Reset parameters 'sleep' Vista/Gateway nv52

My company recently purchased 4 new gateway nv52 with edition vista Home premium.  We have a few tech questions.  1. computers will, randomly, reset the settings for the mode "Eve" of 'never sleep' for 30 minutes by default. It happens about twice a week.
2. we are on a private wireless network to which when we save files stored on a computer file and then ordi1, 2, 3, 4 and then principal of backup.  Sometimes computer 3 will go into offline mode and no one can see the computer in the network map.  This will cause the file not to save on this computer or computers after that and cause the file backup computer to freeze.  We turn off this computer and the problem is solved.

Hi jswanger,

Please use the forum for Support of Vista,

First, check your power options and assign a Performance profile on all computers.  Locate the properties of the network adapter in network and sharing Center, make a right click to open properties, switch to the last tab (power management) and make sure the box to allow the computer to turn off this device save energy is disabled.

Is your main computer, a server? or just a normal computer?
What OS it runs?
Wireless network can be unreliable, sometimes, more Home Premium might not be the right OS for business use.  However, it sounds like your power options is enough to set up to keep a stable connection.  Additionally, make sure that printer sharing, file sharing is enabled and the file sharing Password Protection is disabled (ONLY if not necessary) in network and sharing Center.

  • Is it useful to reset my Windows Vista Home Premium?

He is three years old (he got the summer three years ago) and it is moderately-heavily used, as in, it is used every day, and there are many programs and files downloaded and installed I do not use. Through my computer and delete all of these files would take much more for a long time that simply reset and its replacement by backups.

My computer is idle or, at least I think, however, I was maybe just more patient three years ago.
In addition, please don't suggest you get a new computer, or to download a program to uninstall other programs for me, because my computer spastic and these programs tend to crash.
Ah, Yes, that's another question. Some programs that I want to use more (Skype, Apple Software Update, RegClean, etc.) crash as soon as I opened the, and there seems not to be an error with the program, because I posted on other forums vain.
So, is it useful to reset my computer? I can do that easily, it will take little effort. Basically, I want to say it's worth it, is, she will fix these issues, such as the opening of the program slowly and crashes random application? Thanks in advance.

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

  • Question sleep Vista Ultimate

    Hi all

I have a question regarding vista and my hardware not wake me up after you put the computer in standby mode. My bios is set for s3 and reminder VGA bios is enabled. I get a black screen and no function keyboard or mouse suite. Some of the forums I have watch say it is perhaps a matter of Nvidia, others say that its an OS problem. Help, please!

    Hello Parker_Jones,

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum.

There is a possibility that this behavior might be caused by a program not allowing the computer to wake up properly. Take a look at the article below and see if you can troubleshoot using the information contained in the article.

A computer Windows Vista does not wake from sleep when a PassThru driver is installed

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/932633

You can also use the mode without failure as a troubleshooting tool to determine the program that could be the cause of the issue. I've included the first part of the article below so that you will know how enter Mode without fail if you didn't know already. Please see the link to read the full article and complete troubleshooting.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Step 1: Perform a clean boot

Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.

    a. log in the computer using an account with administrator rights.

    b. click on start to reduce this includes this image

type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration Utility.Collapse this includes this image

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.

    c. under the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the Load Startup items check box. (The box use the Boot file is not available.)

    d. on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft services check box and then click on disable all.

Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    e. click OK, and then click restart.

Let us know if this can help, or if you find additional information.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

The strange thing is, if I close the lid and sleep it is at that moment, then open it again, it wakes up with the screen, but at a resolution of 1024 x 768 and can not be reset to res (1280 x 800) native only other resolutions are available, brightness cannot be adjusted, cannot add a custom in Nvidia Control Panel tried everything. Device Manager no longer mentions a monitor at all. Tried new graphics drivers, still no good. The fact that I can't see even the bios after when it starts (I tried a bright light on the screen, nothing visible) suggests, it must be material, but then why the display works after I have close the lid and open it again?

  • Reset password in Vista running VMFusion

How can I connect to Windows Vista on a Mac under VMWare Fusion when you don't know the password?  Vista has been installed using VMWare Fusion in 9/08.  No password is needed to connect to Windows Vista.  Now in 11/08, after not having used Vista in a few weeks (2 months after installation), it asks me a password that I did not know that I have created.  I tried "*" (without the quotation marks), the VMWare Fusion Easy Install password and several other obvious passwords without success.  Vista requires you to reset your password every 2 months?

Vista of the message "the user name or password is incorrect".  Trying to reset the password, the password reset Wizard don't ask for a floppy drive when there is no floppy drive on the Mac.

Is there a way to reset the password without having to re - install Vista?

You don't have to install anything or create a virtual machine in order to use the tool's password!

All you need to do is fix the image cd080802.iso to CD/DVD drive of the Vista virtual machine via its settings and start the Virtual Machine Vista from the CD/DVD.

Consult the help file to see how to assign an ISO Image on CD/DVD the correct VMware Virtual Machine, not one you just created in order to use this tool, which is not necessary and probably why you can even see the virtual hard disk that is correct because as I have already said, it seems that you do not work with the basics correctly the machine virtual on the previous attachment of files and image.

To start the Virtual Machine after you have attached to the correct virtual machine, you may have some difficulties and you can thank VMware for this because they do not it is easy to start an Image of CD/DVD/ISO after a Virtual Machine is created because the Virtual Machine boots so fast, it is difficult to make appear the Start Menu and you may manually change the .vmx file of the The target VM to either add a delay to change the boot order in the BIOS.

Take a look at my answer in the following thread for additional information that can hel to allow the start of the Image of CD/DVD/ISO. You can ignore the first paragraph about VMware SCSI drivers because the password reset tool works as is, so you can start reading at "If the Virtual Machine is not boot from the CD/DVD or ISO Image then select the CD-ROM in the Boot Menu." Another interesting element is that I allocated 80 GB of space for VMWare Fusion program.  It is NOT partitioned in Boot Camp.

Please review the message private as well as the other answers, that I made in this thread.

  • WiFi requires reset after sleep

As soon as my macbook goes to sleep and I wake up, the icon indicates that it is connected to my wifi network, but there is no internet connection until I turn off wifi and then turn it on again - if I do that, it connects perfectly. I've updated to the version the most recent of El Capitan and restarted my computer several times.

Ditto.  I wish that someone would respond to our question/problem.  I got a MBP this past Christmas and love it, but find this very annoying problem.  My iPad Air, iPhone 5 and Windows 10 laptop Lenovo have no problem to stay connected to the internet on the same wifi network, which makes me want to point the blame on my MBP, not my WiFI router or your internet provider.

  • Im having trouble with something called main control center program 3 on my windows vista gateway labtop!

well, I bought my labtop in jan 2009 since then until now, it works just great! I recentlly downloaded a program that I bought at my school called ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 4 now, my computer had problems such as programs crashing, not being able to access the internet, and there's a screen that keeps poping up saying windows microsoft control program main centre 3 a work stoppage, does that mean? but I called microsoft tec, support the referd me towards another 1800 number they could not solve my problem yet once refferd to another number which has been a gateway, support center tec I still once they couldn't stop the last question but not less I had another number that was gateway main call center they stated "in order for me to get help I would have to pay. a price of $59.00 for 30 min and 199.00 for a lifetime warranty when all I need is to know how to get this frekin controll Centre 3 thing of my screen! She said it was a virous but a barley used my computer in addition to me lookin upward central control 3 and it does not say that it is a virous.

ControlCenter3 might be associated with a Brother printer.

The simplest solution would be to run the system restore and go back to a time before you download ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 4.  Copy the file downloaded to external media (flash drive, hard drive, CD, DVD) to save it before you restore the system.
