• [Solved] TinyMCE as a Rich text editor in MODx as no longer works

  I use MODx as a manager of content on a host of LAMP. After upgrade of th 11 of Firefox, content pages where I have more than one Rich Text editing field, all except the last field white poster. TinyMCE window presents, all icons, but no content is visible or the cursor shows.

  Is the content - switching TinyMCE stopped displays the raw html code - just not visible.

  This phenomenon appears to be independent of the client computer OS and MODx and version of TinyMCE. I tried Win XP 32 and 64-bit, and Windows 7. All have different sets of plugins. I run many websites and have several versions of MODx and each has its own integrated version of TinyMCE.

  Other browsers (Safari, IE8 and Chrome all tested) do not have this problem. Only Firefox. I posted on the MODx forums. Does there yet. No change to anything else happened, except possibly the host of the LAMP and I have reported it to them too. They responded to say that they have made any changes to one of their servers.

  My clients in other countries all have the same problem when they use Firefox to access the MODx CMS.

  I post here in case it's a Firefox issue in isolation.

  Press < Alt > or < F10 > to display the toolbar.

  Windows; Tools > Options
  Linux; Edit > Preferences
  Mac; name of the application > Preferences

  Then Advanced > General.
  Find and stop using hardware acceleration.

  Dig safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart.

  I want to make a component reusable swing which will consist of TextField and Jbutton. Click on the the Jbutton a JFileChooser open through which the user can select a directory and the path selected will appear in the TextField.
  
  I googled a lot but couldn't find a good article. All the article shows that stretches from one component Swing, but none no indication how to combine two or more elements in one.
  
  Can someone please send me an article / excerpt/Code tutorial on how I can create a custom Swing component from two or more basic Swing Component.

  Create a subclass of JPanel that contains two widgets from left to right:

• Rich Text Editor - limit the characters to type in

  I'm having a little trouble, and pehaps can someone help out me.

  I use APEX 4.2

  In the Web page that I have developed, I have a rich text editor, which is intended to be limited by words, rather than characters.

  I installed a single view point, that correctly displays the amount of words being there, that the problem is that I don't know how to do to limit the amount of this words, so when they hit 50 (for example), it stops leaving the user to type more than words.

  Does anyone know how can achieve this?

  Because nobody could hint on that, and I've tried several things until finally got a solution.

  I will post the solution I did (it's not very clean, but since I have a date deadline and things always work on...):

  First of all, APEX page jscript on charge:

  lEditor is a global variable of my javascript to html header.

  It would really help that my comment between two texts cited is not add in the framework of the first text mentioned... (just an example of what has happened in the last 24 hours...). When I want to help or chat, I'm really annoyed to waste time with such things - but also with poorly formatted information, which makes it more difficult to understand.

  work on VM Ubuntu with the latest update of Firefox, VMware authorized Scripts.

  Like what is said above the rich text editor has quite a few bugs.  Believe me, they know pretty much all we have brought up a lot of times what they was using the text editor that works quite well and has very few bugs.  You can also set your value by default when you post then change, text gross, then on the side right of the screen, there's a link saying "set default editor", which will start you clear each time.  Even thought it might not be as fantasy, it does the job without the headaches of your post showing completely messed up 75% of the time

  Sorry, you misunderstood.

  As far as I know, you can have a predefined running rich text editor.

  There are two options.

  1. Create a number of buttons, each of them for a function of text enriched, for example 'fat', 'align left' etc. Although it is possible to script for the rich text features, the difficulty can be in getting these buttons to work for more than one field.
  2. An easier option is to set the rich text in the subject field > field tab. You can then indicate to the user that gives "CTRL + B" bold text, etc. Also if the field is set to rich text, then pressing "Control + E" (for editing) when the field has focus will bring up a floating editor. See below.

• Format rich text editors or tools do not work in Firefox

  I use Win 7 64 bit and Firefox 16. Problem is that I and other users of the Forum, that we belong to, can not use the editor text rich Format or tools to edit text...
  For example, when you type your text and you want to change the format of "BOLD" etc. the editor gives a code like this:

  [undefined = undefined] Found thread [/ undefined] where it should be [b] Thread Found [/ b]
  The undefined Word opens with all the formatting tools.

  Using another browser like Chrome or IE the formatting or rich text editor works very well. Like I said that's not me who has this problem, we are not a lot of people on the forum who is having the same problem.

  Counsel for solving this problem will be greatly appreciated.

  You can have a degree of capability.policy.allowclipboard.sites pref, so in your case, the second line with http://www.mozilla.org will replace the first with the office.iris.ac server.
  
  If you need more than one URL, separate by spaces, but in your case, you don't need the mozilla site that is indicated as an example.

• Update of the rich TEXT Editor

  I, like many others, have it searched the internet looking for rich TEXT editor that can handle the full feature set of a RTF file. There is only one project there and is not open source, nor is there a true documentation which can explain how to use this custom Publisher RTF kit.

  I ask the name of the community that Oracle develop a RFTEditorKit capable of handling the full set of features of the RTF standard. I want to be able to open a file with images in Java. I would also like to create a simple demo program to illustrate the new RTF kit.

  This forum seems to have more features than the current RTFEditorKit, I think that level of those looking for this feature indicates the level of need.

  I'm working on a version of the project portal (11.1.1.7) and I have a customer requirement to disable/hide the fonts/font size/color in the Rich Text Editor Taskflow in the document library based on the security group. I see that the taskflow RichTextEditor is in the path - / oracle/webcenter/doclib/view/jsf/taskflows/richTextEditor in view of document webcenter library service and I opened the editHTML.jsff to see what customization is possible, but the code here uses the < rte:editor > to display the Editor Rich Text. can someone help me as to how I can customize it to meet the requirements. Another approach possible.

  This component built according to CKEditor is a WYSIWYG of WebCenter internal framework not intended to be used as a public component.

  Any changes to the components must change ten - taglib.jar and is not a way supported by Oracle (a patch may affect these libraries).

  On your condition, you will need to change the features of CKEditor (.js files) inside the library to meet your requirement.

  My recommendation is to ask Oracle in a SR Oracle.

  In the components Panel find each asset with an entry for the "bottom" and the entries for one or more pages (images to fill browser).

  Make a copy of these files from image disk and re - set fill to browser to use the copy.

  Once you have done so for each image that is used as a picture fill to the browser and the picture fill for other objects, you will be able to connect or update assets and save without errors.

  I have a text field with rich text format format. I need to add a new line character, if the length of a sentence longer than 65 characters. When I change the text using javascript formatting breaks and the signature event will fail eventually. Is it possible to change the body of the value of the text field?   If you want to access the data and style in a field richtext, you must use the command Fieldname.value.exData.saveXML ("pretty"). This will give you the xHTML data format. Then you can manipulate the data in the way that you want, and to get it back in the field, use the Fieldname.value.exData.loadXML ("xml to load", parm1, parm2). The parms are Boolean values that control whether to replace or add the XML to the existing xml. See the reference for script/help for a more detailed description.

  Note that it won't be easy if there is a lot of rich text in your field that the text will be spread between tags. You may need to use the rawValue (no formatting to find out where to put the CR then find in the HTML code and it add.)
