Computer laptop while still not trying to boot. Of course, it is out of warranty now. What can I do to fix it and make acept to boot from the DVD again? I don't want perair service because it wil cost us money. This product should work in the first place. We had so many bad experience with lenovo with this laptop that I won't buy another their product more.

  If you have a usb key 4 GB you might try to put 10 on which windows and the installation of it, if you do not have a cd key for windows 10 installation I think also there is an option to skip this part that your pc should already be activated with microsoft

  I bought a copy of MS Office 2010 as an employee federal under a special program, directly from Ms.  Recently I'm retired and in the process of my drive hard is no longer operational.  I reload windows 7 on new hard drive.  I lost most of my installed programs, the recorded files were on the backup drive.  Now I need to put MS Office back up and running, but can't seem to find the discs all over all my My packed boxes.  Is it possible to return to MS and get another copy or make a download of MS Office 2010.  Or should I just go buy another version?  I plan move from MS to Apple, just because of all the problems that I had to get the backup and running programs.  The games were a total loss and is not the worst of it, my SW work was a pain in the neck.  Please help if you can.

• Satellite Pro L300 29V - hard drive is dead

  I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-29V only about 2 months, and suddenly the hard drive (very full) is apparently dead.

  Initially the laptop starts Windows correctly, but now the HD is not yet recognized in the BIOS. If it goes beyond the Toshiba splash screen, I get the thing PXE saying "a cable is unplugged. I tried to re-allocation of places the reader twice, but still nothing.

  It's really disturbing, because I had transferred recently practically my whole LIFE on it on other computers which many many many hours of musical recordings that I can't really afford to lose.

  I think I'll have to buy a HD dock and see if I can read and copy the data.

  I should also mention that a day or two before this happened, my girlfriend was using etc. Open Mobile (Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word,) - computer I pressed the power button that normally makes hibernate - and when I turned it back, rather than resume where he left off, the computer started from zero and no work/windows were saved.

  First of all, I must say that I have this Satellite L300 too. But I didn t have no problem, the HARD drive works fine for 1.5 years and I use this laptop for Internet and emails everyday. I m very satisfied.

  I hope that you can copy your data to another device and you will need a new HARD drive for your Satellite Pro L300. That's fact!

  I have a Toshiba 320 GB external hard drive E04X. After 12 months (just as the warranty runs out-confidence) I plug my hard drive true to find that it is totally inadmissible. the light does not appear, there is no rattling, it will not register on my or other computers and all that jazz. Basically, it is totally dead. However there are some stuff here I need grade 12 and he reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally would help me if I could get this hard drive work.

• Equium A300D - maybe my HARD drive is dead

  I bought my Equium A300D (I think it's the correct model anyway) of PC World in the year September last after the death of my old laptop on me (fried hard drive because of the processor cooling fan break).

  The old laptop, has produced some sounds strange whirring/screeching sometimes for a few months, but I'd rather foolishly ignored it thinking it was just a fan who wasn't quite to the right or something - in hindsight to make a good decision!

  My Equium was fine until I turned on this morning and found that he formulated the horrible familiar screeching/whirring sound and I turned off again pretty quickly.

  It's not impossible My HDD makes a completely dead before it too strange noise.
  It was a good idea that you have backup your data. In this case you could always recover the data if the HARD drive would really die.

  If you want to get the HARD drive replaced and want to use the warranty, then you should contact the ASP (certified partner) in your country.
  Qualified service technician can replace the defective hardware, a free game.
