GUI Builder

Is there any manufacturer RIM GUI that I can use for development?

Nope. RIM announced, but haven't heard from him yet

    Hi all

    I try to get in the development of Blackberry, but I'm pretty useless to graphics and design interfaces, (I want to focus on the back-end logic) - no one knows generator GUI that displays the code too so that I can add logic in the buttons etc?

    I downloaded studio MDS (not too sure what it was designed to do really) and found a very good GUI generator in there, but there is no code to go with it, which is not good for me. Perhaps I miss an option to display code somewhere?

    If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know,

    (I use eclipse (and have the Blackberry plugin (can't find a GUI Builder in there if) If this is useful, but I'm open to the use of new environments so that's what it takes!))

    See you soon,.

    Graham

    If you are looking for your orders to other port J2ME platforms, see LWUIT.

    It's the Sun. This is something similar slight swing superimposed on MIDP 2.0.

    It does not use the native blackberry UI API, however.

    I don't know about a GUI generator for it. It is a generator of matisse for LWUIT, but

    I did not follow upward to this topic.

  • GUI building in AS3

    Sort of a newbee question, I hope that there is a simple answer-

    I started by the construction of the entrance of the user 'Form' for my request on a mounting frame using the Flash GUI application.  Now, I want to move this to actionscript and take direct control of the code to build the interface.

    Is there somewhere in the Flash CS4 interface where you can select an item in the graphical interface (say a list box control) that you designed and say "Copy to Actionscript", and it will give you the code (without names) which is necessary to generate this element with the current properties?

    If I select my box item drop-down list on the timeline that I gave a few properties to hit "Copy to Action Script", and he would give me something like this:

    "var myComboBox:ComboBox = new more;
    myComboBox.addItem ({label: "IItem 1", price: 0.34});
    myComboBox.addItem ({label: "Item 2", price: 13.19});
    myComboBox.addItem ({label: "item 3", price: 2.96});
    myComboBox.addItem ({label: "Item 4", price: 3.49});
    myComboBox.addItem ({label: "item 5", price: 1.27}); »

    or,

    Is there a file where you can view the internal 'code' that produces graphical interface (if any)?

    Thank you.

    No, there is nothing that will create the code for a symbol for you. You can build your clips, then right click, select properties and export for ActionScript. Give it a class name and then you can use the class name in your code, to make the items on stage and it will otherwise control.

    For example - to create a graph of button and turn it into a MovieClip. Remove from the scene. In the library, go to properties of the element and give a name of myButton class.

    In your code AS you can then do:

    var aButton:myButton = new myButton();

    addChild (aButton);

    aButton.x = 100;

    aButton.y = 100;

    aButton.alpha =. 5;

    aButton.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, myButtonClicked, false, 0, true);

    function myButtonClicked(e:MouseEvent):void

    {

    trace ("button clicked");

    }

    etc.

    If your clips were more contained, provide the instance name for that other content and you can also control. For example, if your button contained a component with an instance name of "arrow", you could do (using the example above):

    aButton.arrow.alpha =. 2;

  • GUI Builder Update... is there any

    Hello

    RIM announced it would be releasing a GUI generator for application development sometimes by the middle of 2010.  It is now 2011.

    Is there news on this? The project has been abandoned?  Is there a new release date?  Is there a plugin for Eclipse, we can use to speed things along?

    Yes. The project was abandoned and is certainly not come to BB - OS. Maybe it'll come for QNX operating system, but I highly doubt it.

  • How to install the plugin of Flash Builder for Eclipse 4 (Juno) 4.6

    I just download Juno (Eclipse 4.2 32 bit) and wanted to install my plugin FB 4.6, but the installer says "Adobe Flash Builder requires Eclipse 3.6 or later" - which is superimposed, like Juno is the last and version 4.

    Looks like a bug with the installer doesn't recognize any version of Eclipse above 3.X.

    How can I work around this?

    Thank you

    B

    Install on Eclipse 3.7 and then copy the dropins on 4.2 installation folder.

    The first eclipse start was slow and I got the first point of view switch Flash NullPtr. But on the next departure, everything was ok.

    I can debug, GUI building, create new Flash projects... Maybe some things will not work... But I don't think that I'll need them.

    After the system restarts, HPLIP load in the system tray. Although the printer is installed and configured in the KDE system settings, it does not show in HPLIP or Manager HPLIP of devices. Why doesn't the HPLIP printer?

    I found a few things to check to make sure that HPLIP works well.  First of all, remove all printers which has not setup failed.  Also, make sure that the HP printer didn't need to be redefined to allow wireless communication.  Then make sure that the installation routine performs through the configuration of the wireless connection.  It should work reliably after that.  Do some tests, then resart your computer and scan something else.  I used playing cards...

  • Wireless for HP OfficeJet 6500 a configuration more all-in-One on Ubuntu 10.04

    I bought a HP OfficeJet 6500 has more all-in-One CN557A, I want to use with ubuntu 10.04 64 bits as a wireless network printer.
    Before, I bought, I checked the compatibility on www.hplipopensource.org and www.openprinting.org, and everything was in order.
    The machine is detected automatically and fully functional when connected with a usb cable, but I failed to operate as a wireless printer.
    That's what I did:

    I configured the printer on the network (through the interface of the printer), and it connects. It prints a 'Wireless Network Test report', and everything works. I can ping the local ip address and access it via the browser. HP eprint also works.

    I installed hplip 3.11.10 and dependencies manually. I did this because the default hplip in ubuntu 10.04 did not recognize the device.

    I ran 'hp-check', who gave without errors or warnings:

    1. check mode (-c or - compilation) compilation: use this mode before compiling the
    HPLIP provided source tarball (. tar.gz or .run) to determine if the appropriate dependencies
    are installed to compile correctly HPLIP.
    2. performance check (r or - run) mode: use this mode to determine if a distribution
    provided package (.deb, .rpm, etc.) or a supplied HPLIP tarball already built
    the appropriate dependencies installed to run successfully.
    3. the two and run-compilation mode check (b or - both) (by default): this mode
    check the two cases above (the two dependencies of compilation and execution).

  • Java plug-in for Eclipse or BB JDE BB

    Hello developers BB!

    I am really new to the BlackBerry development world as you will see.

    I started to read some of the tutorials and there is something that I'm not sure. What is the difference between BlackBerry Java plug-in for Eclipse and the BlackBerry JDE? Which one should I use to develop my applications?

    I'll take this opportunity to ask, is there a graphical development environment to develop applications? or do I have this code? I ask this question to the General knowledge.

    Thanks in advance for your time and help.

    Best regards.

    You should encode everything, there is no GUI Builder. Eclipse is the way to go, JDE is removed out sooner than later.

  • BlackBerry Java SDK v6.0 does not work with Eclipse v3.6

    How blackberry trying to compete with the other smartphone when it come to applications when the tools cannot anti same compatible with the latest version out there like Eclipse 3.6 or their plug-in for Visual Studio 2010.

    As a programmer I'm really disappointed in a business this way this long to release an SDK to the developer and not even are ready to be used with the latest tools.

    RIM has never been the fastest when it comes to development tools.

    A great tool that many people want is the GUI Builder, he announced last December, said he would come out mid-2010 (so ~ June) and we are still waiting.

    As annoying as it is, we are simply working around him, when it comes to our development time reduction but we still have options if the tool does not work or you don't like how it works.

  • Implementation of the updated code without having to restart the Simulator?

    I use Eclipse 3.5.1 with the plug-in of the BlackBerry Java 1.1.1 with the BlackBerry Java SDK 5.0.0.14.

    Running the BlackBerry Simulator works very well. However when I update my code and try to run or debug him again once I get the following error:

    "BlackBerry debugging session is already active. BlackBerry that a debugging session can be active at a given time. »

    If I close the Simulator, then I can run the updated as expected in a new Simulator code. However this slows me down because I have to wait 60 + seconds for the Simulator load to make my updated code can run.

    Is it possible to update the currently running program without restarting the Simulator?

    Debugs faster with a physical device?

    Thank you

    Drew

    No, at the 2009 BlackBerry Developer Conference they have demonstrated that the code of Hot-Swap, GUI Builder and cross-platform support using Eclipse and says that these features would come out of 2010 (from what I remember; GUI Builder-early 2010 but in another post, one of the devs RIM said they aim for mid-2010, Hot-Swap and cross-platform would be mid-2010). Patience and it will come... wish just time would go faster.

    Not exactly what goes wrong with your installation.

    In general JDeveloper 12.1.3 must be started with JDK 1.7

    You must also have 1.8 JDK on your machine, and the extension of the MAF will need to know its installed location.

    I suggest that you remove the system12.1.3 directory, and then re - install JDeveloper in a new location.

    When you install JDeveloper, if you use the installer of pot, make sure that start you with JDK 1.7.

    (Should be fine if install you using the exe file).

            noOfRooms =  numberIn;
            guests  = new GuestList(noOfRooms);
            // Graphics settings:
            setTitle("Hotel");
            setLayout(new FlowLayout());
           // etc. etc.
           // etc. etc.
           setVisible(true);
       }

        // A run method to delay the program opening:

        public void run()
        {
             try
             {
                  delayThread.sleep(10000);
             }
             catch(InterruptedException ie)
             {
                  ie.printStackTrace();
             }

        }
    Now, maybe a better way to do would be to go the setVisible of the manufacturer, the run method statement.
    Maybe there's something even better to produce a delay in the opening of the program.
    But I'm still curious why the main thread has been delayed by a delay in what is really a completely separate topic.
    Any ideas?

    Are you sure that show you all the relevant code? I think that, as is the case, the thread in sleep does nothing.

  • Installation of command line for plugins

    The way documented to install plugins Apex 4.0 is to use the GUI Builder.

    Is it possible to install a plugin by running a SQL file similar to the way a full application export produces a SQL file that can be used to install the application in a different database?

    Thank you

    Hello

    in fact, you should be able to do this with an application, you can export file. You can use the new package wwv_flow_application_install to change the workspace, the application id, and you may need to change the offset id so if you install it in many applications. See http://joelkallman.blogspot.com/2010/07/apexapplicationinstall.html for more details on this package.
