Group of work and Service of master browser

What is the impact of having several Windows XP system with MaintainServerList = Yes: apart from network traffic?

Is it possible to have several MasterBrowser in one group of work (using the MasterBrowser = Yes in the registry)?

The only way I know to prevent a particular computer to become the master browser is MaintainServerList value No . Boulder computer Maven

  • Willnot work downloaded service pack 3 and printer

I have not dated the service pack 3 update, and now my printer is not working.  It indicates that the print spooler service is not running.  It was working fine until I have up dated service pack 3 undate.  What can I do to get my printer to work again.

    Thank you

    Michael

    Start the print spooler service.

For Win XP - Click Start, select run, and type Services.msc

Look for print spooler - make sure it is running and automatic.

    Reference only-

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-printer-problems

A print spooler is software that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print. If you were expecting an abnormally long time to print a document, or if you see an error message about the print spooler, Spooler subsystem or spooler resources, you might need to change and then restart the print spooler service on your computer.

To do this, we recommend that you save your work and restart the computer to restart the print spooler service. If you do not want to restart the computer, try these steps.

To change or restart the print spooler service

You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

    1. Open administrative tools by clicking the start , clicking Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then Tools clickingAdministrative.

    2. Double-click Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. Right click on the print spooler service, and then click Properties.

    4. On the general tab, next to startup type, make sure that thatAutomatic is selected.

    5. If the service is not already running, under State Service, clickStart, and then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

However, I am able to access Internet Explorer without problem. What is the problem?

    Hello

    1. you hear that you receive the error at startup after you have signed in to the user account?
