Halo 2 cursor movement of 64-bit Windows 7 without a mouse/keyboard

I run Halo 2 on Windows 7 64-bit (Intel Core2Duo and video OC nVidia X 260), with the MX Revolution from Logitech and Microsoft Wireless keyboard mouse. All drivers and patches are up to date.
I find that I'm still drifting forward without mouse and keyboard. I have to continue to use the "S" key to keep me in place, otherwise, I slide over the edge into the abyss.

Hi ijblack,

I suggest you to make Clean-boot and check if the problem persists. Some services program or the third party to start would be to ask this question. For more information on how to solve a problem using the clean boot, see the article mentioned in the link here.

Also I suggest to navigate through the links below and choose Halo to get various technical support options available in your area for any questions related to Microsoft Games.

  • try to move from 32-bit windows 7 to 64 bit

I have a server supermicro 32-bit with 4 GB of ram that I want to spend to 9 GB (3x2Go + 3X1Go) with little extra ram I have lying around.  what I understand reading on the internet, the product key does not differentiate between these versions of windows.

I divided my disk into two partitions and installed the 64-bit version to that empty via an iso of my Digital River or something like this (iso official microsoft) installed correctly, but when activation online, I said "the key to windows 7 home premium is invalid for activation."

So now I wonder if this problem is due to the fact that I have 2 OS running simultaneously, or if the product key is different between 32 and 64-bit windows.  I only have one hard drive, and no backup CD, while trying to have a backup plan didn't stop something like this happened.

You can use the same product key to switch to a different architecture (32 or 64-bit), even though its OEM on the same machine. As long as you have not both use at the same time, either on the machine, partition or another computer.

    INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS.

    a. one copy per computer. You can install one copy of the software on a single computer. This computer is "licensed computer.

    b. a computer license. You can use the software on up to two processors of the computer under license at some point. Except as provided in these license terms, you cannot use the software on any other computer.

    c. number of users. Except as provided in these license terms, only one user may use the software at a time.

    d. other Versions. The software may include several versions, such as 32-bit and 64-bit. You may install and use only one version at a time.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

  • Switch to Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit windows 7 without losing any files or programs

I am running Win7 32 bit on one of my hard drives, but wonder if I can install win7 64 bit for the slave drive, or if I pass on the slave master and start the new master drive with the 64-bit version.  I really don't want to format my drive and would like to keep me files and programs.  I read in a forum that you can partition the master drive and install the 64-bit on the partition and after that's done remove you area partitioned with the old version of 32-bit, allowing you to keep all the other information.  Please let me know what is my best option.

The first question is whether you have a 64-bit or 32 bit one processor.
If it is 32 bit, you cannot install a 64-bit version of Windows to
    all.

If by "any other information," you mean data files, Yes, there
possible to do something like what you say. But if you mean also
programs, may not do that. To run a program,
was installed under the copy of Windows you have started.

And even with regard to the data, I think it's easier to just do a
external backup of your data, and then pure install 64-bit Windows and
    Restore the backup to it.

And if your answer is perhaps that you have no procedures in place
to make regular external backups of important data for you, let
tell me that you are playing with fire. It is not a question of
    * If * you will lose all your data, it's only a matter of * when *.
    This will happen.

  • How can I move video files in windows Explorer without losing metadata in windows media player?

I'm under WMP 11 Vista.  I have a folder that contains the files in my video (AVI for example).  I organized videos in WMP by manually changing fields of tag for ratings, artists, genre, etc.  I would like to move some video files around in Explorer Windows (in the same drive that is monitored) to arrange my training and records.  When I do this, WMP loses track of the video file as the path is no longer correct, so I would like to add back to the library to help add to the library.  When I do that, the video appears in its new location, but all the metadata is missing.

Is it possible to move my AVI files to another directory without losing all the metadata, or are never supposed to video files be moved once their metadata has been published in WMP?  Can I enter the new path to the file in WMP or something and have it keep its metadata?  Or is there a way I can get WMP to store metadata on the AVI files as it does with WMVs?

It seems that there is something missing if metadata of media management is a core feature of WMP and be able to move files autour is a core feature of Windows Explorer, yet the two are not easily compatible.

I want to just move my video files without losing the work that I put in the metadata.

Also, what is the reason have advanced tag editor for music files and video files are not?

    Thanks in advance.

    It is not possible.

  • Strategy with hard drive 3 TB on 64-bit Windows 7 without UEFI

I have Windows7 64 bit running on an old motherboard which is prior to UEFI.  Now I just bought the 3 TB HD.

I read on MBR vs. GPT and understand that I don't have an option to boot from that disk hard if I go with TPG, the lack of support of UEFI.

I do not use this HD for the system.  However, I want to keep this as an option just in case.

A compromise is to use Seagate DiscWizard to created "extended partition".  Simply create a virtual device drive to access the Go 700 remaining after the 2.2 to is used.  Is it possible to control the first part of size?  Say, instead of 2.2 to 1.5 to use instead?

Someone said he overcame this limit.  http://jarrettbroder.blogspot.com/2012/07/overcoming-2TB-partition-size-limit-in.html

Someone at - there no success?  Or any other strategy?

    Thank you

  • HP desktop with 32-bit windows 7, can legally move to 64-bit with the same product key?

    Hi support them.

My scenario here is I have a few systems of HP Office under windows7 32-bit edition (version of windows by default), and now I need to upgrade to 64-bit windows 7 without getting a 64-bit win7 additional license, am I allowed to use the same product key on my 32-bit version to upgrade to 64-bit?

    Hello

Since this is a check of the product key OEM with HP Support for the media. You already have windows
Thus, it will be cheap. You can check that your system is running 64-bit at the same time.

  • Re: 64 - bit Windows 7 installation on Qosmio F60

    Hello
Then about a month ago I bought a Toshiba Qosimo F60, which gave me the choice when I first turned it on between 32 and 64-bit Windows 7.

Not knowing too much about the difference at the moment where I just took 32-bit but now after having read up on this issue, I realize that may have been a mistake...

What I want to know is if there's any way I can still install 64 bit Windows 7 without buying a CD
(Laptop did not come with one)
Don't know what the CD key no longer. ..

    Thank you.

    Hello

I m not 100% sure because my Qosmio F60 was delivered with Windows 7 64 bit only, but I have read in other threads that you can have the two recovery disk (32 and 64 bit) when you start Toshiba Recovery Media Creator. This tool will create recovery disks bootable for your laptop with the effigy of factory settings.

Can you please start this tool and check if it creates the disk recovery for both versions?

When I use my mouse on the line, the cursor movement is very slow and jerky. Unplayable.

I was looking for a patch for the game or suggestion on how to correct adjust them.  I tried the option in game of adjustment of moving the mouse, but it did not help.

  • My mouse cursor disappears randomly everything using Windows 7 64 bit

Original title: the mouse cursor disappears

My mouse cursor disappears randomly everything using Windows 7 64 bit.  This can occur when you use IE8, but also other programs.  I have to reboot to get it back.  This seems to be a common problem.  Is there a solution?

    Thank you

Have you installed Windows 7 device drivers for your make and model. If this is not the case, then go to the support web site factory and download Windows 7 drivers to a folder on your PC and then first install the drivers for the card mother/chipset, followed by USB, SATA, LAN, Audio and all other pilots.

Also check the download site of the manufacture of the graphics card for the latest Windows 7 drivers for your card.

  • In Windows 7, why cursor moves when you type, causing need to return the position of the cursor?

After inserting the cursor to start typing, the cursor moves frequently on his own.  This translates into the need to reposition the cursor and enter again before continuing to type.  I can't believe such a lack of basis occurs in the new product, but I can't work out how to remedy.

I also noticed that other measures be taken before I even clicked or pressed enter, taking me where I want to be far away.  I own a computer using XP Professional and have never experienced this problem.  Only since I use my friends laptop installed with Windows 7 I just through that.

I'm not sure I want to upgrade to Windows 7 if it is so cumbersome to work with.

Everyone has noticed this and how is it fixed?

    Thanks much, Jeanette

    Hello Jessen P

Have you looked at drivers as you suggest.  As a result, it became obvious that my friend had not installed the mouse trackball with the software provided with the mouse.  It has been installed.  Cursor action now seems stable.  Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction.

    Kind regards

    Jeanette

    Hello

I don't know why it would be... does show the taskbar when you are on the desktop?

As a last resort, you can try the "turn system icons on or" and "restore default icon behaviors."

The parameter "turn system icons On or Off ' applies only to the taskbar...

  • cursor moves irregularly... typing very difficult because it moves independently running programs...

Let me look at what I've done.

    • I had to reformat my hard drive.  I rebooted my Windows Vista (Home Basic) and made Windows updates on a daily basis.
    • Cursor of the laptop worked very well.  Now, after reformatting, my cursor will move... he can move at the beginning of the sentence or at the end of the paragraph, or even a response, send button or turn off the page completely.  It is random.  Cursor movement happen everywhere... online on a site, the same wrote this question and it happens if I use word, excel, or Notepad too.
    • I typed slowly, being careful NOT to communicate with the touchpad while typing.  Despite this, the cursor will always flow.
    • I tried to make changes in the settings of the control panel mouse and touchpad settings.   That didn't work... actually, I can't even find the touchpad settings more.  In the mouse property settings, I tried the options for "click lock" and "pointer options"... that does not work either.
    • I was at a loss, so even if I don't have a mouse attached via the USB port, I have updated the mouse only driver files that I see.  I've updated the two sets of files for driver for the keyboard and the mouse and nothing has changed.

    Any ideas?

Cursor Alps touchpad very well, œuvres just need to fix the movements and scrolling.

I know this is an older laptop that came with XP Pro, but I wanted to extend the life of it and everything works fine with the new installation of 32-bit Windows 8 Pro.

    Thanks in advance!

    Solved!

Google "alps touchpad driver for windows 8" & after trying a few, the following fixed my touchpad scroll (he also added additional Win8 functions, such as edge shot left for the bar of charms, etc..):

    http://kurtsh.com/2012/09/16/download-Alps-touchpad-driver-for-Windows-8-for-Lenovo-G360/

I had to remove the already installed driver first via Add/Remove Programs (like her whining on would not find Alps version, or something like that), then installed the new driver & restarted.

Although the new driver for lenovo, it worked great for my HP dv4000 (p/n PC253AV).
