HARD need recovery disk crash

I had HARD drive crash this morning and I need to get some of my documents.   If there is any good data recovery software available to break the hard disk crash, then please suggest me a

Thank you...

If the information below doesn't work, you may need to contact the data recovery experts.

Data recovery:

1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Download the Vista software from the link above.
After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
See you soon.
  • New hard drive - recovery disks
    Hello
    I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3230us running windows 7(64 bit). I was thinking of upgrading my hard drive to an SSD and I was wondering if I could use recovery discs to reinstall Windows 7 and all drivers. I have a new copy of Windows 7 Professional I could use and went to the site of HP driver but don't know what all that I have to download to get everything to work. I saw that there is an option to order recovery media and I was wondering if that would do the same and bring the computer back as the first day I bought it without having to use my copy of Windows 7 Pro me.
    Hello:
    Unless you buy the same size (in GB) SSD, as your original hard drive, recovery disks do not work.
    What I suggest to users in your situation is the following:
    Copy the your C:\ drive SWSetup folder to a portable storage device.  Take a look here because it should contain all the program and driver installation files to install on your PC. Some of the installation of the program files will not be considered on the assumption of your laptop and driver page.
    If you have trouble finding drivers, just click on all devices that appear in the device with a little yellow Manager! mark.
    Then after material ID for them, and we can let you know that you need to install drivers.
    If you don't know how to find the hardware device ID, please read the info at the link below.
    If you don't want to lose your windows 7 license pro on your PC, you can make your own drive of W7 premium family if you can read the product key of MS 25 characters on the bottom of your PC.
    Here's how:
    If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.
    Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.
    Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.
    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool
    Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.
    The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.
    Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.
    Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.
    If Vista is preinstalled, you will have problems with recovery of a manufacturer Disk/Partition as drivers for the old Mobo will be loaded.
    And you have also found in problems of licenses if you upgraded your Motheerboard, unless you have a license of Vista retail.
    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .
    There is no Vista free download legal available.
    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Forget this Option in your case.
    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
    They will tell you how to do this.
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
  • Satellite Pro A120 - I need recovery disk
    Accidentally all trying to clear up my computer deleted user accounts and so XP has been totally screwed and wouldn't let me in, even the administrator account it says did not exist (which I think is impossible), so I gave up and did a hard drive erase computer that I was about to throw in the trash as a lost cause...
    SO, what I really need, is the disc of recovery for Toshiba Satellite Pro A120, I very foolishly went and lost (look around these forums, it seems I'm not the only one!).
    Anyway, the computer running Windows XP Professional and the laptop model number is: PSAC0E-006008EN
    VERY ANNOYINGLY TOSHIBA NO LONGER SUPPORT LAPTOP DISKS OR TO SELL FOR HER RECOVERY!
    (I hope that is read by an employee of Toshiba!).
    Can anyone help or suggest where to get a recovery disc please? I tried Ebay and multiple searches on google but no assets came.
    Message was edited with a mug shot by: jonbad
    By the way, can someone please explain why Toshiba offer all the necessary drivers for the operating system if they do not provide you with the operating system itself - i.e., they give you a disk image which has already drivers preinstalled on it... Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, unless you had to find your own copy of windows XP, which probably won't be not work with the serial key Toshiba windows XP first and then try and download and install each driver? I do not.
    Hello
    I think that you have tried to order the recovery disk by using the online store of recovery site.
    You will not be able to order using this service, because the only Vista recovery disc could be ordered using this service.
    In your case, I would ask an ASP in your country for this disc.
    And notes; There are more FSA in your country as only.
    Then perhaps you should contact several service points.
  • Satellite P100-286 - need recovery disk
    I need help in the search for a recovery disc like the one I had when I brought my laptop as my other broke and I still could find everywhere: (.)
    Bad, I need to reformat my hard drive and I have very little experience in these things, then it would be great if someone could point me in the right direction: D.
    Hello!
    If you need a new recovery disk ask your nearest ASP (authorized service provider). The recovery disc can t be downloaded and if you lost it you have to pay for a new.
    You can also format your portable computer with the Microsoft installation disc and then download and install all the drivers from the Toshiba site, but if you have little experience in these things would be recovery disc the best way.
    Since the machine is way out of warranty, HP wants to take on talk.
    I'm so hosed. What I have to buy a more recent OS and hope, or is there another solution that I can keep Vista.
    Thank you
    PatinTX
    Hi pantinx,
    Welcome to the forums of hp. Thank you for your query.
    Sorry to hear about the difficulty you have had with your upgrade.
    Unfortunately in your old hard drive, there was a recovery sector all installed at the factory of hp information.
    The recovery disk works on your computer with your old hard drive.
    Option 1 Source disc Vista Home Premium (from Microsoft or HP)
    In order to solve your problem, you will need to get an original family premium vista disk or disk of vista Home premium with SP2 or the vista disk .iso image Home premium with Service Pack 2.
    * An ISO image is a file to archive an optical disc, a type of disk image composed of the contents of each sector of an optical disc, including the disc writing optical file systemdata *.
    Get the product key from the back of your computer.
    Insert the diskette into the computer or use the tool microsoft usb/dvd tool to create an iso image of the cd or choose the iso file on computer.
    Create a bootable USB drive or use the original disc.
    Run.
    Enter the product key.
    Option 2 install a new OS (Windows 7)
    Follow the steps for installing in link.
    I hope this helps. I am taking the floor for me and not for HP.
  • Pavilion g6-1319TX: I need recovery disks
    Hi, had problems with my laptop that works evil and all kinds of problems. I decided to re - install the software to the factory settings when I bought the laptop. I have a new set of recovery disks that I received from HP back then, and I had never used. I started the recovery and the first disk formatted the hard drive and installed the software, and then he asks disc number two. I loaded the second disc and the program on board for a short period, and then informed me that there is an error and the installation program has been cancelled by the program itself. I tried many times, but the same problem happen, now I don't have a working computer. I need software to recover my laptop, if you can please advise.
    Run material from BIOS diagnostics to confirm that everything is still OK.
    Try cleaning the DVD if it helps any:
    In case your recovery partitions is intact, repeatedly press the F11 key at startup to enter the Recovery Manager if it still works.
    If is possible the recovery disks you have are corrupted and you need to get new ones.
    If you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144 and see if you can still get a set of recovery disks.  Otherwise the site worldwide: http://welcome.hp.com/country/w1/en/support.html
    I need a hard drive and a recovery disk.  Any hard drive works?   In addition, the recovery disks are still available?
    Geekster, do you have any recommendations as to where I could buy a recovery disk?
    0Seeker1340, welcome to the forum.
    Yes, you can use any SATA drive of the computer.  I suggest buying a 500 GB drive, 7200 RPM.  This will give you a lot of space.
    Here's a guide to get recovery discs if they are available:
    I would be surprised if they are available, however.  There are sites online that sell older HP recovery discs.
  • How to free space on the hard drive recovery disk?
    My J: drive (recovery) is near capacity after a reinstall of Windows 7. How to clear space on this drive?
    Hi John R H,
    The purpose of the training of recovery is to store all the files needed to do disaster recovery, when the system becomes unstable. The recovery disk is actually a partition on the hard drive of your computer - not a real physical disk. There is much less space than other drives. If you use the recovery disk to store files (such as backup files), the reader is full quickly and can cause serious problems when you need to use the system recovery.
    Note: Do not store files on the recovery drive. The only files on the recovery disk should be linked to a system recovery.
    I have a Toshiba Tecra A11 and had a problem with the operating system, so a friend offered to fix it for me, when he said fix what it meant try and install completely wrong Windows 7, but at the same time destroy the removal of the partition, all built in Windows 7 pro installation.
    So now I need a file or a CD specific boot to a USB key. Anyone know where I can get one or download one without having to pay 35 quid for a new Toshiba?
    Thank you
    Tom
    Recovery file cannot be downloaded. Toshiba offer as only recovery disk. Download an iso file won't help you much because you will not be able to start the recovery image installation.
    Either you find someone who has the same Tecra and use its disk or you must order one on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
  • Satellite A300 - need recovery disk
    Hello
    I bought a Toshiba Satellite A300 with Windows Vista pre installed, but I did not receive any CD or DVD with Vista. I have just a sticker with the CD key on the back of the laptop.
    I installed Windows XP for personal reason and now I want to reinstall Windows Vista by using the HDD Recovery folder.
    Can I install or I should have done a DVD with Vista?
    Thank you
    Sorry, but now you are not able to install Vista with HARD drive recovery. HARD drive recovery can only be used on a system Windows Vista installed XP doesn t support this function.
    Your mistake was that you didn't burn the recovery disk with Vista Toshiba recovery disc creator, and now, you are not able to burn it.
    The only way to return Vista is the recovery disk, and now you have to order it on the site of Toshiba or an authorized service provider.
