  I just purchased and installed a 240 GB INTEL SSD 530 Series hard drive in my machine of h8 - 1520t HP ENVY. The SSD is initialized and works very well.

  Both the original hard drive which is a TeraByte WDC WD10EZEX-60ZF5A0 and the SSD newly installed are installed and works very well.

  My goal now is to start from the SSD and move MS office and other applications for the SSD.

  I would appreciate help on what's the best method to move the Windows 8 (now updated to 8.1) from the original for the SSD hard drive and what it takes to set up to boot from SSD ENVY.

  Notes:

  The Intel SSD came with an acronis cloning tool they call software data migration-which is supposed to copy or clone everything, since the HDD through the original SSD - I'm willing to give that a try, but a bit hesitant as I don't know if it's the best solution, and I think still need to do something probably would change the settings in BIOS to boot then the SSD.

  You must change the boot order.  However, until the SSD starts successfully, you should unplug all other HARD drives.  I'd be happy to hear how it works.  Many brands of SSD requires changes to the BIOS.

  Hi - for compatibility with some software/hardware DAW, I need to install Win7 Pro on this PC. HP doesn't have drivers available. I think that the 1520t used to offer with Win7.   The motherboard is the same as indicated, BUT the jumper CMOS block illustrated on the Web page must be another block I watched card mother pictures of this model from EBay and they show the jumper in the position that you indicated.  There are two blocks.  There are two blocks of blue jumpers with the configuration pins as shown in the picture I posted.  I think that what the picture posted is saying leave the jumper on the right side block is and only move the jumper on the left side of the position shown, then again.  Just to clarify, there is a block under this block, we want, and who says "ROM_RECOVERY" and this block has a single rider together 1-2.  Jumper block we are debating is actually marked "CMOS-PW.

  I installed W8 if UEFI and everything worked well, have store 8.1 trough upgrade of windows, and I'm happy, all my stuff is working properly, is not going to install 10 tho... was good OS, but with all that is happening I will stay at 8.1, I put more money on fixing W10, they didn't even know what to do.

  I just bought a HP ENVY h8 - 1520t (product number: C9D47AV) yesterday. I did a clean install of windows 7 Ultimate edition (because Windows 8 does not support a lot of my software). After that I installed Windows 7, I can't connect to the internet.  My Device Manager shows that there is no driver for my network adapters, controller, PCI Simple Communications Controller, SM Bus controller and USB controller.

• Office using Intel h8 - 1520t with special configuration problems with HP Support Assistant 8.1

  Several days ago the wizard help notified me that I had to do an update review. It was an update Broadcom Bluetooth of a certain type. He had numbers, a slash and more after him.  I installed it.  He went through all the steps of installation, but not the last step.  Now, I get an error whenever I start up the computer indicating that BTtray.exe does not load and btwapi.dll is not found.  Initially, I had Windows 8 and upgraded to 8.1 shortly after buying the computer. I have a wireless network adapter N Premium and Bluetooth (R) (2 x 2).  The only wireless thing I use my keyboard and mouse. I don't use Bluetooth, I bought the Bluetooth with my new computer for possible future use. I can't get rid of this message at startup.

  In addition, since HP Support Assistant made this mess, I decided to uninstall it. I can't uninstall it.  I tried to reinstall what can or was not perhaps not a newer version and settle, tried to uninstall and couldn't.  The Support Assistant comes with the computer of Windows 8. The following issues have been resolved for btwapi.dll, BTTray.exe, 1316 network error and MSI error.  HPSA does not work in Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit.  Updates are not correct and I think that it is better to get updates.  Even the online hp scan does not work. Find your computer and peripherals, it fails to find updates for you.   I have my hp printer works very well and set up properly and he always tells me that I need an update that I have.  HPSA would be great if it worked. Interesting that somehow Windows Update picked up that my computer had been messed up and showed two updates that were made some time it y a. I reinstalled and no problem from that. Thank you.   On these new model desktop and laptop PC, you must type the ESC key at the beginning of the HP splash screen in order to get the list of menu options like the configuration of the BIOS F10, F9 boot options, etc.

  It does not matter at all.  Most video cards have only one of each type of connector.  The key is to use the appropriate adapter if necessary.  Furthermore, carefully follow the instructions in the guide.

  I recently bought a new desire and while I had originally planned on just using the 1 TB HDD as well as 16 GB of cache to boot the system, I decided to go with a 120 GB Samsung SSD 840 for where I want my OS to be.

  After reading a lot of posts and have tried to do it myself last night, I know it will be a pain.  I saw a few solutions on the forum I'll try tonight and I don't want to revisit old but I do not see anyone mentioned have a 16 GB SSD cache for the computer to start from.  Does make a difference in what I like?

  If I am able to well to clone the current HARD drive can I spend with the 16 GB Sandisk Disk Cache?  I can live with keeping the 16 GB startup disk, using the SSD 120 GB for my OS and find another use for the 1 TB HARD drive, but ideally, I would like to boot directly from the 120 GB SSD and use the HARD disk of 1 TB as additional storage space.

  It seems that the CMOS clear has failed the BIOS to values by default if your description of the problem is correct.

  1. Unplug the PC
  2. Remove the CMOS battery
  3. Move the CMOS jumper to the clear position.
