• I have a weird problem: the characters used by Firefox to render the text of the interface itself (menus, menus, bookmarks, boxes pop up, etc.) were replaced by weird little boxes with numbers.

  OK, let's go...

  Earlier this year, I built a gaming platform.

  The specs are as follows (for you nerds like me):

  Gigabyte X 58 - UD5 motherboard
  I7 920 CPU O.C. Intel had to 4.2 Ghz (200 mhz x 20 w / Turbo enabled for 21 x)
  6 GB G.Skill PC10666 ram to 4.9.9.24 timing for 2x800Mhz = 1600 Mhz
  BFG GTX 295 O.C.'d to 684/1246/1476
  W.D. Black Edition 1 TB (7200 RPM SATA) H.D.
  Card Creative X - Fi Fatal1ty sound
  Corsair TX650H P.S.
  Cooler Master V8 CPU w / 120mm fan
  HannsG 28 "HDMI 1080 p @ 1900 x 1200

  and I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 of the operating system.

  Now it's the question...

  On most of my games, I thought I was good running, or even great.

  I was wrong!

  Higher than my bearings were, there was something very wrong with
  my system. And it was not only in games. Sometimes, the system would block
  using the DVD recorder and trying to surf the net or navigation and when
  try to make the video, blue screens of death with dumps of material would be
  happen quite frequently.

  The problem is also common, as it has been, it has also been isolated and reproducible
  for specific applications. And because I was able to repeat these things
  and again and again, I was then able to determine several other things on
  the Windows operating system and the flaws of it.

  The possible solution and fix it!

  Somewhere, somehow, I fell on someone's post on a forum describing
  similar problems to what I had. I have to tell you that when I navigate
  the net and trying to find answers to problems, my mind goes somewhere else.
  I can't explain it, and my ability of reading going on in learned mode... seriously. I have
  had people at home and look over my shoulder and watch me through
  Web pages, running the screen at full, to stop scrolling and picking at the
  exactly the thing I got to read... this time was no different!

  The person went on to explain that if you mention Msconfig in start/run your line
  and click on the second tab "Boot". This works for Vista and Windows 7.

  Click on the 'Advanced Options' button and a new screen will appear.

  When it reads the 'number of processors' checkbox and choose the number of
  processors, you need to match your CPU. A duo / dual core 2, has a quad core
  4... :) Apply and restart!

  The proof is to test!

  After doing this, you will notice a number of things.

  All first, your system boot faster.

  The second, follow-up and use of all THE 4 (or 2) processors on your CPU!

  The third (and most important to players) HIGHEST of BENCHMARKS, TIME LESS
  LOADS OF STRESS ON YOUR CPU AND GPU, AND A GOOD USE OF RESOURCES,
  NO STUTTER AND LAG IN GAMES!

  I don't think if I was reading this post and did not myself, but I DID
  AND IT WORKS! I found the solution!

  But there's a catch!

  And that's where I need someone to help me because I found the other party of the
  problem and why everyone missing the key issue here, including Microsoft and just
  everyone around the world.

  When you activate the 4 processors in this way, you can NOT enter the standby state S3 and
  return to normal. In other words, will not resume the video and power off with the 5
  second power reset method (where it turns off the computer all worldwide and is the same
  as a full reboot), what happens THEN is off the computer and start the cycle
  HOWEVER, he then proceeds to windows SUMMARY thus producing some windows quasi-
  start and then requires a full ADDITIONAL restart for the right of system again.

  Seriously, it's the only way I can explain it, I don't have any other, more clean,.
  Words to explain it, but that's what I live. To do this, so I want to explain what
  I THINK is the case here.

  Because you try to put the CPU and memory, and all in a State of sleep
  (I love doing this and restart once a week or two, because it takes windows in less than)
  3 seconds), what happens when you start on 4 processors is that you ONLY put
  the FIRST kernel to sleep. The other 3 are running and therefore DO NOT sync back
  with the first processor core.

  The OPPOSITE is... so that Windows Vista/7 is to access these carrots ON ITS
  OWN and use correctly and as software written for the use of these carrots are demanding
  it, it would be 3 OTHER carrots that are in a State of low power (like sleep) and get
  called as needed. Then...

  The normal default startup (1 core CPU used / others pending)

  or

  Starting 2/4 (2/4-used processor cores) processors but sleep causes (1 CPU wake / others don't).

  I'm going to do this send to Microsoft and makers of motherboard and of course,.
  all of the major forums where technicians and players hang out.

  I know this may sound crazy to some, but a few years back, I solved the problem with the map
  Portable readers that uses the Texas Instruments chipset for SD/MMC cards built ON EACH computer
  in most of the HP/Compaq and various other laptops. Guess what was the problem or issue?

  A State power/sleep affecting the card reader and once again, I realized the problem
  in reading several forums describing similar problems on quite different issues. On
  This one, I was able to change the register myself and when I posted my results, I've received calls from
  all over the world and tons of emails thanking me for a problem that has existed for 3 YEARS
  and HP/Texas instruments and others could not seem to fix?

  It's good that I'm not even a programmer!

  Final summary...

  Activate 2 or 4 cores at startup upward on your system and thank me later! You can stop like you
  normally, just may not go ahead, BUT you reset you draw in 20-30 seconds and your
  performance gain will be huge!

  ENJOY!

  OK, well I'm not doubting your computing knowledge, but I am owner of 3dMark and performed the same test and had absolutely no performance difference by doing what you say.

  I think what you're saying is that you've discovered something on YOUR system that is not fair, and that you worked on a possible solution.  I mean, given the millions of people who are running this new OS and everyone had great things to say about it, including its performance on Vista and XP.  It seems strange that you have discovered that the BONES broke unless you "lit" all your hearts in the MSConfig.  The only thing that this option in MSConfig allows you to do is cut the carrots.  If it is dimmed, your hearts are used.

  But I digress the topic that you have a unique problem that the parameter can be help you difficulty, but it is not normal.  Discussions about this option found on different forums on the net all have for consequence that the passage on four cores is bunk.

  In fact here is a good article to demystify what you're saying.

  But still, I tested this and had no impact on performance.  So let on or off does not seem to matter.  If you like to have and think that your computer runs faster, get to him.

  Step 1

  Try resetting the component of windows update.

  To do this, click resolve this present in the link below. Click run in the file download dialog box and follow the steps described in the fix it Wizard.

  Step 2

  Perform a scan of the file system [SFC] checker on the computer that will replace missing or corrupt files.

  To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. click on the Start button

  2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

  3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

  4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

  5. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

  6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

  7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

  8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

  9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

  10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

  11. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

  I had XP repair / installation of restoration to the point where the key is installed and the system explodes. It started just after the last update. My problem is that it is juxtaposed against the rejection of the so-called O.S. of Super i7 we debug for you anyway. Thus, this computer is for a gentleman who is blind and I paid so he could be built for him and now he has nothing after a simple update. What happens if something is microsoft going to do to restore the OS for systems that have bombed positions your updates? There need is a new 32-bit OS, because its technology of rehabilitation programs are 32-bit. What can be done and I need to talk with? He is about to lose an opportunity business due to this accidental loss of O.S. Milwaukee, WI, I heard several other reports of people losing their O.S. the same evening, after updates also.

  Wow... so you want to help or do you just want to complain?

  OK, so the first thing, what exactly is the problem?  "the question just below" on my list is on pages Web support is not right.  If you need to start by explaining the problem or a link to the thread that you are referencing.

  If you think that the problem is with an update, this day is this?  And the State of updates of bombing a system...   Well you have to think that there are probably countless of possible hardware configurations for the PC.  If Microsoft (and I don't like or not use all of their programs) wrote the software, but cannot test everything.  You will end up with a few things not working not properly.  Especially when you have an OS that is ten years old.  And I think that if you really read the EULA for XP it shows probably they are not responsible for loss of data or things like that.  If you do not like Windows go get Ubuntu or Linux... or spend 3 x as much and get a Mac (just don't ever try to the modernization of the equipment).

  So if the PC is used for a company, it should have some type of running on an external drive backup program.  At a minimum, the good tech half who is setting up a PC for someone will do it.  So I would suggest going to the backup for the eve of the issue and restore (is there a backup?).

  OK, so if you have no backup. Boot in safe mode do a system restore.  If you cannot start in safe mode, then turn on "disable reboot on system failure" and the error code.  Then get the error code.  Or after return and someone will help you with solutions.  QQ learn manage!
