drive.  Then follow the instructions on the screen to proceed to the update of the BIOS.

  • HP Compaq dc 7800p CMT: install graphics card GeForce G100 on HP computer

    Gentlemen!

I have an unusual question on installing a GeForce G100 graphics card on my HP Compaq dc7800p CMT. I know it's technically a work computer, but I think that the question applies to any HP computer.

I got the video card for almost anything and it seems from my investigation that it will work on this computer. The problem is that there apparently is not a standard Nvidia GeForce configuration, but were made for Acer desktop computers. The card has VGA, DVI and HDMI ports. There are standard Nvidia configurations that include the VGA and DVI ports, but not the HDMI - at least that I've seen.

For the most part, my question is which driver I should try to use it with her. If I download driver Nvidia directly, generic for this card, what happens with the HDMI port? It must, of course, a special driver that Acer with this card allows users who must support the HDMI port, but what will happen if I installed Acer driver for this card on a HP computer? I could live without the HDMI port, but I would be rather functional.

It is very difficult to get a useful answer forums GeForce on legacy hardware, so much worse if it's an outside-the-box situation like this. Maybe nobody can offer anything other than a guess, but I'll take what I can get. I tell myself that an assumption of a tech-saavy person more than me is better than my own guess!

Complete information on the map in question follow: GeForce G100 512 MB DDR2 HDMI/D-V FN: 288-50N44-A01AC

    Thank you for interest!

    Grant

    Hi, grant:

Normally, the Nvidia driver install everything, including audio/video HDMI.

On the dc7800, install this card will disable the integrated audio system as well as the video integrated, so after installing the card and the drivers, reboot the PC, go into the BIOS, select the Advanced menu and then select the menu options of the device.

There will be an embedded audio setting and it will be on people with disabilities.  Set to enabled, save it and then again when you exit the BIOS.

Reboot, then you should have the on-board audio back.

Before installing your video card, go to Device Manager, click to expand the category of display cards, right-click on the Intel graphics card, select uninstall, check the box uninstall driver too when it exists.  I forgot if it is or is not under Vista.  Windows 7 has this additional option.

Instead of restart as you are prompted, stop and unplug the PC and install your video card.

  • Noise maps after installation NIVIDA GeForce graphics and sound on HP compac 7700 computer

    Hello:

    You need a sound card.

I assume that you have installed a video card with HDMI output (as most of them come with HDMI today).

After that, the PC turns off both the onboard audio and video on board because he thinks that you have installed a video card and a sound card because of the HDMI audio chip on the video card.

To activate the sound edge even once, you start in the BIOS, you go into the menu of the device on board and you will find an audio setting embedded (which did not exist before).

You will also see that the setting is disabled. You change the setting to enabled, save it by pressing the F10 key at this time here and again when you exit the BIOS (save settings and exit).

Restarts, the integrated audio system is restored, and you will have audio HDMI if you plug an HDMI cable to the HDMI port to a TV output.

This happens on the dc7800 model too but, curiously, he did not on my dc7600.

  • HP Compaq DC7800 SFF - no sound from the HP FX380 Video Card connector

The above machine was working perfectly until I installed a HP FX380 graphics card.

I wanted to improve graphics performance as it was slow when you use Adobe Photoshop and did not support OpenGL. The resolution of my screen (1920 x 1200) also seems to challenge the on-board graphics chip.

I bought a HP NVIDIA Quadro FX380 thought (512 MB) graphics card that using a card in a HP computer HP has been a guarantee of success, but it was not to be!

The FX380 mounting was easy, but there is only one in the DC 7800 PCI-Express slot, so I had to remove the original graphic adapter (a double buffer x 16 Silicon Image AD02-N card). As far as I see it, there is no audio on this map.

When I rebooted the new graphics card was correctly recognized, and I was able to install the video drivers with no problems. Graphics performance has also been greatly improved, while the memory system is out, and I activated the OpenGL support in Photoshop. So far so good!

However, I got an error message saying the SounMax (audio drivers) should be reinstalled, and there is no sound other than the default system beep.

I tried to reinstall the software SoundMax from various sources, including the recovery partition, but I always get the message "that the audio driver files do support not your hardware.

The search in Windows XP Device Manager and selecting sound, video and game controllers, audio only I see are several pilots 'NVIDIA High Definition Audio. There is no yellow asterisk.

I spent several hours online agent HP cat, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. I even have the officer to take control of the machine for a while, but still have no sound! I also updated the BIOS OF THE v 1.28 system.

The obvious answer seems to be that I do not have the correct sound card drivers, but nobody knows what they should be. I don't even know if I have a sound card, not more, or if the NVIDIA card has taken up somehow the system sound card?

Anyone know if there is a problem using the HP FX380 map in the DC 7800 SFF, or am I missing something somewhere?

Would it not possible/useful to adapt to a sound card in the PCI vacnt slot? If so, any reccomendations?

    Any advice welcome.

    NN

    Hello:

I can say that your new video card has an HDMI output port because of the new nVidia HD audio, which now takes the place of your integrated audio system. This is why you have no sound (unless you hold on to a TV or something).

In any case, the solution is simple (I hope).  As you know the dc7800 is a professional PC intended for use as a home theater and at the time of its manufacture, that there is no video input with HDMI output are supported in these offices of class business.

I hope that when you installed this new HDMI video card, a new audio BIOS setting appeared in your system configuration in the Advanced menu.

So please go and see if there is an audio setting boarded, that you can change auto to "Enabled". In the affirmative. Press the F10 key there and at the exit of the BIOS, save settings and exit.

That should allow both audio devices to operate independently.  You've got audio when HDMI cable is not plugged into a TV and you have HDMI audio when HDMI cable is connected to a TV.

Please let me know if this is the case.

One of these can receive free updates on the PC, IE PSUS?

There 4gig of RAM onboard and at present a 7600gs Nvidia who struggles with FSX and can't not watch run them more than I I'd like to run two monitors.

    Thanks for any answers

    Concerning

    Stewart

Thanks for the graphics card. It seems that they should work, but I still think there may be a problem with the amouint of the power supplied to the card in the slot of the ISDR - x 16.

It would still be useful to measure the power supply to see if an upgrade PSU will fit. An upgrade to a 450W Corsair or OCZ PSU will be not much ofexpense. When you consider what you have in the PC at this time is minimal, that would make it useful. In any case, these are my thoughts on this subject.   , Of course, it's your choice.
