  Oracle doesn't have anything called a 'group '.

  A role is a named object that can contain a set of privileges. All members may be individual privileges or may be another role that contains its own set of privileges. Roles can then be granted to users (or other roles) so that the users (or roles) have the specified privileges.

  Hello

  Connect to Enterprisemanger-> right click on the domain-> titles-> roles and policies

  Then select capture and navigate to capture roles add LDAP users and groups to roles according to your requirement to capture. If faced with any LDAP related issues can create the user with the admin role and try to add it all first by assigning the two roles out there. Hoping that this will certainly help.

  Where in BI can you see what the users roles/permissions have been granted on the system? I know that there is some default roles such as admin, the author role, role of consumers etc.

  And when the system you can see the users who have access to BI reports?

  You will find not directly out of the box somewhere in you saying "user 1, 2, 3 have access to the report A, B, C" etc.

  In your other thread you found how to see the permissions on the web of the catalogue of objects, these permissions may be by user or application role.

  In Enterprise Manager, you can see which user/group is associated with what app role, you can also see the same (app role membership) in system-jazn-"Data.xml" (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/bi.1111/b32121/pbr_conf012.htm#RSPUB75339), get is by WLST and probably also a webservice.

  But it's up to you to put the pieces together and have the link between a user and a report or analysis.

  Just keep in mind a user can have direct permission or by an application role and a user may have a role of app directly or by a group. Roles of the App can inherit permissions by other roles app. A group can be part of another group.

  In the end, you have several paths inheritance in place (app-roles & groups), so is not a simple link from 1 to 1, but you have all the data to be able to resolve the legacy and various members rules and build a report of "the user to the web BI object catalog."

  Hello

  SDM is not a polic store nor a system of identity management. It does not really to sense what you're asking. Instead of jazn-"Data.xml", you can use OID and RDBMS to policies and vinifying the identities of users. If it is only the identities of users and groups to move to another bank, then you OID, RDBMS, Active Directory. OAM etc... The jazn-"Data.xml" file btw. is used at design time. The deployment - default - users and groups are created of jazn-"Data.xml" in the built-in LDAP WLS server. Strategies jazn-"Data.xml" file are copied to the system-jazn-"Data.xml" of the target WLS server.

  Hello @Java.v3rm,.

  In a P2P group you can disable the change in the topic of the group with the command/set options - TOPIC_AND_PIC_LOCKED_FOR_USERS. This option is not available in the cloud groups.

  Disabling to join in can be made with the Set command options - JOINING_ENABLED. This command works in P2P and cloud-based groups. You can otherwise, do a right click on the group, open their profile and uncheck the box "Make a link for all the world to join".

  For 11 GR 2 IOM, roles map to the OID groups if there is a ldap synchronization (between IOM and the OID). I know that it works for IOM 11.1.2.2 and OID 11.1.1.7 (also 11.1.1.6 OID as well).

  Between the IOM and the OID ldap synchronization will automatically synchronize users of IOM in OID. So if you add a user to the IOM it will come in OID under the users container.  You create the role of IOM, you should see a group created under the OID. Similarly, if you add users to the IOM for a role of IOM, it will map/synchronization user in OID OID group.

  I try to learn OBIEE and started installing it in my laptop.
  
  I connect with the weblogic user account. When I go to Administration > manage privileges, I can see different groups as roles of consumers BI, BI author roles etc.
  
  How do I assign or see which group my weblogic user belongs to? Where can I manage these groups? don't know if its been through weblogic?

  Cannot create groups and users/groups to manage--> identity. Users on the magagers of identity are references to security field.

  I had to get all the users a repository very large because they where to implement a new security model. Wrote a small script to make life easier:

  I have an application that uses the security of adf, pre-deployment I created the users and roles to grant access or permissions to certain pages in mid CA. the thing is that I need to know if its possible to create users and roles through my the weblogic Server console and that roles and users can have permissions in my app I try but the only thing that works is authentication...   It should work very easily.

  What you have to do is give the domain name as domain (default myrealm) weblogic, this step you already have you're abe to authenticate.

  Now in jazn-"Data.xml", there are 2 types of roles. Application role & business role. Select business roles when assigning permissions. These should also be the same roles myrealm.

  You can also use the application role and have a relationship between the application role & business role.

  Only the care you need to take are to deploy the application in the EAR file, deployed a flag there migrate suite security users and security groups object. Deselect it.
  When you use the user groups and migrate the Application roles.

• Why Firefox keep save my last sites traveled as a group and then open this group when I start next time? It will not stop, and I get really mad

  Every time I close Firefox and I have a tab open, it records the tab as if I had recorded as a group and it opens the next time I start firefox again.

  You can check the startup parameter:

  • Tools > Options > general > startup: 'When Firefox starts': 'Show my home page' "show a blank page.

  Make sure that you always follow these groups and that it contributes.  Over the years, I found that from time to time the forum destroyed my following, and I need to re - follow the things that I'm interested.

  I don't know if that's a problem, or if there is a way to ensure that the user is always really interested in getting these emails, and if they aren't, it will reduce the number of servers forum need to send emails.  TOTAL speculation on my part, but it happened to me several times since 2005 when I began to participate in the forums.

• Added properties (Group and channel) are not a numeric data type.

  I use a use to add two groups and channel custom properties. The properties are text and digital, double and whole.

  When I create a request in the browser, I selects the custom using the drop-down list property, but has only the drop operator "=" or "<>". "" The property is displayed in the data portal is a number of float. I had this problem when I was adding properties custom by using a script. I then tried "Navigatorinstallation / my Index DataFinder/Reset/Reset", then repopulated my search box, using the use on my raw data files. At this point, all the properties of my have only the "=" or "<>" choice of operator in the query.

  It seems that my properties are digital in the data portal, but the the query string of the browser.

  Hi Bill,

  You don't have to delete the files.  Choose the NAVIGATOR menu "settings > My DataFinder > reset... '. "can clilck on the UPPER part of the two buttons, one called"reset the index.  Which will remove all records in database and re-index all of your data files.  If you one of these properties have already optimized, set their State not optimized before resetting the index, otherwise the optimized property data types will persist.

  If this does not help, then the problem could be in the use that you use.
