Having trouble installing new drivers after installing a new hard drive and Windows Vista.

I just installed a new hard drive on my computer of dell inspiron 1525. I managed to do it and it worked. I had a disc from dell to reinstall windows vista edition Home premium 32-bit and had drivers and utilities dvd. However I couldn't connect to the internet. I understand I'm missing some drivers but I rebooted the computer, but it goes to the black screen asking you to start in safe mode, safe mode with network, normally and something else. But after trying all of them, it goes straight to this same screen. What can I do? Or I can clear the new hard drive and start over? Any ideas?

Hello

I suggest that you run the Startup Repair tool and check if it solves the problem:

Startup Repair: frequently asked questions

I suggest Download driver network card on another computer, and then transfer the file using any flash drive and even install in the computer you have challenged.

  • Install a new hard drive and Windows 7 loading no settings are changed on the mother board or bios installation? :

I have a desktop Dell-540 in which my c drive is a Raid 1 configuration of 1 TB (two disks to not up to 1 TB, Raid 0, which is the backup) which has all my programs and data.  I have a 2nd J: 1 TB (single drive - no raid) drive that I use as my back in-house to my drive c.

I am running in all genres or the problems of Windows 7 as well as running out of space so I would install a new 2 TB drive as new drive c and re - install windows 7 for a clean install on a single partition.  I intend to disconnect my current c drive (which consists of my two disks in a raid 1 configuration) as well as to disconnect the 1 TB drive unique j and connect my new 2 TB drive.  I would like to install a clean version of windows 7.  So my question is this:

If I disconnect all the old disks (c and J) and install a new one and start to load windows 7 on it, the new facility does affect the bios or motherboard settings?

f for some reason so I have encounter problems, can I just unplug my new drive of 2 TB and re - connect my original c drive and drive j back to the motherboard and have it load up as it was before original, I unplugged my old PC would be back up and runing?  Or, install Windows 7 on a new drive change the settings of the motherboard or bios Setup that would prevent me to connect to any return to as it was before I started?

In fact, raid 0 is striated, which means that two readers work as something one 1 TB raid 0 disk is made from two 500 GB drives. RAID 1 is mirrored, meaning that you would have two 1 TB drives each of which is one exact copy of the other. Replacing your hard drive and perform a clean installation of Windows 7 will not change your bios settings. You will need to enter the bios and change the configuration of the training of raid 0 or 1 for sata before install Windows on the new drive. To return to your original configuration and the hard disks, you will need to enter the bios and re - configure the hard drives in the raid 0 array or 1, whatever one you had.

  • How to install the new hard drive and windows key?

    Hello

    I have a aspire v5-121-c72g32nkk.
I have just updated to Windows 10, don't panic, but I want to upgrade my HD drive to a SSD drive.

You can find the steps to do this?
Windows was preinstalled, how I reinstall on another drive?
I have no serial key or whatever it is.
I'm a bit lost, you have an idea?

    Best,

There are several ways to do this, anyone have product keys, since

If you want to do a clean install:

Windows 7-8 - 8.1 keys are embeeded on your BIOS

Windows 10 use a generic key during the upgrade, so just skip the steps questions about a product key and the first time you connect on the web, it will authenticate to.

    You must decide:

    (1) do a clean install of your operating system to factory

    (2) make a disk - image of the system image and reload

    (3) to do a clean install of windows 10

option 2 is the fastest at the end, as you create a copy of your HARD drive and reload it to your PC.

you need a bootable windows 10 (USB or DVD) media and little space on external HARD drive.

    I have a Dell Studio XPS 9100 I bought in 2011.

The Seagate Barracuda SATA 1 TB hard drive died, and I replaced it with a Seagate Barracuda 2 TB drive. The re - install Windows 7 went ok, but I couldn't connect to the net.

I went on the site of Dell for the 9100 and installed the drivers for the adapter and the RAID.

No luck. I always get the error "no card" as well as the error 'no cable not connected.

  • HP Probook 4520 s installed new hard drive with Windows 7 pro x 64 and drivers - very lag

    Hello

I had my HP Probook 4520 s for 5 years and a few months ago, he started to become very lag, especially when you use the internet, streaming video and games.

I thought I had identified the problem as a bad sector on the hard drive and so I bought a new hard drive and upgraded the RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB at the same time.

When I installed the new hard drive, I couldn't burn an image of my old hard drive (it would stop during the process and was unable to do so because of an error). I used my little HP Windows 7 Pro x 64 operating system DVD and your HP Application and Driver Recovery DVD to install the necessary drivers on my replacement new drive.

The RAM and the new hard drive seem to be good, however, it's more lag. I tried to use latancy monitors to see if the drivers are the issue. It seems that there is a huge amount of latancy and my CPU is at an almost constant usuage of 100%.

LatancyMon points in the following drivers: usbport.sys, tcip.sys, acpi.sys, iastor.sys, ndis.sys, dxgkrnl.sys and so on.

I've seen forums where they will guide you step by step how to determine what drivers are causing latancy. This I could do although he always seems to change drivers who are the cause of the problem and there seems to be a lot of pilots of causing this problem it is so difficult to bring out here that one. In addition, there seems to be no solution to these problems. The only one offered is to update the offending drivers. This does not solve the problem with lag and the latancy yet.

    Any ideas?

P.s. I really don't know not what is the underlying issue is here so I don't know if this is the right forum to post in. Drivers may not at all be the issue, I spent the last four weeks trying to solve this problem.

  • Can I install unused Windows 7 on my new hard drive with Windows 8?

SO to make a long story short I let my friend borrow a laptop computer and in some SORT he wiped the BONE. I have a HP Pavilion g7 and it is running windows 8. I called HP and after 45 minutes they told me they could send me a new hard drive and a 8 windows recovery disk. I already have an unused copy of windows 7. My question is can I install windows 7 on it and forget just about 8. (Yes, I'm one of those people) but it's so much easier for me to use. but theoretically, since I do not have an operating system on the hard drive I should be able to right? Thanks in advance!

  • How to install Win7 on new hard drive and still access all the files from the hard drives of previous Vista?

I currently have a Windows Vista PC. It has two SATA drives, one with the operating system, the one I use for storage.

I want to buy a new SATA hard drive and install a new copy of Windows 7 top.

I want to know the steps to follow to do this. My plan is this:

    1. turn the pc power off and open the case.

    2. remove the old hard disks

    3. plug the new empty hard drive

    4. turn on the pc and the insertion of the disc to install to Win7 for DVD-ROM drive

    5. enter in the bios and put the DVD-ROM as first boot device

    6. install win 7 on new hard drive.

    Is this correct?

Because my next question is important:

    7. Turning off the computer.

8 reconnect the two old hard drives. New total number of SATA drives connected = three.

Now when I restart the PC and login to Win 7, it lists two other drives as, for example, D:\ and E:\ readers?

How can I make this work?

    Thank you very much!

Thanks for your reply, but I don't want to dual boot. I just want to have the hard drive as the master drive Windows7 and the old two drives as slaves, where I can access files as the pictures and letters.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Well, I would disconnect all drives hard current interns, then connect the new hard drive, reinstall Windows 7, re - attach the old readers as slaves and copy all the data you need to on the disc of Windows 7.

    See:

  • HDD problem IBM Thinkpad T42. I can't install NEW Hard Drive and NEW OEM Windows XP?

    Hi all

When I turn on the notebook Windows XP starts up and everything is loaded. But after 5 or 10 minutes, the response is very slow. If I click on any window and try to open any folder, or open internet explore it takes about 1 or 2 minutes to respond. I tried several ways to scan disk and Defrag, but still that are of no use. I also tried 'Difficulty automatically File System Errors' and ' will search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors ", but this problem is still there. Even when I stop it takes too long to stop about 15 to 20 minutes.

When I turn on again NEXT DAY Windows XP starts and everything loads quickly. After 5 or 10 minutes, the response is very slow. This problem occurs for a few days.

I then used "IBM Rescue and Restore" to load fresh operating system. Still the problem does not get fixed.

Can you get it someone please let me know if this is problem of hard disk or something else. I'm guessing it's related to the hard drive.

If it is the drive hard problem how to save (clone) of this old hard drive AGAIN DISK (after buying) HARD.

If I buy the NEW HARD DRIVE and CD/DVD of NEW OPERATING SYSTEM OEM VERSION it will work? Do existing mother board ALLOW to load a NEW VERSION of OS OEM?

    Thank you

Contact the manufacturer of your computer, IBM and ask them to send a recovery disk/s XP set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p6-2123: New Hard drive with Windows 7 but cannot get online... need adapter... network error 0 x code 80070017

I installed a new hard drive and clean installed Windows 7 from a dvd, so I could then install Windows 10 from a record since the upgrade on my pc failed repeatedly.

After I installed 7, everything worked except that I can't go online. I get error code 0 x 80070017 that tells me to install a network adapter or reinstall a driver. My internet connection in our House work that my husband is able to get online. We have Verizon DSL internet via a network cable.

My husband downloaded the necessary driver for my pc to a website of HP flash drive, but it Wouln't install/run on my pc.

    Thank you for your help.

    At any time.

I am pleased to have been of assistance.

If you still have problems with the flash player and this file, the only other suggestion I can offer would be to burn the file to a CD and run the executable file I've first validated from the CD or transfer the 2nd file I posted from the CD to the hard drive, or find the driver on the CD folder.

    Hello

Yes, you can reinstall vista with your product key on the new hard drive

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Unless this stick memory has on her installation files as well, you cannot reinstall win7 on the new hard drive

You will need the DVD / or the ISO of Win7.

And no you do not need BACK. Just the dvd or ISO / to boot from. Then you can format / partition in the configuration screen
