• Need to backup all programs and files without the System Image

  Recently, I myself in a dilemma. I installed 4 additional disks with the intention of creating a RAID volume supported by the BIOS. To do this, I need to change the BIOS setting of the controller which includes all the volumes, including my boot drive (that I don't intend to RAID). The problem I have is that when I pass the UEFI to RAID controller, Windows Recovery will not use the System Image I did. He said that the volume was created under a different arrangement (Bios vs. EFI).

  What are my options? Is there a different backup setting, which allows to keep all my installed software? I am not concerned with the data that I can copy it to an external volume, but it would take several days to get all of my software reinstalled. I would like to avoid this. I guess I'll have to reinstall Windows Pro 8.1 and then use a backup program to restore everything. If this is the case, then I need to know which backup program will work. If there is a better way, I would like to know. I see my options in the form, get another backup program, get a map of controller for the boot drive or the RAID volume or just reinstall.

I HAVe computers 2 (laptop and desktop) with installed lightroom.  When I import files on the laptop that display images is ok; When I import the desktop each file has 3 or 4 horizontal lines at the top half of the image.  What am I doing wrong? .

  It seems that a different card reader has been around.  I deleted all the photos with the lines and imported using a reader of different cards with no problems.  If it's funny that the only appeared lines on files that have been taken with the Nikon w lens / adapter and not the kit lens.  O well something like that be done to turn the gear.   Thanks for the answer for everyone.

  Well, I tried pretty much everything regarding the code and searches on Google, but can't figure out how to get this script GOT to work. I hope you all can help.

  For general information: I create e-learning modules using the model of existing AS/Flash/XML to the client. There is another separate file that is loading XML content and direct the 'flow' or the progression of the module. Basically, it is divided into three parts:

  1. Chapter = a selection made from a main menu (< chapter > in the XML file) and is an important part. It consists of one to several "pages".

  2 page = sections in the chapters that users can progress up to the via the navigation buttons; each page represents a Flash/SWF file separated with several clips (with audio clips played by another management of XML FILE). Each page also has a certain ACE (ONE) file associated with a create interactivity, an activity or positioning text.

  3 clip = parts based on the audio of each page; represented in each 'page' FLA/SWF by keyframes.

  These modules are produced for both languages - so the use of ACEs / XML to pull in the text of two different files. We also need to shoot images help from XML files. • Unexpected keywords added to the imported images

  I sought an answer to this and had no success.  I've noticed lately that when I import any image in Lightroom, there are 2 key words that are always added to the image.  I do not use a preset of import.  The keyword "dialog box" in the section "Apply during import" of the import page can be empty (i.e. no key words must be assigned to the attached, or other keywords, I have added to this area, but the same 2 keywords keep added to each import.)  What Miss me?  Thanks in advance!

  Looks like you typed in these keywords at a time in a metadata preset in the menu of your import. Go to the import. Click on the arrows to the right of "Metadata" flippy and select 'change '. Scroll to the bottom of the metadata entry boxes and check if the keywords are typed in the box below. If so, remove them. If the words are there that fixes the problem and you can join the many people who have experienced this. FYI, for some reason, the preset metadata keywords will not appear in the keyword box import, only in the library module after importing. Hope this fixes the problem. David

• the imported images are there but does not appear

  I'm new to Lightroom, but not to the digital imaging.  I am deciding whether or not to use Lightroom as archiving software.  I have imported photos with various types of files in Lightroom, copy them into the default location and convert NEF photos in .dng files.  Everything seems as it should in what concerns the lists on the left, and the files are where they are supposed to be in the default locations and are operable and viewable in photoshop.

  The problem is that everything that is displayed in the environment Viewer are rectangles greyed.  No images.  Can I export an image in a different file type to an external location and display it correctly.  So all the images are there and LR know where they are (since he created and put them there).  The film in low also rectangles is just gray.

  I have no idea what prevents images from appearing and I hope someone here can help.  I am running XP SP3 and Lightroom 2.5 632038 Raw 5.6.  I import files NAVE of Nikon and a D300 camera Coolpix 4000 Scanner.  Photoshop reads all of these pictures raw with their plug-ins.  Moreover, I also imported jpg and tiff files and they do not appear in the screen either.

  Believe it or not, your monitor profile is corrupt. A corrupted profile can sometimes manifest only in LR and not in other programs managed by color as Photoshop.

  Either use a hardware standard, which is the best thing (look up on the web Spyder), or modify your monitor profile by default in sRGBxxxx, with the rest of your profiles. On Windows XP, you can do this through control of management/display/settings/advanced/color of the Panel. Make the second of these two things is really just a stopgap. If you don't calibrate it with a hardware device, you will always have incorrect colors.

  Anyway, to convince yourself that the profile is in fault, change it in the color management.

• Cataloge does not display the imported image

  Computer store put in new hard drive and copied photos of old disk hard 'C' for the new drive hard 'C '. Old hard drive is still active on the computer but named 'G' now.   I'm working on placing a word of a manuscript document in InDesign CC. I spent hours and hours to get the text document formatted just right so that I could just place without having to do much else. To my dismay, some of the poems that I place make their appearance with random gray lines interspersed in the text box. More troubling still, when I export to PDF, the lines are flat black. How can I get rid of these? If there is a way to do this effectively without having to modify the original text document in InDesign, it would be ideal. Fixing of the screenshots below.   Those look like paragraph nets (rule below, in this case), and you have obviously some empty paragraphs used to add space instead of use the space before or after the space to spread the paragraphs apart.
