GTX GPU 660 problems

I recently bought a Nvidia GTX 660 from ASUS to replace the Nvidia GT 620 in my HP Envy h8-1430 pc. After I installedd GPU and I shot, even if it was put on, it started beeping for some reason, I don't know why, but I double checked and made sure that everything has been properly installed, but it still beeps at startup, so I had to put in my old GPU to make it work.

    Hello!

    I'm editing on a Macbook Pro 15 "2012 2.3 ghz w / a gpu 650 m."

When I have the playback engine Mercury in my program screen GPU mode is glitches and impossible to display the video correctly. This only happens when the timeline is paused / not scouring. The timeline is under what the video display correctly without problem.

During playback of mercury is in software mode is no problem with the program window.

I took the project and opened it on my Workstation Windows 10 with a Nvidia Gtx 970 w/o any problems.

If you know what is the cause (e.g., bad drivers, configuration, etc) please let me know! Thank you.

  • Aurora R4 and double Asus GTX 670: heating problem

    Nice day

This week, I added a second GTX 670 to my system.

All work fine in the majority of the game.  In heavy load, GPU1 temp can be up to 75 - 80 c and GPU2 until 89 - 91 c.  That's high, but still under the recommended 97 HP max temp  And I never experience any decline in performance.

(idle, both card stay under 40 c)

That said, in some games, like Batman: Arkham City, don't know why, but the GPU2 temp reached 96 C.  It is far too high.

The fact that the 2 cards are very close together and even affect themselves, is a problem.  Also, the map background is so close to the merits of the case (or the power supply I think).

Thus, in this area, a lot of heat.

You guys have ideas on how I could work it to control the heat?  Physically, I can't move cards.

I already changed the profile of fan with the Tweak of Asus utility.  That helped a lot.  More noise, but it doesn't matter.

I'm sure that remove the protective heat and side panel (the door that closes on the GPU) should help, but I don't want that :(

Should I install a cooling of the water? (I'm not familiar with this, and I believe that it can be quite expensive).

    Any thought on this?

I'll post some pictures of the installation tonight (its actually 8h50am here, I'm at work)

It is a problem on this little mATX cases. This is why I suggest that people go to a single card solution. These after-market maps are meant to draw in the air on their front edge and evacuate on their rear edge?

Be sure to bring in enough fresh air to the front case fan PCIe (I use the curve).

Yes, try to remove the hinged lid.

Last resort... Add an another exhaust fan to pull hot air away from cards. If you can get that hot air inside top, it should mix or stand on.

  • GTX 750 TI problem

Hello, the other day, I bought a GTX 750 TI to replace my 530 GT and when I started my computer, there were beeps sounds and it wouldn't start. I guess there is a problem with my card mother and bios, but I need to clarify if my diet could be a problem, too

My computer model is the H8-1120 and I want to know if the motherboard is compatible with the GTX 750 TI because there has been no update since 2012.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello

I don't think you have a power supply problem because there have been a number on messages about specific models of the NVIDIA 750 does not not in different HP motherboards.  Try one of the below graphics cards that they might have the best compatibility with your PC.

MSI NVIDIA GTX N750 TI and the MSI GTX N750 TF these graphics cards have a switch to operate in legacy and UEFI mode.  See the image below.

The NVIDIA GTX 750 will not work on your PC. Your PC needs a BIOS version 8 and is not available for your PC.

Graphics of OEM HP to the address following cards will work on your PC.

  • GPU upgrade problem with M3985

I try to put a GTX in the Aspire M3985 770 - I have improved the power supply to a 650w with no problems (computer works without the card, as well as the power supply), but when the card is put that I meet problems.

If I put the card in the system and plug my monitor, the computer gets to BIOS Acer screen... and that's all. After that, I get about 4 beeps every 20 seconds and the screen then goes black with a flashing underscore more than beeps. If I try to access the BIOS screen goes all black.

If I have the card in the system and try to plug my monitor on the INTEGRATED GRAPH card... I get an error from the BIOS code. 1 long beep and 2 short. I know, it's a video card error. This also applies when nothing is plugged into the card or edge.

When the card is removed, the problems to stop him.

What I am led to believe that it is either:
    1. the motherboard is not compatible with the card (this really should not be a problem with a computer that is a year old... If it is, it's absolutely ridiculous.)

    2. the BIOS of the motherboard has problems with the map... a simple update the BIOS should fix this... but as I can see updates of motherboard for this computer have been neglected since BEFORE the release of this card, which explains a lot.

    3. the video card BIOS is the problem. I find it hard to believe though. The map has been updated in another computer. The card works fine, and the BIOS is in final review.

Help to fix this would be appreciated so I can decide what I'll do with this card.

    Thank you.

Just thought that I would let you know I solved the problem by changing the motherboard.

  • Slowed down during the rendering process - 770 GTX GPU

I am a file - this is a PSD with animated layers (position, opacity) with video overlays - totaling a little more than 2 minutes. Before I got the velociraptor hard drive 10krpm, it took 11 hours for export. Thinking that it was the hard drive (which was probably a big bottleneck even when problem) I had a new one just for this.

After obtaining my project on the velociraptor and set up as a working drive, I started to make the same file again.

It's happened for 4 hours, with the GPU sitting idle (0%), but its use is to 1867 according to my GPUTweak software memory.

Reading of mercury for the project is set to GPU. Whole reason I got a higher end video card is for the first use the GPU to accelerate the process, and it doesn't seem to be the case.

by "rendering", I mean I have red bars in the upper part of the chronology, break-in numpad in a hurry.

    * Edit * after a strike at this point, my rendered file and I waiting over SOUL and results are the same - memory GPU used but no GPU

    Any ideas/suggestions? Is this normal?

    My system:

    I7 - 2600K @3. 40 GHz

    ASUS P8Z77 - V LX motherboard

    24 GB RAM

ASUS GTX770 - DC2 OC 2 GB (with latest drivers)

Seagate 2 TB hdd (OS and applications)

Velociraptor 500 GB hdd (scratch, media release)

    Windows7 x 64

all programs adobe updated to 2014 CC

The maximum dimensions made me think on the number of tracks - there was no mention of tracks max in the article dimensions Max Mine had many trails, who sat to an opacity of 0% of layers.  So I had indicated to do a cleanup, to see if I can squeeze little speed this way.

My primary sequence was of 36 titles, nested in another sequence with more than 4 tracks, and one of these titles has been nested has 6 tracks more... I deleted all the stuff opacity 0 to condensed my time line, by removing the used. I got the 36 tracks up to 20, and...

BAM! 3 minutes to make! on the machine that took more than 8 hours. The problem was I was too sloppy with all pose and must have exceeded a limit of the track.

  • EVGA GTX GPU Pavilion 500-277cb 960 leave Sam's Club

I'm interested if a graphics card in EVGA GTX960 (model 02 G-P4-2962-GOLD) can be added to a HP Pavilion 500 - 277cb of the Sam's club. I am aware that I needed to upgrade the power of 600w. My research indicated that the card had to be secure boot hp compatible. EVGA has confirmed that this card is compatible, but impossible to validate that it was compatible to the bios and card mother Memphis-S. It's the smallest graphics card so it must adapt to the Board and the inside of the case. This card will work? And what happens if changes would be to do?

You've done the research and should have no problem. What PSU are you interested in?

On the driver tab nVidia GT 620 under display adapters in the Device Manager, which is the version of the driver? This is reflected at the title of the help in the nVidia Control Panel.

Oops, another thought. How you connect the monitor to the computer, VGA, HDMI or DVI? You should use the connector on the video card, NOT the upper connector that must be covered with a plastic cap.

  • HP Envy H8 - 1540t - graphics cards double, Pcie 3.0 support

I have 2 questions about the use of dual graphics cards and Pcie 3.0 support in my machine.

    The machine is:

    HP Envy H8 - 1540t

    Win 8 64

    I7-3820 2nd generation

    10 GB OF DDR3 1600 MEMORY

    256 GB SSD

    Blu - Ray player

    TV tuner

    Prem N - Wireless Lan and Bluetooth 2 x 2

    600 Watt PSU

    NVidia GTX 660

    This machine uses the card mother Pegatron IPIWB-PB and has 2 Pcie x 16 slots. I realize that using the width double GPUS like GTX 660, the small Pcie connectors next to them will be buried, rendering it useless. They are so my 2 questions;

1.) Will 2 Nvidia GTX GPU 660 is in good physical shape within the machine and be supported?

2.) this motherboard with a Intel X 79 chipset does support Pcie 3.0?

    Thank you

    Hello

You can find information on the following OFFICIAL link, it seems that it only supports PCIe Gen 2.0

The image of the motherboard (see above) and the following picture of the 660 GTX, simple answer: 2 cards will not be in good physical shape.

  • Change the GTX 660 stock cooler & fan on a H8-1151eo desktop PC

    Hello

Just bought a PC desktop H8-1511eo a few days ago. Early on, the fan on the 660 GTX running notiably high speed and very noisy. Not noisy as broken, but as the * bleep * thing was trying to extinguish a fire

Should the fan on the GTX speed automatically set according to the time GPU (29 C @ idle), or what? However, it seems that it is RPM max all the time (1700rmp - utility Speedfan). Downloaded the latest NVIDIA drivers (314). It did not help. It seems that the support of doenst motherboard the possibility to adjust the fan speed, or cela it locked from Bios or something?

Any Bios Update on the h8-1151eo to control the fan speed?

And anyway, I found a rather small (119 x 94 x 51 fan / w mm) VGA cooler (A r c t I c C o o l e r) 660 GTX. Only problem is that the maximum for the cooler 120W power dissipation and energy max is around 130W GTX 660. Do you think it will be a problem? I would buy the model more large (up to 200W), but I don't know if it can be inserted inside the Tower (136 x 138 x fan / w 51 mm). Is there a list of VGA coolers that fit in the case of ATX Mid of the h8-1511eo, or can you recommend one?

    -Thank you

    Hello

It is the VBios on the video card in GTX660 that control the speed of the fan according to temperature changes, rather than the motherboard BIOS the Office.

Is your PC of office still under warranty?  For the HP product warranty status check the web page.

Your GTX video card maybe having problems. I suggest that you contact HP Total care and explain the problem.

If your office is no longer under warranty, I recommend to replace the video card. Remove the cooler on a video card is not as simple as it is to do the same thing with a motherboard CPU cooler. The video cooler on the video card GTX660 may have replaced thermal interface or the VBios updated material.

  • Z600: Stock HP Z600 GPU Upgrade possible version GTX?

Hi, thank you for taking the time to look at my question.

I have a hp z600 (stock) my computer that I want to date with a new GPU (graphics card)

I want to place a GTX - gpu 9XX Nvidea card in my computer (mainly for games)

I can't find mutch information about an upgrade like this for the z600.

just be wary of space and energy consumption.

So my question for you beautiful people does anyone have experience by replacing the stock GPU for a

Nvidea GTX (XXX) gpu?  If you experience any upgrade of any card GTX information would of course help out me.

    Thank you

    Greetings Michael

    D3Nv3R, welcome to the forum.

Here is an Overview of the computer.  It shows the video cards supported by the motherboard.  It says nothing about the nVidia GTX cards.  They require the UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  I doubt that your motherboard has UEFI due to age.

  • Qosmio X 500 - GTX 460 M lag Butterfly

Need some advice about my laptop.

I have problems with my Qosmio X 500 34 which I think is associated GPU.

Problems with it from the word go with fan dead CPU which had to be replaced and the blue screen of death. Occupied reformat using own windows 7 Ultimate and drivers after. No problems after.

Have not tried games until recently. But get lag or limitation emits every 3-4 seconds only in the game, not on video, but even at the lowest resolution.

I tried sniper elite, Starcraft 2, and now Diablo 3 with all the same problem.

I've updated last GPU drivers and BIOS, but no change. Updated all drivers windows 7 and NVIDIA Web site, but once again no change.

You run GPU - Z and only things, is that it works on PCIE 1.1 instead of max 2 which increases on rendering test.

I am not very informed when it comes to GPU and particularly in books, any advice on what I should do would be appreciated.
