Haw to restore deleted master page object

If I apply the master for some substitution a Page then the page and delete an object which takes its source on the master page - is it not Sauté with scripts?

I would like to avoid reverting Master Page - becuse I didn't wat to reset attributes overridden other objects on the master page.

There are two ways you can go about this:

(1) you can compare the elements of the master page to page elements and see which ones are missing. If an item is missing, you can duplicate the local page. It's not going to be substituted, so you will need to write a custom script tag to track that it is a "substitute virtual' point.

(2) you can loop through all elements of local page and find those overridden. Then you reapply the master page and re - replace page elements and reapply any changes.

Neither method is ideal, but I don't see another way to go about it.

Good luck!

  • All instances of object in the master page

    I have a field of text at the top of my master page object. When the user selects from a drop-down list object, background color of the text box must change from white to green, yellow or red. I have created the script to the change event of the fall down and it works properly until a second page is created dynamically, as a result of text, the user added to other areas. How can I select all instances of the text field?

    Here is my script:

    Form1.Subform4.Table2.Row1.Overall[0]::change - (JavaScript, client)
    if ($.boundItem(xfa.event.newText) == "Green") {
      xfa.resolveNode("#pageSet.Page1.OverallTop").border.fill.color.value = "204, 255, 204";//green color
    }
    if ($.boundItem(xfa.event.newText) == "Red") {
      xfa.resolveNode("#pageSet.Page1.OverallTop").border.fill.color.value = "204, 255, 204";//red color
    }
    if ($.boundItem(xfa.event.newText) == "Yellow") {
      xfa.resolveNode("#pageSet.Page1.OverallTop").border.fill.color.value = "255, 255, 0";//yellow color
    }

    Hi DKinsley ,

    I had a similar problem and solved in this way:

    You must change the JavaScript code in this way, you change all cases on each masterpage, where the element is inherited.

    In you case the code would probably look like this:

    Form1.Subform4.table2.Row1.overall [0]: change - (JavaScript, client)

    • If ($(xfa.event.newText) .boundItem == "Green") {}
    • xfa.resolveNode ("pageSet.NameofMasterpage [0].") OverallTop'). border.fill.color.value = "204, 255, 204; green color
    • }
    • If ($(xfa.event.newText) .boundItem == 'Red') {}
    • xfa.resolveNode ("#pageSet.NameofMasterpage [1].") OverallTop'). border.fill.color.value = "204, 255, 204; red color--> that is the same color as above
    • }
    • If ($(xfa.event.newText) .boundItem == "Yellow") {}
    • xfa.resolveNode ("#pageSet.NameofMasterpage [2].") OverallTop'). border.fill.color.value = "255, 255, 0; yellow color
    • }

    I'm not that good in coding, so maybe the code should always get running, but I hope it points you in the right direction.

  • unlock an object master page on 'standard '.

    Hello

    In CS4, I used a combination of keys (Ctrl + Shift + Alt, maybe, or just Ctrl + Shift, I don't remember) and clicked on if there was a master page object I wanted to change to a specific page. Out the purpose of the master, if I could change this object only this page (for example, if I wanted to remove the pagination on a single page 14).

    In CC, I don't find this very usable option.

    I found the option Ctrl + Alt + Shift + L, but which releases all objects on master on the page, and this page is not what I want to do.

    Can someone help me?

    (Les objets peuvent, ou non, être enfermé dans la page maître, mais qui semble ne faire aucune différence; les couches ne sont pas verrouillées))

    CTRL + SHIFT should work to release a Master object, but the behavior of locked objects has changed since CS4, so it is possible that could be your problem. Locked objects are not selectable in the new versions by default, but you can change this in the preferences. You should also check that the object is not on a locked layer.

    Hello

    I think you're on the right track.

    You set up a master page with the appearance of the paging set to a maximum of 1. Here you can set our security reviews. Then set up a second master page as your main template.

    In design mode, the first page (page1) with be based on Master Page 1 safety. Assign this hidden presence in the object tab.

    Initialization if the reporting criteria would include

    Page1.presence = "visible"; view the safety notice

    Page2.presence = 'hidden '; Hide all other pages

    page3. Presence = "hidden";

    page4. Presence = "hidden";

    ...

    When the form is opened and the criteria of initialization is OK then the user will see all pages (except the hidden Security page). If the criteria fails then all pages are hidden and the visible security page.

    Hope that works,

    Niall

    PS I don't think you can delete Master Pages. but you can exclude the layout of the form pages. Having two Master Pages makes it easier; one for the notice and the other for the form itself. You can also set the size of the Security page to be much more small (A5) and a different orientation (landscape).

    Another option would be to hide the pages and have an app.alert for the safety message. (although I think that you must always have at least one visible page).

  • Double Master page has not not as expected

    After the two video review and a tutorial written on Muse - specifically the creation and function of the duplicate Master Page - I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.

    Most of my site is built on a single master, but I want a single page to appear a little differently. I clicked on the page master and choose "duplicate" and began the process of tweaking the duplicate. After finishing, I applied the collective duplicate to one of the pages of the site that I had seen and read in the tutorials. Unfortunately, I discovered that my changes in double was emulated in the original even if double "masterless" listed. This is contrary to what I've just seen and read.

    What Miss me?

    Thank you.

    I was not able to reproduce the behavior using Muse CC 2014.2

    This is the behavior I see:

    • When I right-click and duplicate a master (say A-master), a new teacher named A-master copy is created.
    • I then edit the newly created master (A-master copy)
    • Apply A-master page to copy a page of the site and all the formatting of the A-master copy is applied to the page of the site.
    • The page of the master, to indicate what master page displays [A-master copy] as badge site is applied.

    The only thing I can think is that maybe more properties have been applied to the web page itself which override the options of the master page that you applied?

    Try the following:

    • Right-click on the problem page and see if there is the option to reset the Page Properties . What happens if you select this option?
    • Otherwise, there are objects that have been added to the problem page? In Design view (View menu), view the layers panel, expand all the layers (select the triangle to the left of the layer name) and see if there are objects that might interfere with the display of the master page objects.

    If the foregoing is of no help, would you be able to provide some screenshots of the behavior you're seeing? That could help us to acknowledge what is happening.

But even at this stage, when I create a new A-master, there is no block of text at all, in order to recreate and redo the problematic child pages appear not to be a solution. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    When you click on the Plus sign next to a master page to create another master page, it does not inherit the master page objects. It simply creates an empty template. If you want the new master page to inherit the objects, then right-click on the desired master page and choose 'duplicate page.

    As child pages are concerned, Yes, they should inherit all objects and properties of the master page. It's really weird if his past is not for you. What happens when you right click on the page child and apply desired master for this menu?

  • Master page problem pinning

    I've pinned a master page object in Muse.  When I saw the website, objects on the regular pages scroll above the pinned object master.  It seems ridiculous and defeats the purpose of pinning.  Is it possible to fix this or do I have to pin the object on any ordinary Web pages exactly in the same place?

    Pinning objects on the master page will rank the object back when a regular page... then your second resolution is correct, you will pin the object on every page and it size up to solve the problem of overlap.

  • Fireworks master page adapts to the he's happy and apply to only a few selected pages?

    Hi all!

    I use the PNG Fireworks format to save all the pages of the websites that I build. However, when I apply a master page in a Fireworks project, all subsequent pages have this applied master page. Sometimes it is necessary to have a page without the master page applied to it, but I can't seem to find how to do this.

    Another difficulty, I fell on that is not be able to make the master page to adjust to its content, just like regions editable in Dreamweaver model, for those who know what it is. Is it possible to do in Fireworks?

    Greetings,

    Casal André

    André,

    Regarding your first question, we could think that the drop down menu panel Pages might have a command that you would release a selected page of the master, but apparently not. However, if you select the page and go to the layers panel, you can display the Master Page layer in the bottom of the stack. You can set the visibility of the layer or its components, or go to the menu drop-down in the layers panel and choose Delete Master Page layer.

    Regarding the second question, I don't think that it is possible for a page master to "adapt to its content. Per, I'm guessing that you mean to respond fluidly to the other elements on the page, whether they are long or short, etc. It is a property of the web pages, where everything is "outstanding". But Fireworks uses a different system.

    I'm still new to the feature Pages myself, but have you tried the options "Share layer" menu drop-down in the layers panel? These could offer some of the benefits of the feature of the master page, but with more flexibility. The symbols are also something to consider when you want to repeat the elements in a document.

  • Master Pages and text boxes

    I'm trying to set up my master page with a few text boxes, but I try to get so that the text boxes I put in place in the master page, I can use and edit text in my Document. But what is the point of putting the text boxes in the master pages if you can't use them on your pages. This could be something simple, but I can't understand it. IM use cs4. Help, please

    Thanks for the help, I was hoping that I didn't have to place text on each page

    There is nothing wrong with putting a text on a master page object. To edit a template on a page, command + shift + click on item.

  • How can I delete a master page corrupted?

    I have eight chapters of my book with no apparent error, but only after working through a lot of mistakes trying to get my footer running to work.  The ninth chapter, I decided to reformat a new master page.  I have this doing, I made a few corrections by removing and replacing some elements of my footer running.  When I finally saw just and applied to my pages, the footer is released which appears strongly surimprime.  Looking for the the User Guide for my mistake, I discovered that I had damaged my file using the delete key when I should have used a procedure to detach master page items.

    In an effort to fix this, I could remove the master from the pages using the 'none' master, but the pages still bear the 'A' in the corner of their icon.  I find no way to totally remove the corrupted master spread.  When I try to apply a master to a previous chapter pages my pages have the same surimprime foot as before.  I would delete the entire document and start over, but I don't know how to get rid of the mess that I did this.

    You simply remove the extra frames of footer, where they are - page page or a master document.

    If you have overridden a Master frame for a reason, and then reapply the same master page or a new master, you are going to get new instances of masters objects behind objects overridden on document pages.

  • Object shows, but it isn't on layers or master pages...

    Strange-object.png

    What have I forgotten? Object even when I hide all layers. Nothing is on any master page that should refer to this. I can not enter it by all means even when all layers are presented and released... Otherwise this could bother you as much, but of course, I need to move this object, then copy it elsewhere...

    Thank you for your wise solutions!

    Complementary, best solution, based on the same IDML: when you delete "ItemLayer ="xyz"this element will be moved to the bottom most layer.

    This is corruption in the file and can be repaired:

    You can read the names of the layers in the designmap.xml file

    "There are 2 problems, the name of the layer =" "" (empty) and the definition should be filled with a name.

    Visible = "true" Locked = "true" IgnoreWrap = "false" ShowGuides = "true" LockGuides = "true" UI = 'false' sustainable = 'false' Printable = "true" >

    should be replaced by

    Visible = "true" Locked = 'false' IgnoreWrap = 'false' ShowGuides = "true" LockGuides = "false" UI = 'true' sustainable = 'true' Printable = "true" >

    When you change this, it will correct all the layers.

  • Question about InDesign: master page items I delete will not be missing.

    I'm working on bringing a book, with chapters that are separate files. Of course, there are a master page with various guides that I use a lot, as well as a header running pretty standard with the names section and chapter and page numbers. As is standard practice, I would like to appear on almost all the pages, but not on the front pages of the chapters. (There are other times I might want to replace it, but that is the main). So, I Ctrl-Shift-click, then delete them when I put in place a new chapter.

    Problem is that they are not missing. Every so often, I open a previous chapter and find that these items are back on the first page of this chapter, and I remove them again. I only noticed this since I did the chapters in question in a book file so that I can keep an eye on my pages and synchronize styles more easily.

    My best guess is that maybe it has something to do with the aforementioned synchronization. I don't want these chapters to share the same master pages, but don't want to keep IDto re-application of the elements of their share to the individual pages that I have already manually the deleted since (sometimes more than once). How can I stop this from happening? (Or otherwise, if it is not the cause of the problem, what else could be and how to deal with that?)

    Create a different master page based on your primary master page for these pages. Do not make substitutions on the pages of work.
