Groups of local Windows users and user state parameters
I am trying to set some parameters of user state in CSA 5.0.0.187 and I can't seem to make reference to local Windows groups. When I use the built-in Administrators SID, it does not recognize the account that I've added locally in the Administrators group. Also, it will not recognize a Local Group test that I created. Has someone else has trouble getting local groups to recognize to the CSA? My domain groups will recognize.

Where can I find the Windows password and user name information
I download a new system from my computer and everything was going well until they asked my Windows username and password. I do not remember, and I can't find. Can you get it someone please let me know where I should look... Thank you
Hello, dreamcatcher16
Please use the Forum for answers!
You upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7?
You can get your username by going to C:\Users\ and find your user name under Windows Vista and C:\Documents and Settings\ for Windows XP.
We are unable to provide assistance with respect to the recovery of a password.
If you are able to connect to your machine and have administrator rights, you can then change your password by clicking on start, right-click on computer and choose manage. Open the users section and groups, then users, right click on your account and choose set password.
I hope this helps.

I'll try to keep this simple - as I already asked this on other forums without the answer. My environment - Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 32-bit client machines. A computer needs to scan patient documents to a network shared by a group of users folder. There will be many people who use this computer even through all day (several shifts - environment 24 hours/7 days). This is why I need multiple profiles from windows to all save the scan to the SAME network location.
Currently I am trying to achieve with Windows Fax and Scan and using the ' Scan 'option under 'tools' routing. " There is a check box (once in this option) for "network location". I am using this option, but its does not work and that's the whole problem. Its supposed to AUTOMATICALLY record each scan to the specified network location, but it does no such thing. The scan is not registered at all in fact it is just in the interface user of Windows Fax and Scan... double you click it, and then it shows you the image.
Some information note for helping people answer this question (and any help is appreciated):
(1) * YES * the network folder, I am trying to record is a valid network folder and * IS * accessible via my network of different devices
(2) * YES * the user of this journal on the computer with the scanner * ALL * read/write to have rights to this location of the network folder
(3) * file YES and printing sharing is already active on clients
If you please if someone either knows how to solve this problem, or at this stage if you can even suggest a different (cheaper the better) application that will scan to a network location please let me know.
One might think to a disabled feature labeled as "scan routing" and then a field for "network location", it would be simple as plugging in the network folder and checking a box - apparently it isn't.
Thank you.

Need to have this configuration in a classroom environment.
I don't know what you mean when you ask a desktop or sharing users.
A network computer can share files and printers with other computers, but there are limits that might make it unusable for you. Windows XP and Vista allow 5 or 10 concurrent connections by other computers, depending on the version.
You need an operating system of Windows Server or Linux server to allow for more concurrent connections to shared files and printers.
I also fear that an ad - hoc network does not work well with 50 computers.

Several user accounts in Windows 7 and Windows 10 update
Hello
I'll update my Windows 7 Windows 10 and I was wondering what would happen to user accounts on Windows 7?
The situation is this: the computer is used by me and my brother, and each of us has his user account. There are different programs that I installed with my account and he installed on his 'side' with his user account. There are also a lot of files that I don't want to lose with the update.
Is there a safe way for users to transition safely two accounts?
P.S. I read about backing up my files and I will not fail to do if there is no definitive answer to my question.
Is there a safe way for users to transition safely two accounts?
-> If the upgrade goes well, both accounts will be maintained.
I read on the backup of my files and I will not fail to do if there is no definitive answer to my question.
-> Wrong question. There is no certainty in life and the view of upgrade countless problems reported in these forums, you would take a serious risk, if you have not backed up your files beforehand.
You seem not to be aware of this rule of iron of the processing of the data. It is said that all important files should be kept at all times on two independent media. A lot of people ignore this rule. Here we see them when something goes wrong. It can be a tough lesson to learn.

Title asks this.
Why don't c:\users\attrib h 'All Users' changing the directory to all users so that it displays in the file Explorer? Same thing with %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto and ProgramData directories?

Hello
In Windows 7, the AllUsers folder is not a real file.
It is a symbolic link that redirects to the C:\ProgramData folder.
ProgramData is not hidden, by default.
The correct syntax for the Attrib command would be,
C:\>attrib h ProgramData
You can view all files by going to the tab options\View Organize\Folder and research.
In the section files and hidden files , place a check mark in the Show drives, folders and hidden files.

Connection with a user name of domain under Windows 7 and 8.1
In my organization, we migrated our machines windows 7 and 8.1 to the Active Directory domain.
Ideally connect on Windows 7 and 8.1 Machine with user domain\username
But at the present time, we are able to connect to Windows 7 and 8.1 machine providing any domain name or abc\username xyz\username with valid username and password.
Is there a solution that allows the user to connect only indicating the valid domain name. If the user types abc or xyz as domain name, the error message should be displayed.
Thank you

Installation of Adobe met an unexpected failure when you attempt to install the first instance of AdobeAcrobatPro DC. It is the exact error message and seems to be the case for a number of users. I am running Windows 7 and was already able to install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and have Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX installed successfully. It's the exact error message, there is NO error code! It seems as there is no support number to contact Adobe to, and the only way to receive the 'support' is through the forum. PLEASE ANSWER!

She doesn't remember his password for Outlook, but I think that it be the same as their Windows password. Which option gets me to see its sign Windows name and secure password? Just saw the number of characters on his password would give me a good idea because it isn't too much peace of mind and uses the same characters 6,7,8 passwords.
