• Vista on Satellite L300D-10 a - Graphics card reset after renstallation

  This is my story.
  A few weeks ago my computer went down, so I decided to reinstall Vista (Home Premium). After I did, I noticed that many things had changed. For example, my screensaver no longer works, and some programs said that they needed to support 3D wih video card. I knew I had a video card with 3d support, as these programs worked well before the renstallation.

  Then I looked around on the web, and I found more messages from people having the same problem, so I looked if I had an installation disc to the last video player for my graphics card, but I have no one. So, now, I'm asking if anyone knows where I can get the latest version, so I can continue to use these programs.

  Please don't get me wrong, but the whole story is somewhat strange.
  Fact is that every Toshiba laptop comes with factory State. Your computer laptop too and after the first start you got by default settings of Toshiba. What you did later, no one knows. Maybe you have installed some additional software and the third party. Who knows?

  Now after the clean operating system installation you have these settings to factory again and absolutely identical State after purchase and first start. This along with the screen saver is strange, but it should work (Windows screensaver).

• 6008 USB running random resets

  Hi all

  We use the USB-6008 to control both engines and acquire data from a number of motion sensors. We are the control with LabVIEW 2010 on Windows 7 on a laptop. Usually, it works fine, but sometimes without reason, that we can see the resets USB-6008, causing a REAL output on all channels, causing the engines whir round and round up to the stop.

  It happened one time three times in one day and then didn't happen last week. It happened once when the sensors were activated and sometimes not.

  Someone has any idea how to prevent this, or if not how can I check this software and stop it if it happens?

  6008 are fine for a control, as long as the appropriate security measures are implemented.

  Yes, they can reset from time to time... or if windows feels like it... or, if windows crashes, or apply an update, and restart the machine... all kinds of reasons.

  And Yes, all the digital outputs get pulled high when this reset occurs.  Analog output goes to 1V, you can use a comparator and a few logic gates to drive outputs digital to a "safe" State for your application, then turn them digital outputs by driving the analog output to 5V.

  A more elegant solution, as crossrulz says, use a more compatible device like cRIO or PXI controller.  Obviously, this adds considerable cost to a system.

  Power savings options are usually the culprit.  Only turn on each device and root hubs.

  

  You drive the 6008 via a USB hub, or directly to the output of the PC?  Is the PC restart or throw errors (see the system event logs)?

  You can set the range using the element named axis:

  xAxis.Range = new Range(0.0, 10.0)

  Or by casting the first element of the Axes collection, if it is without name:

  I think I found the cause for the accident. I had too many applications open. 8-10 and I think the phone just can't handle more. It did not crash because I force close applications after using it.

  I have a problem with my Satellite A200 (PSAF6A) randomly resetting itself. It does not matter what job I do, or how long I let the laptop, it will be just black screen on me and reboot. Sometimes he'll do Mid-when the form starts, other times I can use it for a while before he'll do. It seems to be a problem which intensified during some time, occurring initially quite rarely, which is now so frequently that it makes the phone unusable.

  This issue seems to happen mostly when running off the AC power. When you use the battery I have minimal problems, until the battery runs out.   I can say that the problem is not caused by overheating or drivers/software/OS. The laptop has been maintained to be free of all dust blocking the radiator as well as for a new application of thermal grease for NB and CPU chips. Everything is running at the level of the standard factory.
  I tried Linux, XP, Vista, Win7 and can tell it seems to be a problem specific to an operating system or driver (he got the problem when no OS has been loaded yet).

  If anyone has had similar problems or knows what could be my problem, your help would be greatly appreciated.

  Did you try it with the factory settings? I mean the version preinstalled Windows that you can restore it with the Toshiba recovery disc. This disc contains all of the drivers and tools and with these settings, everything should work fine.

  Hard to believe that the battery still holds its charge, but the 1st and 2nd generation iPods have physically HUGE batteries compared to the models later, and they are the lithium - polymer (compared to the lithium-ion battery), then maybe these factors makes a difference.  More your "daily use", which is better for a battery, compared to is not used for long periods.

  First, check your power options and assign a Performance profile on all computers.  Locate the properties of the network adapter in network and sharing Center, make a right click to open properties, switch to the last tab (power management) and make sure the box to allow the computer to turn off this device save energy is disabled.

  Is your main computer, a server? or just a normal computer?
  What OS it runs?
  Wireless network can be unreliable, sometimes, more Home Premium might not be the right OS for business use.  However, it sounds like your power options is enough to set up to keep a stable connection.  Additionally, make sure that printer sharing, file sharing is enabled and the file sharing Password Protection is disabled (ONLY if not necessary) in network and sharing Center.

  WLan problems could appear for different reasons. I don t think that it is a WLan driver problem. I think that you should just check the WiFi configuration.
  For example, you should check whether changing the WiFi 1-11 channel would improve performance. Also change the settings for encryption (WPA/WP2-AES, TKIP) is worth trying.
  Turn off all the settings for the WLan to save energy and check if there is a difference if you turn off the WLan mouse.

  Also the issue of USB can be related to energy saving settings.
  In the Device Manager-> USB Controllers-> properties-> tab power management option that allows the system to power off the device to save power.

  It would also be nice to use the maximums for the increment and the minimum values for the count, however, the minimum value is always zero.  Can it be worked the minimum value to match the values after a reset.  So ideally I would not be reset to zero, but to say the current values of the iteration immediately after reset.   I think so?  Does make sense?

  I am Engineer applications that will work on your request for your vi resetting, if I understand your request, you take readings of your device, the analysis of your data, and then write in an actions file, and then you are looking to reset the values on your vi. May I ask when in your exercise, you would like to reset occur? Or you are looking for the reset to occur because of a user action?

  From what I see you have the good idea to use property nodes, so I would look further into these with you and have found some examples using these methods that should help you with the development and labor as a tool of good reference.
