  You don't need a script for this, you can use a Grep search/replace.

  Search: (.) $

  and set your paragraph style in the format of find

  Change: $1XYZ

  where XYZ is the text you want to insert.

  As I (put) understand, it becomes clear and sweet, you can (lock a copy of the original in place letter so that you can compare), smart guides are your friends:

  (1) for each of the segments of the path side closest to the end corner Anchor Points, click with the direct Selection tool to see the handles, then with the line Segment tool ClickDrag of the handle of the mooring Point (Smart Guides say Manage and anchor when you are away from the alignment), and then give the new line, a thin related (so you can see) and no fill;

  (2) deselect, then to the side you want to start, with the ClickDrag of (normal) selection tool the new line 1) from the end of the handle (anchor Point) to align on the anchor corner of the letter;

  (3) to lock the two new lines;

  (4) to the side you want to start, with the pen tool ClickDrag from the Point of departure angle of the letter to the opposite end of the anchor of the new line anchor (Smart Guides say anchor when you are away from the alignment), and then draw the swoosh, as you would normally, then finally the anchoring of end corner of the letter ClickDrag the opposite end anchor of the new line;

  (5) with the (normal) selection tool, select the swoosh and the letter and Pathfinder > unite;

  (6) unlock and remove (or hide) the new lines of 1).

  That should give you accurate and smooth transitions at the end of the letter. You can remove whataver is not necessary when it is convenient.

  I'm actually build an expression grep to run in an InDesign document to find all the '. '. (full stop) without any whitespace that follows, except those standing at the end of a paragraph. My approach:

  \. (?! \s) (?! $)

  For some reason any '$' does not work when it is used as a negative lookahead. In the following example, only the first '. ' is found.

  test. test.test.test.

  Not used as anticipation as here...

  \. (?! \s) [^$]

  
  

  It works very well. But unfortunately I am I need the search for only the "." is divided as a result.

• GREP: How to target an appearance at the end of the paragraph?

  GREP newbie here. Trying to write a GREP expression that target a photo at the end of a caption of the photo credit and apply a character style.

  Text example:

  This is the caption of a picture and there is a legend over here (to the left). This is the caption of a picture and there is a legend here. (AP Photo/John Smith)

  The GREP expression should target the type of credit inside - and especially - the bracket. The trick: the term should target only a single occurrence at the end of the paragraph.

  Suggestions? That's what I have, what does not work. The expression applies the style to each occurrence of the type in parenthasis:

  \s\(.+\)$

  Any help appreciated.

  Basically, it prevents several parenthesis pick them up while seartching for a match.

  Ventilation GREP:

  \([^\)]+\)$

  [^    Exclusion: any character not in this group
      \)    Literal closing parenthesis

• How to extend (i.e. add more points at the end of) a Bézier path?

  What is the best way to make a trace of Bézier longer by adding more points at the end? I can do it by moving the end point to the location where I the new endpoint using the direct Selection tool, and then using the Add Point to replace the old end point and then add the new points I want between the former end point and the new endpoint. But it's very tedious surely there must be a better way. I just want to keep adding points as I did when I was creating the path in the first place.

  I use CS2, so I need a technique that works with this version.

  I think that's what you're looking for.

  With you deselected Bézier open, select the pen tool. With the selected pen tool, it will have an 'x' next to it. Pass the tool back on the endpoint and it will turn to a ' / '. Click on the endpoint and start earning new line segments.

  Start with the first step: create a fla, add a flvplayback component and set its source to point to your flv/f4v.  Once you have your video game, you can check the flvplayback class in the help files and see how to apply a complete event to trigger your form to appear.  and finally, you can check some tutorials on how to manage data in flash form.

  When I look at the screen shot you it seems to me that you have left the full stop outside the scope of change:

  you have $1 and it should be $ 1. (with point after the $1). It is easy to misinterpret reading the forum.

  These ads appear to be associated with Web sites that you are using, or they appear anytime, anywhere, anytime, seemingly without rhyme or reason?

  A possible cause of unwanted ads is a bad add-on. Here's my method to track down and clean up bad Add - ons and other ad injectors. Sorry for the length - it is not as bad as it sounds:

  (1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Out as much garbage as possible here.

  (2) open Firefox page modules using either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions.

  Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

  I want a quick way to remove unwanted programs from my computer (XP Pro);
