Has anyone tried to load 5 ESXi on a HP Z620?

If someone tried to load any version of ESXi on HP Z620?

This is a new workstation that is supposed to be an upgrade of the previous Z600, but it has several improvements, so I was wondering if it is supported, because it would make for a less costly solution than to have to buy a Proliant server...

Yes, I finally got one of these workstations and they ROCK, as they have USB 3.0 and a bunch of other options, but unless you work for Pixar or somebody Runnin' software for modeling 3D FULL-ON then it's exaggerated for a regular work...

Anyway, I didn't just install Windows Server so I decided to try VMware ESXi on this machine, so I could use it as a development server, and I can still RDP in my own work space.

So maybe this will help others, but the HP Z620 works with:

ESXi 5.0

5.1 ESXi

I loaded two versions and they work very well, so feel SAFE a purchase as you possibly can it discharge as a makeshift virtual host...

I'll try to get my hands on a next muhahaha, Z800, and Z820...

    Hello

The CW3DGraph is an ActiveX control. This article on MSDN provides steps on how to host a custom ActiveX on WPF: MSDN Walkthrough: hosting an ActiveX control in WPF

The procedure step by step uses Windows Media Player for example, but it still serves as a useful reference.

  • Has anyone tried a 8GB SODIMM in DV6ZSE?

I have a HP DV6ZSE (3200 DV6Z CTO Select Edition) - map mother AMD M880 G, PhenomII x 2 cpu.  Even though I know that the original specifications list 8GB (4GBx2) as the ram max, the material must be able to run the 16 GB (8GBx2).  I don't know if the BIOS will allow this, however.

Has anyone tried one or two sticks 8 GB in this motherboard?  I am currently using BIOS F28.

Before ask you, I am a heavy user of Photoshop and Lightroom and know that I can use close to the 16 GB that I have on my desk when you work on HDR or panoramic using several large RAW files and layers.

Since I don't have all the answers from anyone who has actually tried 8 GB sticks in this type of Mo, I decided to try it myself.  I bought a kit dual channel:

    CORSAIR 16 GB (2 x 8G) 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 computer laptop memory model CMSO16GX3M2A1333C9

and it turns out it works.  A small "bug" is that the BIOS displays only 4 digits of the size of the memory, displaying "6384MB" instead of "16384 MB", but all the 16 GB are recognized and used.

  • Has anyone tried to 'fit' the site Wizard form?

I want to add some additional fields to the basic shape - someone has already tried this at all?

If you really want to learn then look in tutorial that explains the treatment involved compared with the help of an Assistant. You want to learn or you want someone to simply create the form for you and make it work? Usually, you would use her bute to atrri name of the field in the form to send the POST value to the script to deal with an email. Then form field with name = 'something' turn into a variable in php like this:

    $something = $_POST ['something'];

Then in the php script you can concatenate the vairable $something in the content of your message. For your example if you had a form field with a name of something, then you would declare the variable in php and add it to your body of the message as follows:

    $messageproper =
"This message has been sent: \n".

"It's the value of the form field something: $something\n.
    "$http_referrer\n".
    "------------------------------------------------------------\n" .
    "Name of sender: $fullname\n.
    "The email of sender: $email\n.
    "------------------------- COMMENTS -------------------------\n\n" .
    WordWrap (MAX_LINE_LENGTH, "\n", $comments, true).
    "\n\n------------------------------------------------------------\n" ;

    Season to taste.

  • Has anyone tried Vmware workstation on Server 2011 definition

I was going to try to do this with windows seven but I was wondering if someone has? I know that some people have set 2011 as a virtual machine, but I was wondering if anyone has done the opposite? All comments if you did would be appreciated

Yes.  I installed 8 WS on SBS 2011 of course the host Windows version. - and created Windows and Linux hosts

I also installed SBS as guest on Windows and Linux hosts.  Don't forget to install SBS as a guest that you must set a maximum size of hard for your o SBS 2011 VM 160 GB. It will start as 20 GB or so on your host and expand when you add functions, the roles of programs and data.  You already know this size with an SBS host requirement.

  • Has anyone tried synchronous call ADF ADF Services BC

Citing synchronously one ADF business components an Application of Oracle ADF - 11 g Release 5 (11.1.5) Service

One tried the above method and when to use the approach described above and when not use.

Please also let me know the advantages and disadvantages of the use of the approach described above and alternatives.

    Thank you.

    Hello

It is if you need to invoke an ADF BC as a service from an ADF BC or ADF application it is co-located. In this case that a Java call is issued instead of a WSDL call. The recommendation not to use a JAX - WS proxy applies only in a situation where the Web Service and application using this resident on the same server or deployment. To use this code, you must set on the project client library of your. The client JAR is one of the JAR files created during deployment of the ADF BC service. There are 3 uses of the ADF BC Services

1 remote use via references WSDL (JAX - WS)

    2. press on SOA (such as objects SDO using remite JNDI calls)

    3. local access via JNDI search premises, then access to the Java services

The model is documented for the Oracle Applications and I do not see many uses of this outside of Oracle applications. Outside the Oracle Applications, the use of the access of JAX - WS is more common

  • VMware 3.0 or 3.5: will it work with the following equipment?  Has anyone tried it? I want to try HA and all the whistles...

H1. VMware 3.0 or 3.5: will it work with the following equipment?

2 x G2 Compaq DL380 5i cards controller 5300 AND attached to the case STORAGEWORKS ENCLOSURE 4354R RM DOUBLE U3 PORTS (not on the compatibility list) basic storage

    OR

2 x G1 s Ml570 without card 5i but rather 5300 controller cards (in the compatibility list) connected to

U3 PORTS(not on compatibility list) DOUBLE table of STORAGEWORKS ENCLOSURE 4354R RM storage box

Although not of your configurations are a list of compatibility, it should work, but don't expect to have the fast system (this is the Pentium III). There is a problem with the connection box to two servers. If you do this, that a single server can access 7 disk, and the other will be able to access the other 7.

If the Smart Array controller is listed, you do not have to worry too much for speaker. You must use ITS 5300 with two lanes in both configurations (case being double bus, so you have two SCSI cables), or you can connect to a server to one bus SCSI and another server to the second SCSI bus. Whatever you choose to do, ORCA allows to configure the drive HARD and RAID.

I would not recommend to use this system in a production environment (it's slow and old), for testing it should be OK.

I have (for testing purposes) DL380 G3 with MA8000 storage and it works without a single problem.

  • Has anyone installed Ubuntu netbook remix 9.04

Last weekend, I downloaded and installed the beta version of UNR 9.04 on a USB key. Had a quick play with it on the Toshiba and it seemed to work OK in addition to being unable to scroll with the touchpad, I think it's related to this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/315882.

I wanted to install the new version until I was happy that everything would work OK. Has anyone tried to install 9.04?

    Hello

I didn't test a new version 9.04 but why you n t try just the newest pilot of the synaptic touchpad
I mean its worth to try an I doubt a new version of the touchpad driver would cause serious problems
So it of certainly worth a try
