  So if I understand correctly, you have already checked if the Volume Shadow Copy - service is on?

  If not, go to 'Services' (start-> type "services.msc" in the search bar and press ENTER.)
  Scroll down to "Volume Shadow Copy", double click it and check the startup type. It must be manually or automatically. If it is disabled, then change it to manual or automatic.

  Your model of laptop is not delivered with the recovery disk, but with recovery image stored on the HARD drive. In s manuals document clearly describes that you must fund recovery DVD only tool preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator.

  Version of the OS pre-installed (Toshiba recovery image factory settings) is definitely authentic and I really don t understand how it can happen. I mean thousands of people do the same update, and there is no other claim on similar problems.

  This will remove all HARD drive, extract second partition so if you have some important data backup.

Now, I got freaked out still am cause I can't afford to buy a new OS. but I digress, so panicked I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what to do. The windows updates all the time. I let go for a walk to clear my head and when I got home... ALL WAS GOOD the authentic not been deleted and everything was fine. UNTIL I turned the PC and came back later (literally like im this announcement) I need a fix, cause I can not afford to buy a new key, let alone will not buy something that was legally bought and paid for. If someone can tell me what I need to, I need to provide to you guys to help me would be appreciated.

  PS. I would phone validation but I have a terrible speech impediment so I do not talk on phones to cause a problem would take hours to solve in 15 minutes. ;\

  Check with the manufacture of the computer to see if you have a "recovery partition" and how to use it to restore XP or if they still have the support of Windows XP available with they can send you to usually a small fee.

  I don't think that SuperFetch is not activated is your problem. Two things you can try are nondestructive a "clean boot" and a "repair installation".
