Green line on display Satellite A200, a few individual keys do not respond

My Toshiba Satellite A200-24's (PSAE3) shows a green line vertically on the left side of the screen constantly, so that it is powered and some of the keys do not respond when you press.
I use the screen keyboard to type.
Can I get help from anyone of kind friends and solve problems?

Thank you

Hello

These lines on the screen indicate graphics card problem.
Try testing with external monitor? If the same image that you will certainly know the graphics card is defective.

Anyway, these two questions are for me serious enough and best thing you can do is to contact the nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer.

I have problem with special function on Toshiba Satellite A200
Can u tell me what I need to install drivers?

First of all I recommend you to install all the stuff available from Toshiba support and download page.
For this special features you must install the utilities and the various tools of Toshiba.

Please re-check the Toshiba download page and install the utilities and added value package.

  • Satellite A200-10N (PSAE3): Fn key does not work after upgrade to vista any time

After upgrading Vista-Home - Premium--> Vista Ultimate shortcut with the fn keys does not work, for example Fn + F6/7 (brightness).

New value pack installation has not been successful.
Moreover, after upgrading the drive to DVD from Toshiba is default, too.
    Who can help?

I didn't try any update on my A200 but you can try to follow: install Vista using recovery media delivered. When Vista starts for the first time go in Panel and you can find Add/Remove Programs option. Remove all the stuff designed by Toshiba.

When we remove everything, making Vista upgrade. After finishing Vista upgrade install all the stuff of Toshiba designed by order of specific facilities starting with added value package. Check please the download page if all of these tools and utilities are available.

As far as I know all the tools and utilities are designed as universal tools and I can't imagine that there is a difference between the version of Vista ultimate or premium tools.

DVD player is part of the image of the installations only and I can imagine that upgrade installation has changed something, but the upgrade procedure is responsible for this. I don't see any connection to Toshiba.

As I said I don't have a CD to upgrade, but if I find one I'll try to test it on my Vista (Premium) preinstalled A200-1CR.

Bye and I hope that you report your experiences with the Vista upgrade again.

  • Satellite A200-1FL (PSAE6) - FN key does not work on Windows 7

I have just installed Windows 7 on my laptop and I can't do touchpad Fn key works. I tried to install the drivers from the Synaptics touchpad, but it does not work.

    What can I do?

    Hi navarone_1,

This means that the work of FN keys and you can t use the pad touch, right?

Well, in this case I think that the touchpad is disabled with FN + F9 key combination and therefore, you must install the Toshiba tools to activate the FN keys.

You can find all the drivers and tools for your laptop on the Toshiba official European page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

You need Support Flash Cards of value added and utility package. These two tools should be released for Windows 7. For Windows 7 32 bit, you can find package of added value but Flash cards Support utility you must download it from another laptop, e. g. Satellite P500. It should work on your model too.

Last but not less than first installation package of added value and Flash then cards support utility.

Ont. A200-1 g just to reinstall Vista Ultimate version. Drivers installed page value Pack added. With the mouse clicks on respect all works of FlashCards, but when I press Fn + F1 - F12, nothing happens.

When FlashCards started I normally use functions via the function keys. What I can do to solve this problem, looks like there is a bug?

Hmm... It is a very strange problem because there is a link between the sheets and the Fn keys.
If the Flash cards are disabled keys the FN should not usually work.

Have you installed everything as mentioned in the instructions for installation of Toshiba?

    Please it!

The order of installation is very important. Using the right order, sometimes the will of tools and utilities does not work as usual.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L650 - extremely slow at startup, then "not responding" message

I bought my Toshiba Satellite L650/017 laptop about 3 weeks ago and it was working well.

This week, I plugged a cable to work on my laptop and double clicked on the icon of Internet Explorer to see if I had access to him but found it is not the case then disconnected the cable and turned off the laptop computer on the internal internet.

The next day, I found that the laptop could not start after restarting it a couple of times so I ran on safe mode and did a virus check which proved to be negative.

The next day, start seemed a bit faster and I could access some of my Word documents stored on the hard drive.

Today, problems with the start seemed even worse and it took about 10-15 minutes to access the WINDOWS page - mainly get a gray screen with cursor work dark.

When she has finally reached the office page after trying to open any application after a few minutes, a message "not responding".

How can I fix? What is initially to run so slowly?
He doesn't has only few Word documents stored there on the hard disk. I hope someone can help me with this...

    Hey Buddy,

To be honest in these cases where the error just sometimes, it s not clear what part is defective or if it s just a software problem. In addition you didn t post information on your Windows installation, which makes more complicated history.

But if I understand you correctly, you can boot into safe mode without problems, right? Well, that would mean he s a driver or software issue because in safe mode no drivers will be loaded (just the standard Windows drivers).

If you run the pre-installed Windows version, you should try to reinstall Windows from the HARD drive recovery function. You know about it?
If this is not the case, see your user manual. A lot of information, you can find on this nice feature. :)

    Hello
I have the problem, that the keys do not respond occasionally.
    Example:
I hit the keys 'and' but the screen only shows "NA".
The problem is not specific to any application s/w, it happens in a text editor, outlook etc.

Maybe you write too fast and a few buttons, pressure is not strong enough.
You can test the functionality when you type slowly and press each button properly?

  • Satellite Pro L300 some FN keys do not work on XP

I bought a L300-164 on Monday. However, there is no preinstalled opsys. I installed a Win XPSP2 (HUN) on it and downloaded the drivers from www.toshiba-europe.com.

First I have installed chipset and video drivers, then I installed "common Modules". After you finished and restart I tried to install 'orders', but who says "common modules" are not installed.

So I installed 'save energy' and tried to install it once more the 'controls '. Now, it has been installed normally. Finally, I put on "hotkey utility" and "touchpad utility power. So everything seems to be all right on the machine, but a few FN keys do not work: F6 and F7 doesn't control brightness, F2 is not change power mode and F9 switch touchpad power (of course in a hurry with the FN). However, volume knob works, ESC as the work of mute and Fx buttons also work elsewhere.

Y at - it ideas to make these buttons work?

Sat L300-164 seems to belong to the PSLBDE series, and you must download and use the drivers from the Toshiba European designed for the series Sat L300 PSLBDE page.

Is the common Modules is a key driver that is important for the functionality of the FN button.

I would recommend so reinstall the common modules again!

    Welcome them

In addition this laptop supports the Mobility Radeon X 2600 (name of Code M76).
The driver for this card is also downloadable from the site of www.omegadrivers.net!

Please note that all drivers must be installed in the correct order as mentioned in the installation instructions.

    Hi all

At first, I want to apologize if my English is not so well and maybe a little hurt.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-1UM Cristmas 2007 and until now I never had big problems with it, but now, I got a huge.
Yesterday, when I came back from school, I started first, as always my computer to check my emails, etc..
At first, all was normal the normal screen appeared: "Toshiba Leading innovations", after the screen with flashing underscore, but after that line... a progress bar appears with text on this subject: "Windows loading files.
I thought: hm k allow it to load its files...

Right after loading all seemed to be OK, the next screen came: (C) Microsoft Corp. with the green bar moving on it, normal as...
But then after that, it became black... nothing more...
I waited... and waited... and waited, but nothing happened...
Then I restarted, maybe it would work now, but it happened again the same screen loading and so on... and she went back to black...
Then I tried to start it in mode (I pressed F5 on the 2nd loading screen)
I tried all the different options of Save mode, but it still stopeped to drivers\disk.sys... I had like crazy... I tried different options to F5: finally begin the normal version and so forth, but all collapsed at any time... and nothing happened that more...

I had enough I put on my discovery of product and wanted to format it all... In the first screen, I press F12 and I went CD/DVD (product recovery disc), but this * progress bar appears again and the (C) Microsoft Corp Screen and it still got black * wuhuuuo-.-'*.

Better accommodate the of the Germany...

    Hello

Your question is strange because the bar of progress Windows appears and it would mean that the operating system that is installed on the HARD disk can be booted from the HARD disk.
And this means that the HARD drive is still in use.

However, it could be a HARD disk failure.
As resident suggested, you can check the HARD drive using the HARD drive fitness test.
He will check the HARD drive, and will show you the status of the HARD drive.

If everything is OK with your HARD drive, then it must be another malfunction.
You said that you could not start using the Toshiba recovery disc.
Maybe you should try another disk bootable as MS original Windows XP CD.

  • Strange green line appears on the bottom of the frame of sequences (NOT the ONLINE PREVIEW RAM)

    Hello!

I've recently upgraded to AE CS5, after long use of CS3.  I came across a problem that I hope there, someone can help me with.  For one of my elements of film a green line (one pixel high) appears at the bottom of the frame.  The green line appears in the layer panel, so I'm not there with plug-ins display - only it's purest form.  When I open the file in QT on my Mac, the green line at the bottom of the image is not there.  This has not met with the CS3 version, and I'm lost for a solution.  I did some googling and found some users AVID talks about a similar problem and was related to the fields.  So I went to 'Interpret the film' and then removed the fields with 'Lower' first and the green line goes.  The problem with this work is about the film looks so poor.  This is a digital image file, and I wouldn't remove fields because there were not at first.

I have attached a few screenshots of the images in QT and AE CS5 for you all to see the question.

Has anyone encountered this problem?  Is this a known problem CS5?  Is it related to OS x 10.6.5?

Any help, advice or advice is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

There is nothing to fix, and it's not a bug. For MPEG of any sort, all dimensions must be multiples of 2. It is inherent to the work of compression. You can not have a high 219 px film and not have it be cropped or enlarged pixel, with all the negative sides. I assume that the file is in fact already 220px high, the only difference being that CS3 can interpret correctly flag Quicktime display area, considering that this happens not in CS5. Which could be considered to be a "bug", but because Apple does not provide a 64-bit Quicktime and Adobe had to reverse engineer things, who do you blame? Yet once, it is not really something wrong here. In fact, the same file read on another computer or in a setting different software player can expose the same question, even when working in CS3. So the only real 'fix' is to properly encode the file 218px or 220px high. And the fields do not belong in desktop images. Apart from EI the irregular line will also be visible no matter how AE only displays a field both internally. You will need to handle this correctly, even though you may not want to.

  • Satellite A200 - 1 GB: my modem does not work - remote computer is not responding

My A200 - 1 GB modem does not work correctly. It tries to connect, but at last he said computer remote does not respond. As I noticed it has a modem 56kpbs of "I agree."
It is shown as Toshiba Software Modem.

I tried so many times it does not work properly.
I tried changing the COM ports assigned to several other ports like COM1, COM10 COM, COM 4 ext... same thing happens.

When I diagnose the modem via the properties of the modem without issues considered.
Even when I'm component via the modem to a telephone line (I mean as a call) it works fine.
I mean that he can call on a mobile phone or phone of the Earth.

A few times he suddnely connects but connected sppedis 24kpbs.

But the same phone line works correctly with my modem office both as the same as another modem from the laptop.

It seems that there is a fault on my modem 56 k.
I tried even uninstall and reinstall, but the issue still exists.

Can someone help me in this case?

    Hello

I don t think that the modem would be malfunctions.
Fact is that if you use the wrong modem configuration, the line may be busy and the modem would not answer.

I recommend you configure the modem again.
In programs-> Toshiba-> Networking, you would find the Modem region Select utility that must be configured for the same country.
Delete the existing profile and create a new!

    Best regards and good luck

  • Satellite A200-12 x starts but does not work

    Hello

I had a satellite A200-12 x for almost a year with no problems at all until now.

Since a few days ago, the computer starts up but when I get the password for my user it stops near work. The hard drive light stays on no - intermittently and made a little sound of cracking at regular intervals. It takes the computer more than 10 minutes to let the blue startup screen, then that more than a half hour to show my desktop. The hard drive light will occasionally be blink, which is when the computer appears to contribute normally, but only for a second or so. When I gert on the desktop, the light remains the same way and I can't work with it at all.

It works ok in safe mode. I tried to restore the system, but it does nothing.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks in advance

What you mean to restore the system? Did you install OS using DVD recovery delivered or just roll back the OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool?

  • Satellite A200-AH5 CD/DVD drive does not burn any CD

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite (A200 AH3) under Windows Vista Home Premium.
    For what it's worth, there's a T2085 @ 1.73 GHz processor. It is a 32-bit operating system.
In the Device Manager when I click on the CD/DVD-Rom drives, I get CD/DVGW TSSTcorp TS-L632D ATA Device.
By clicking on this that I find that the driver is working correctly and up-to-date. I was not able to burn a CD on this system...

I have not tried to burn a DVD.
I ran through all the steps to burn a CD, however, but even if he goes through the process to show the progress that each song to a playlist is burned to disc, when the disc is supposed to be finalized... nothing on the disc when I try to read, and with the exception of iTunes or another program open when I place the CD in the drive to be played absolutely nothing happens.
I tried to burn music on a CD on the desktop of my sister, and it burned fine.

Then... It is not a problem with the discs.
When I took the disc to my sister had burned and placed in the disk drive on my laptop, it displays the tracks that had been burned and he played the music very well. This really threw me a loop for.
The laptop is only a year old and I can not burn anything.

Unfortunately, the warranty has expired. I am desperate to get this problem fixed. I don't know if he's going to burn a DVD, but I ruined 2 boxes of CD - R discs already. After disk supposedly burned music... even if no music has been burned... the disc is ruined and must be discarded.

I'm not terribly knowledgeable about aspects of warming of the computers, so I hope you can tell me in general terminology if you answer to my problem. I really hope someone out there can advise me as to what is happening or what I should do to fix the problem.

Thanks for any help in advance!

    Thank you.

    Hello

In your case, I recommend trying the different CD s from different manufacturers.
You should know that not all CD or DVD would be fully compatible with your internal CD/DVD drive.
In many cases no compatible CD or DVD would lead to exactly the same problems that you described in your post so trying different media!

In addition, I recommend checking the Toshiba driver for a CD/DVD drive update page s firmware.
As I m not wrong not the Satellite A200-AH3 belongs to the Canadian series and you should check the Canadian page for a new firmware. Maybe a new firmware is available

Last but not least, you can switch to other burning software I m using Nero I think it s the best applications for such purposes
