  Really depends on what you have for unique identifiers... If you want just a report of all users with the same name and first name:

  We have our main database running in 10 g (Solaris OS) & planning to move these to RAC 11 g.
  
  One of our old oracle DB (8.0.5) / solaris, which is not used until recently have need upgrade to 10g Rel2.
  
  I know that supported direct 8.0.6/8.1.7/9i update-> 10 g
  
  Current DB: 8.0.5 (character set: AR8ISO8859P6)
  Target DB : 10 g Rel 2 (character set: AR8MSWIN1256)
  
  
  I think to go in the following sense using exp/imp

  Full database scan is necessary.

  Most likely, it is the question. I should have been more precise and should have said that the csscan race must be for the 'full' range, i.e.:

  csscan fromchar = ar8mswin1256 tochar = arm8mswin1256 full = y

In the windows startup disk, my windows HD and OS X HD icons are all grayed out. So, I can't select which one to be my default startup Mode of the disc. Help, please!

• Urgent need to contact Technical Support Toshiba - my new computer laptop is useless

  I just bought the C650. I have never been so unhappyb with; a laptop in my life. I urgent need to Support Toshiba to contact me. Or someone give me their phone number that of not clearly localizable without hours of searching and still holding on a laptop useless, I just bought. Or is their a form I can fill out line which can be transmitted to Toshiba support technicadl. I should be able to communicate with them via e-mail or by filling out a form telling them my problem.

  My problem is the following. THIS laptop that I just bought is completely useless and why. I have never in my life had a poor machine so badly so slowly in my life. Your old desktop of 15 year on DIALUP can work better than this machine I just buy what is on broadband wireless.

  I am not anything it takes forever for it to power upwards or stop. It takes forever for a screern to load... Then, he won't let me multi-task I joined weight forever for a single screen to load and finish before anything else.

  It seems that you have an XMLType column based on a pattern of failure revalidation.

  It's strange, but fortunately, the error has nothing to do with the database character set.

  Just change your NLS session parameters:

  ALTER session set nls_numeric_characters = ".";

  and try again.

  I installed an oracle database to my Win7 laptop.

  Currently, my oracle database has information below:

  My Win7 is an English version. Not just any what installed Chinese charset.

  I can access registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--> SOFTWARE--> ORACLE--> page HOME of NLS_LANG = AMERICAN_AMERICA. WE8MSWIN1252

  I create a table and insert some Chinese to its columns. But I still have "?" to those columns after the query.

  I tried with an internet solution.

  I put my Win7 as environment variables below:

  LANG = zh_CN. GBK
  NLS_LANG = SIMPLIFIED CHINESE_CHINA. ZHS16GBK

  But these solutions are not effective.

  So who can help out me?

  1. what should I do to the Oracle Server?

  2. what happens if I have to do to Win7?

  3. or I still need to do more?

  WE8MSWIN1252 charset does not support the Chinese language so it won't work, you will need to convert DB charset to a character set that supports the Chinese please review:

  It seems that Data Dictionary has some convertible entries. you need to fix this all the objects individually as suggested in metalink Note 258904.1

  Application object has a truncation and entered convertible. For truncation entries, you must increase the size of the column of the completed columns as shown in the .err log file. For convertible entries, you must perform the export/import. Note 1283764.1

  It is strongly advised to use the AL32UTF8 database character set when ever a database is used with our XML capabilities. The database character set in the installed base is WE8MSWIN1252. To use XML DB functionality, I need to change it to AL32UTF8. But, when I try to do that, I get ORA-12712: new character set must be a superset of the old character set. Is there a way to fix this?

  a change of we8mswin1252 to al32utf8 is not directly possible. This is because al32utf is not a binary superset of we8mswin1252.

  There are 2 options:
  -use any export and import
  -Use of the altar in a kind of limited

  Depends on the method, you can choose the characters in the database, is that only ASCII then the other can work, in other cases, one is necessary.

  It is all described in Note 260192.1support, "replacing the NLS_CHARACTERSET AL32UTF8 / UTF8 (Unicode). Get on-site support/metalink.
