Group with ASA RA-VPN-map
Dear all!
I have a setup of RA - VPN with a Cisco VPNC and a Cisco Secure ACS 4.2. I do VPN tunnel-group mapping clears the user to class attributes 25 RADIUS (OU =...), and it works fine. I migrated this solution since the VPNC to an ASA5520 with 8.0 software image (4) and I just can't do this mapping of tunnel-group, although ACS configuration is the same (of course) and I think that FW configuration is correct also.
All tunnel groups internal and authentication is just everywhere, but the tunnel projection is not working.
Can someone email me an example configuration for ASA to check?
Y at - it a special order (e.g. "tunnel-Group-map enable or") should I use?

The pools and ip addresses can be either set on the group policy with the correct value, or you can use the ACS with either a static ip address on the user or with the pool on the group or user, this attribute will be passed on to the RADIUS access accept as a framed ip address value.

Problem with ASA 5505 VPN remote access
After about 1 year to have the VPN Client from Cisco connection to an ASA 5505 with no problems, all of a sudden one day it stops working. The customer is able to get a connection to the ASA and browse the local network for only about 30 seconds after the connection. After that, no access is available to the network behind the ASA. I have tried everything I can think of to try to solve the problem, but at this point, I'm just banging my head against a wall. Anyone know what could cause this?

No Internet connectivity with ASA 5505 VPN remote access

I configured ASA 5505 for remote access VPN to allow a remote user to connect to the Remote LAN officce. VPN works well, users can access Office Resource of LAN with sahred etc., but once they have connected to the VPN, they are unable to browse the internet?
Internet navigation stop working as soon as their customer VPN connect with ASA 5505 t, once they are disconnected from VPN, once again they can browse the internet.
Not ASA 5505 blocking browsing the internet for users of VPN? Is there anything else that I need congfure to ensure that VPN users can browse the internet?
I have to configure Split Tunnleing, NATing or routing for VPN users? or something else.

What you run into is a default behavior of the ASA in which she will not route traffic back on the same interface on which he arrived. So if the VPN traffic arrived on the external interface the ASA does not want to send back on the external interface for Internet access.
You have at least 2 options:
-You can configure split tunneling, as you mention, and this would surf the Internet to continue during the use of VPN.
-You can set an option on the ASA to allow traffic back on the same interface (this is sometimes called crossed). Use the command
permit same-security-traffic intra-interface

VPN with ASA 5500 VPN with PIX 515E vs
I wonder what are the differences between the use of an exisitng PIX 515E for VPN remote users as appossed to acquire an ASA 5500 VPN remote users? Information or advice are appreciated to help me lean toward one or the other.

According to the version of the code that you run on the PIX on the PIX or ASA VPN features must be the same. So if the choice is not based on differences in features, what else would help guide the choice? You can consider if the existing PIX has sufficient resources to add the extra processing VPN load or if you should put that on another box. You might consider that the PIX is an older product range, and his end is near, while the ASA is the product that is the strategic replacement for the PIX. Given a choice I probably prefer to use a technology newer than the old technology. I also believe that the ASA will give you more choice of technology to go forward (a way of better growth) while the PIX provides current capacity but no path of growth.
On the other hand, there is the aspect of consider that using the existing PIX does not need not to buy something new and ASA would be an expense you have to cover in the budget. And for some people the budget constraint is an important consideration.

1 if nat-control is disabled and you do not have any other order NAT in your config file, you do not have it. Try to remove the existing "NAT 0" command and "clear xlate."
2. you must ensure that your network inside know they can go by ASA to access remote vpn client IP. You have any device layer 3 behind the ASA that does the routing. If so, please verify that this is the routing table.

Problem with remote access VPN on ASA 5505
I currently have a problem of an ASA 5505 configuration to connect via VPN remote access by using the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0440 under Windows 8 Pro x 64. The VPN client will prompt you for the user name and password during the connection process, but fails soon after.

But I want to set up a vpn group in the CLI for a different group of the user who accesses the different server or a different network on my local network.

I need to know how I can do this, and if you can give me some example script to complete this

NAC Appliance with ASA (for remote user VPN)
I have a pair of firewall 5520 cisco which is used as a VPN gateway (for remote user VPN) and perimeter firewall Internet (to provide outbound internet connectivity).
We allow the NAC to remote VPN users. I have it will be deployed with active 3 layer inband.
The problem with this design is that how to ensure that outgoing internet traffic does not pass through the CASE?
I heard about couple of optioins:
-ACB (for send only IP subnet to VPN users remote to go through CASE)
-Version 8.x characteristic of ASA (Restrcit access to VLAN under Group Policy).
I intend to do with ASA firewall where I can set a new subinterface on the SAA (with a new tag VLAN) and under the group policy for remote user VPN, I select the option to "restrict access to the new VLAN.
My question is: is - it still works (even if the firewall have a route to the internal network by using the 'inside' interface and NOT the new interface of the NAC). If this does not work, please let me know what are the other options for this type of deployment.

Cisco ASA 5510 VPN Site to Site with Sonicwall
I am trying to configure a tunnel between a Cisco ASA 5510 VPN (Version 8.2 (2)) and TZ200 Sonicwall. I rose tunnel and go and I am able to ping the internal IP address of Cisco ASA of the Sonicwall LAN but nothing work. When I try to ping a host behind the Cisco ASA of the Sonicwall LAN I get the following message "rules asymmetrical NAT matched for flows forward and backward; Connection for tcp src outside:10.20.10.x/xxxx dst inside:10.20.2.x/xxxx refused due to failure of reverse path of NAT"on the SAA
Googling the error above shows the problems with version 8.3 or later that resembled the nat commands have been changed SAA, train is still on 8.2 but I another common question does not add an exemption of NAT I have double-triple checked that I did add an exception rule of NAT of the hosts on the network from cisco for the guests of the Sonicwall network. Looks like I hit a road block so any help would be appreciated. Thank you

VPN connects not to Linksys 10/100 4-port VPN Router with ASA 5505
We are trying to get a new ASA 5505 implemented on our network after the untimely demise of our router from 1841. One of the functions of the router that we go back to the top and the race is a pair of VPN for employees that we were working outside. These are site-to-site virtual private networks.
They worked with the 1841 in place, so I know the other end works. I just have configuration problems the ASA to match. I have been through the wizard in ASDM a couple of times, but have yet to have a bit of luck that it connects.
Attached are the configuration files for the 1841 (with two virtual private networks) and the 5505 (with only 1 VPN in place). Can someone help me with what I may be missing to get this working?
A note: I am having trouble with my NAT (another post in the meantime) configurations, but I think they are close enough that I hope that is not interfering with the VPN.
If I can get one running, the other has an almost identical game, so I should be able to get the second pretty easily.
Any thoughts?

ASA 5505 VPN cannot access inside the host
I have access remote VPN configuration on an ASA 5505, but cannot access the host or the AAS when I connect through the VPN. I can connect with the Cisco VPN client and the VPN is on on the SAA and it shows that I am connected. I have the correct Ip address, but I can't ping or you connect to one of the internal addresses. I'm setting up an ASA 5520 for VPN access. Authorization & authentication using an LDAP server. I have successfully configured tunnel, and I can access internal resources. What I want to do now is to limit access to a specific ad group membership. In the absence of this belonging to a group, a user cannot access the VPN.
My VPN client software testing is Cisco Systems VPN Client 5.0.05.0290 Version. The Group authentication is configured in a connection entry that identifies the Group of Tunnel. I think I wrote that correctly.
The Version of the software on the SAA is 8.3 (1).
My current challenge is getting the VPN to stop letting each request for access through little matter belonging to a group. I found the thread below to be significantly useful, but there is obviously something which is not entirely mesh with my situation.

Setup for use with Cisco Anyconnect VPN IPsec
So, I had trouble setting up VPN on our ASA 5510. I would use IPsec VPN so that we don't have to worry about licensing issues, but what I have read you can do with and always use Cisco Anyconnect. My knowledge on how to set up VPN especially in iOS version 8.4 is limited, so I've been using a combination of command line and ASDM.
I am finally able to connect from a remote location, but once I log in, nothing else works. What I've read, you can use IPsec for client-to-lan connections. I use a pre-shared for this. Documentation is limited on what should happen after have connected you? Shouldn't be able to local access on the vpn connection computers? I'm trying to implement work. If I have VPN from home, should not be able to access all of the resources at work? According to me, because I used the command-line as ASDM I confused some of the configuration. In addition, I think that some of the default policies are confused me too. So I probably need a lot of help. Here is my current setup with the changed IP address and other things that are not related to deleted VPN.
NOTE: We are still testing this ASA and is not in production.

I would recommend buy AnyConnect Essentials. The cost of the license is nominal - list of US $150 for the 5510. (piece number L-ASA-AC-E-5510 =)
Meawwhile you can use the Cisco VPN client inherited with IKEv1 IPSec remote access VPN using profiles *.pcf.
I believe you can also use the client Anyconnect client SSL or DTLS transport access remotely (non-IPsec) without having to buy the license Anyconnect Essentials for your ASA focus.
As an aside, note that if you want to use AnyConnect Mobile (e.g. for iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry etc.clients) you will also get the additional license for it (L-ASA-AC-M-5510 =, also price US $150)
