GTX 750 TI problem

Hello, the other day, I bought a GTX 750 TI to replace my 530 GT and when I started my computer, there were beeps sounds and it wouldn't start. I guess there is a problem with my card mother and bios, but I need to clarify if my diet could be a problem, too

My computer model is the H8-1120 and I want to know if the motherboard is compatible with the GTX 750 TI because there has been no update since 2012.

Thanks for the help!

Hello

I don't think you have a power supply problem because there have been a number on messages about specific models of the NVIDIA 750 does not not in different HP motherboards.  Try one of the below graphics cards that they might have the best compatibility with your PC.

MSI NVIDIA GTX N750 TI and the MSI GTX N750 TF these graphics cards have a switch to operate in legacy and UEFI mode.  See the image below.

    Hi Ken,

Watch high aon back of the graphics card for a switch.  See the image below.

You should have received a leaflet in the box describing the use of the switch (legacy mode or UEFI).  If your PC is a version 8 HP BIOS then disable secure boot if set. If your PC isn't at the level of the BIOS version 8 and then the switch must be in position inherited.  The brochure should describe the use of the switch.

    Marc, welcome to the forum.

Yes, I think that your motherboard should be compatible with the video card.  The card requires UEFI in the motherboard and your mother should have.  Just be aware that the specifications concerning the State of the map that it requires only a power supply (PSU) with 300W power.  Many members have reported that it is rather 400W.  You can try with the current POWER supply, but if this does not work I suggest one made by Corsair.  I recommend at least 500W.

    MrGamer101, welcome to the forum.

Here's the model manufactured by EVGA.  Look in the 'Détails' tab for complete specifications.  It says that the card is 9 "long.    I suggest to make a model of the size of the map to see if she will enter the space with a good air circulation.  When playing or doing intensive video tasks much heat is developed.  It's a PCI Express 3.0 x 16 and the slot in the motherboard PCI Express 2.0 x 16.  The 3.0 is backward compatible.  If it can be properly inserted into the space, it should work without any problems.

  • P6 - 2155a: HP Pavilion P6 2155a Asus GTX 750 Ti Windows 7 home 64-bit

    Hello

I was wondering if someone might be able to help please... My nephew has a P6 HP 2155 (H1N09AA #ABG) has with Windows 7 64 bit.  I bought her a card video Asus GTX 750 Ti (this card requires no additional power from the power supply).  When I install the machine stays on the initial startup of HP screen and progresses then (after some time) to a black screen with the cursor blinking in the upper left side.  There is no bios beeps to indicate that the card is faulty or does not work in the machine.

I read that some people have had some successes, but I can't solve this problem.  I read that a bios upgrade may be required, but visit the HP support page there is no bios section under drivers/software suggesting that there has been no update published by hp.

I saw that there is an update of the bios for Windows 8 OS.  I saw also there are a few updates BIOS Driverguru but I'm a little nervous trying the ROM with the HP not downloaded flash software.  Perhaps these Driverguru bios updates are motherboard Μatx-H61-Joshua but not the variant of HP.

So I wonder, someone at - it pointers or suggestions?  I know the video card works as I have tried in my HP 8300 Series machine and it works without any fault.

I really appreciate if anyone has suggestions and thank you for reading about my problem.

Update... Update (2ADA ROMA family) 8.17 Rev A installed HP consumer Desktop PC BIOS BIOS for Windows 8 and everything works now!

Fully tested and no problem at all.

If someone reads this always proceed with caution - if it works for me that it might not work for you.

  • HPE - 580 t NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti video card upgrade

I had a lot of problems with the AMD video card with my HP HPE - 580 t came.

I think spend my HPE - 580 t to a nVidia GTX750 Ti video card.  I note the GTX 750 Ti is built for the slots PCI-E 3.0 and I think my HPE - 580 t has only slots PCI-E 2.0.

This new graphics card works in my PC?

    Surfer995, welcome to the forum.

The GTX 750ti may not work on your computer.  It requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  If you wanted to buy an EVGA card, you can contact their Technical Support (1-888-881-3842) to see if they have a VBIOS update so that it can work with your motherboard.  This is your best option.  Your power supply (PSU) will be fine.

    Abestbeats, welcome to the forum.

People have problems with the 'GTX 750 Ti' model is because it requires UEFI firmware of the motherboard.  HP didn't start to fully use UEFI firmware until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was introduced in December 2011.

According to the maunufacturer of video card, they may have an update VBIOS to make your card works with your computer.  I know that the EVGA, for example, updates of specific cards.  You will need to contact their Technical Support for assistance.  In addition, you may need to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU) in the computer, if you haven't done so already.  It is 300W.

  • HP Pavilion 500-319na: is it possible to run a NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti?

I was wondering if my computer of 500-319na HP Pavilion could launch a NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti graphics card. It's because I'm not sure if my computer has the right amount of space to be able to fit inside or whether it would be able to manage the energy needs of 300W. My current graphics card is a NVIDIA GT 705.

    You are welcome.

No, if the PSU is not powerful enough to run the card it does not work.  There will be no damage to the card or the power supply.

    Hello!

After this purchase pre-built Intel PC five or so years ago, it has graphic capeabilities are unfortunately insufficient for what I need. Long story short, I want to buy a new graphics card, but I don't know that the motherboard system takes care of everything. The card I currently have is a GT230 and I want to move to is the GeForce GTX 750 EVA and my motherboard is an MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) with an i7-860 processor. I can update without burning my PC?

    Ranger_621, welcome to the forum.

750 GTX graphics cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Therefore, it would be incompatible with your computer.  The last series of video cards that does not need UEFI was 640 gt.

  • Studio XPS 8000 (end 2009) + EVGA GTX 750 Ti, wake-up service by default/black screen saver (S3)

My Studio XPS 8000 (end of 2009) has no problem with sleep (S3) and wake up before I upgraded the Dell OEM Geforce GTX 260 arrives with the EVGA Geforce GTX 750 Ti system.

At present, the system has no question to go to sleep mode, however, when I try to wake the system by pressing power button/keyboard/mouse, System stucks after I hear the disc hard turns noise, and the screen stays black (no signal), then the system hangs there forever. I have to turn off the system and restart.

Other than / Eve black screen, the system works without any problem.

I upgrade the firmware MB(0X231R, intel P55) A03 BIOS, make sure also that I use the latest version of the driver for the gtx 750 ti (344.75 WHQL). Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. Still no luck.

750Ti GTX are supposed to use much less energy than the GTX 260. Is not the issue of power supply. On some forums, I found people say X 58 (not P55, but maybe the same reason) mainboard a sleep problem with latest Nvidia cards, because of the interactions between the BIOS and the operating system. The problem, to a patch of BIOS. XPS8000 being 5 years old, I don't think not that it will receive an update of the BIOS.

I wonder if there is a solution to this problem?

    Thank you.

Update: the issue has been raised again.

I need to talk with Nvidia support agents, and they helped.

The next step fixed my problem:

And further to isolate the problem, remove the graphic driver NVIDIA completely and start the cmputer only with generic driver checking windows if she still has the issue.

Use the display driver UN-Installer (DDU) and remove the NVIDIA files.

Display of the Nations United-for driver installation (DDU): http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/

-Restart the computer and when it restarts windows will install the default display driver, let it install.

Once installed the default driver, please check the functionality of the PC.

The critical step is to use DDU to completely remove in safe mode video card driver!

  • Dell Studio XPS 8000 - Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti Graphics Card

Hi I have a Dell Studio XPS 8000. Information on the system it's an Intel i7 CPU 860-2.8 GHz 2.79 GHz and 6 GB of RAM. operating system 64-bit, x 64 based processor.

I would like to know if I could adapt an Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics (2 GB, GDDR5, PCI-Express 3.0) without any problem? Or is there a better option?

The current map graphic is a GeForce GTS 240, that it came with.

I searched the internet to find out that if that would be ok, but became confused if the power supply is sufficient, the appearance of it bed 350w max power. I can't find some people say no and Yes.

    My computer knowledge is Basic.

    Thanks for any help.

You're better than replace the power supply Dell with a retail food more high wattage. Then the video card will be fine. Read your Manual for instructions.

  • GTX 750 will not start with HP P7-1233w

    Hello

I use a desktop PC HP P7-1233w and the EVGA GTX 750 will start at the HP Logo blue screen and after about a minute it will boot to a black screen (and that's all). When I leave the card it starts very well. I know that my diet is very well that others have used a GTX 750 Ti with the same block of power SUPPLY HP OEM as mine.

When the system comes on, I hear the spinning card fans. So I don't know, it's getting power and video. I tried everything, including clear CMOS. I also started in Mode safe, off the map graphic, firm and installing the card. Just to get the same thing.

In my system motherboard is a MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine). I thought that it could have something to do with the UEFI settings and inheritance, but there is no option in the BIOS and there is apparently no updated BIOS for my motherboard.

If someone could help me, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

HP P7-1233w was released in may 2012, and HP has not started to ship full UEFI level consumer computers to office until the middle of October 2012.

Modification on the motherboard to a card mother UEFI would require a new license of Windows 8. Windows 7 will not work in UEFI mode without some special hacks.

I would like to upgrade my video/graphic on my HP Pavilion AY602AA-ABA HPE-140f.   The vehicle currently has the NIVIDIA GeForce GT 230 and I would go with 750Ti NIVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 or GTX.   Would one of these work with my system?

I have not yet opened the file, but the system is supossedly a mother MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) with Intel Core i5 650, 8 GB of RAM (I've read the product specifications that some say dual and some say quad... not sure exactly how this works).   I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.   It is 350 Watts.   The hard drive was a 1 to SATA but is shot and must be replaced [it is a different matter].

I plan on adding a blue-ray disc player and use it for some games.   A recommendation for me was the NIVIDIA GeForce GTX 750.   I checked online and am confused with all the different versions and prices from this point.   Any help with specifications or which?    I need (or should) spend anything else?

    Thank you

    Hey Pops,

I suggest that you go back to the person who recommended the NVIDIA GTX 750 and ask for evidence that it works before buying this graphics card.  The NVIDIA GTX 750 even if there a hybrid BIOS will work in some older PCs, but not others.

Games?  Buy the NVIDIA GTX 660 and compare them with the CX600 Corsair or CS650m.
