Has no start-up Test

Hello my computer was blacking out before commissioning. I run a Start Up Test and received the message
DST short: failure
ID 0TQKP1-54D67N-XD003G-60VB03 FAILURE
PRODUCT ID WQ637UA #ABA

I am owner of a Pavilion dv7 - 4087cl laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. I had very similar problems to the person in the following post: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Recovery/Failed-Start-Up-Test/td-p/1058575. After following the instructions in this post, I ran a test on my hard drive in the BIOS and the full hard drive obtained at 24% test and gave me the message "hard drive 1 full [305]" I'm not sure what it means, and I know that my hard drive is full far. Help, please.

The full hard drive 1 error means that the drive failed.

It's time to replace the drive with a new one. Use the set of recovery disks or USB recovery media that you created to return the laptop to the State wherever it was when it was delivered to you.

Is your laptop still under warranty? Check the status of the guarantee.

    Error 303 would indicate a hard drive failure, so it must be replaced.

    It is a simple piece of hardware to change, but first you will need to contact HP and arrange for a new hard drive you sent under warranty - you normally pay a small deposit, which will be refunded when you return the HARD drive has failed.

    My Portege A100 has suddenly started to freeze without valid reason.

    It has also hurt to turn sometimes blue light appears on the disc hard turns, but not much happening and the screen remains empty.

    First time poster so hope im in the right place!

    My L300D has recently started to freeze on me, he's about right start. If I move the screen slightly it will unlock and I can work on it, but is likely to freeze again with any movement of the laptop, so the constant movement of the screen to thaw it is a bit annoying that you can imagine!

    I used compressed air to remove dust from the fans because it had seemed as if it was overheating, but that made no difference.

    Is there something simple I am missing or is this tendency to freeze a symptom of the beginning of the end for my laptop?
    If anyone has any experience of this / tips for getting on it, it would be well appreciated.

    I never heard of this issue, but maybe the problem is with the LCD cable... Such a cable wouldn t be expensive and you can get it from an authorized service provider. Also guys can redeem you.

    I have an Equium P300-16 t.
    First it wouldn't start, just the media & power led lights.

    Found that the upper ram module no longer works.
    With only of ram in the computer laptop lower slot will start. Test different combinations of modules, but unit will not start with the lower module filled.

    At least it starts I thought, but now after the toshiba screen, I now get a screen asking me a bios password.
    Research on the web, I see that it is a random problem.
    The unit is out of warranty.

    Unfortunately, it seems that the laptop calling you the BIOS password (don't know why) who is not known to you
    In this case, you should ask a technician using ASP.
    The guy was able to remove unknown BIOS password by using a special procedure.

    As far as I know it of not possible to remove unknown BIOS password without help from ASP.

    (a) you can try to arrange for a Windows XP disk that corresponds to the same edition, as it is installed on your machine.

    (b) thereafter, follow this link & check if you are able to start correctly on the desktop.
