Hard disk changes to 100 percent in time!

I don't know why, but after having installed windows 8 in my laptop (which is more then capable of handling it)... The use of HARD drive is 100% or 40-60% on the normal use... I checked the Task Manager and found one thing to use more memory is the system to 40 MB... But that's all... There seems to be a lot of people, but I can't seem to find a solution for this. :(

  • Browse the contents of the hard disk of the target in real time

    Hello

Is there an easy way to browse the content of the hard drive on a real-time target by using the file path control (or another type of control)?

What I have in my application is a PC real-time desktop (running on PharLap) who has a Main.vi running on it. There are a few configuration files (for this VI) I want to be able to read and record to that would be stored on the hard drive of the target in real time. However, when the application runs and I hit the Browse button, it displays the contents of the Windows machine and not the machine in real time. Is there something I'm missing?

Please note that I can send via FTP on the Windows computer to the target in real time and can interact with the drive of the target in real time without any problem.

    Thank you.

  • To transfer the old backups Time Machine from a hard disk external to the airport in Time Capsule

Is it possible to transfer the old Time Machine backups from my external hard drive to Time Capsule airport?

Having done this in the past, I can say that it is possilble... but is not anywhere near the amount of time and effort it will take to do this.

Even when I was successful, Time Machine has started a new backup of the Mac... it has not added on the old existing backups, so I lost a good part of the backup on the Time Capsule space.

This will be easier if you keep just on the hard drive for a few months... in case you need to go back and pick up a file... While the time Capsule built a new story backups tons.  After 3 to 6 months, you will not need the old backups, and you can erase the disc and use it as a spare part.

If you want to try it anyway... see this article: http://pondini.org/TM/18.html

  • Portege A100: Change the new HARD disk in slave mode?

Hello, I have a portege a100 laptop, I want to buy a Dvd for my laptop burner and one in mind, even if I need to put my hard drive in slave mode first, that the dvd drive is set as master.
My hard drive model is MK1032GAX, could someone tell me that it is possible to do so, before buying the dvd burner to 100%.

    Hello

To my knowledge it s is not possible. The technology of the laptop is different, and you can't compare it with the desktop PC.
As far as I know, the settings are fixed and you cannot change it. I think that the HARD disk controller is set master and you need to buy a compatible CD/DVD player.
Player settings are different and the Toshiba service partner can give you more details about compatible CD/DVD players.

  • How to change or remove a password hard disk on Tecra M9

Hi, I have a Tecra M9. I put a password for hard drive just to try. Now I want to remove or change. I have the hard drive password. PC ask me psw hard drive each time you start. What is the procedure to remove or change? Toshiba Assist cannot give me any option to change it. Can someone help me? Thank you and sorry for my English...

The HARD drive password can be removed by using security help.

Using the BIOS SETUP, tab of the HARD drive password section which should appear as follows:
    HARD drive password
HARD = built-in HARD disk drive
HARD drive password mode = USER only
    Registered = user password

In the field "User password" tab and just enter the old password and then a new twice (once to check) as you normally would.
If you don't want a password, simply press "enter" twice

  • How to change Pavilion DV2000 hard drive? What brand/size of the hard disk works?

I have a Pavilion dv2000 I bought in 2006 (waaay out of warranty).

My current (original) hard drive is completely filled. It is 80 GB. Fujitsu SATA

I tried to upgrade the hard drive me. I bought a Western Digital SATA 250 GB hard drive is cloning kit.
The kit seemed to do what he was supposed to, but when it was time to put the new drive in, I ran into problems.

Do not match the connectors on the ends upwards. Metal "teeth - like ' connector end face on the new hard drive instead of to the bottom." (I couldn't find another way to navigate the hard drive cradle to get the connectors to face down so that they connect with the rest of the computer.

Predictable when I tried to boot up the laptop, it wouldn't read the new hard drive. So I put the old hard drive in and that's what I use now as I type.
The old hard drive did not fit into the cloning kit which makes me think that this hard drive configuration is obsolete and this laptop can not be upgraded at all, which sucks considering how much $$$ I've spent on this equiptment upgrade...

I can't find info on internal hard disk of purchases on the HP website. Anyone know what new hard drive will work in this old laptop?

    Thank you for helping!

I found the answer. It turns out that my computer is so old that about a year after I bought it, HP changed the configuration of HDD on their laptops all line of Pavilion in the future. The HD config in my laptop is now part of a line that was interrupted for more than 2 years. This old line goes only up to into space at 120 GB if you can find an old still sold online. Retailers do not sell them more.

And I can't use the clone HD product that I bought since my hard drive is obsolete and does not.

So I'm pretty much stuck with what I have now. It's not worth the hassle. I'm going to do with this for a year (with an external hard drive), and then get a new machine.

    Please help guys!

  • Windows Boot Manager, I want to change the Configuration of hard disk

I have a computer with two former 500 GB Hard Drives.  The "Legacy" operating system is installed on the first physical hard disk in the system and Windows 7 is installed on the second physical hard disk, they are the identical WD drives.  I bought a new Seagate Barracuda 1000 GB drive, I want to use in place of the mark.

    So currently I have:

    SATA-0, score 0: Legacy 500 GB OS

    SATA-5, score 0: 500 GB Windows 7

With the new player, I want to:

    SATA-0, score 0: Legacy 500 GB OS

    SATA-0, Partition 1: 500 GB Windows 7

I have disk imaging software, able to copy both disks to the new partitions on the new disk.  What I want to know is how can ensure me that I continue to get the start menu to see the two operating systems.

Of course, I will still have the old hard disks available, and I can always put them in.  It's just that the cloning process takes a long time, and I would like to have my procedure in advance.  The first time I have start the system with the 1 TB drive, it will not be a disk of 500 Go SATA-5, score 0: in the computer.  I don't know which files must be modified to search for Windows 7 in the new location.

I shouldn't need to do a reinstall of windows.  I think I found the answer to what I was looking elsewhere.

I remember that two years ago, when I set up the Dual boot system, I followed these instructions:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/8057-dual-boot-installation-Windows-7-XP.html

When I did, I had a dual boot menu:

    -Old Version of Windows

    -Windows 7 Professional

Of course I meant "Windows XP" rather than "earlier Version of Windows.  I searched and found that a tool exists to modify this menu.  I don't remember what they called the tool when I presented this request.  I was pretty sure that the tool would allow me to have the change of start menu where he sought the installation of Windows7.

Today, I found the name of the tool, it is called BCDEDIT. EXE.  It allows you to safely edit the menu file, and startup locations resemble the old file boot.ini of Windows NT days.  Here's what the tool then generates on the command line.

    Windows Boot Manager

I'm using Time Machine (1 TB), works very well, but because full starting to delete previous backups. Can I add another (LaCie 1 TB) HARD disk for backups? If so, how to proceed. Thank you!

You can add another drive to accept backups Time Machine... assuming it is correctly formatted for Mac to Mac OS extended (journaled), but things are not exactly "continue."

You have not indicated if you intend to add the player to the USB port on the Time Capsule, or connect directly to your computer using USB or FireWire connections. Or the other method works, with the option to connect directly to the computer being the faster connection.

Once the disc is added, you would go in Time Machine preferences (click the "clock" at the top of the screen on your Mac) to add the disk for Time Machine backups and delete the old Time Capsule disk, since backups will go is no longer this destination.

Since you have a new drive, Time Machine will do a new full backup of your Mac and then go forward with incremental backups.

  • How to change the letter on the external HARD disk

My drive external hard was originally on drive F, and with that, I got all my music iTunes also. However, for some reason, my computer stopped recognizing the F drive; the following message appears when you try to open this drive:

"The drive or network connection that designates the shortcut 'F Drive.ink' is not available. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available and then try again. »

The problem I have now is that the external hard drive is now the G disk and iTunes does not recognize the path (G:\iTunes), I say to use, for example, my music is not loading properly and that a fraction is playable.

Can someone help me with this?

    Hello

I would recommend to change the external drive (g) to F letter.
Do you know how to do this?

After the external HARD disk is connected, you need to access the disk management and you will see the HARD drive (unique partitions) and other readers.
Then you must mark the external HARD disk and should change the letter F.

Perhaps the letter F was reserved for another drive.
In this case, you need to unlock the letter F by assigning another letter to the reader that uses the letter F.

You can do it. No problem at all. Hard drives are not specific model of laptop parts and with hard drives is important compatibility.
On the new laptop, which you can use different hard drives. Important is that use you compatible HARD drive.

Just do it. After Exchange of HARD drive install Os again and everything will be OK.

  • How to change the application installed HARD disk?

    My PC following setting:

C: is for Window XP OS

    D: is installed application

because the disc is not enough space and need to buy a new SATA III HARD disk after formatting under drive Z:

I copy everything in D: z: readers and I would exchange the disks for the following parameter:

D: old drive will become Z: drive for backup

Z: old disk will become D: drive for installed application, because many applications and installed adjustment use the D: drive for application, so I'd like to preserve the D: drive for application, but I get no idea on how to swap the disks.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?
