Hi ShaunySmiley, welcome to the Forums of HP. Assuming you have done the basic setup correctly (HDMI to TV): connection of a monitor, projector or a TV (Windows 8) and the volume is mounted on your TV.

Have you seen an HDMI output for the audio properties? If not, try to restore the original Audio drivers using this method: use of the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8) and then install the latest version of the drivers:driver Audio Realtek High definition (HD). If you can not do the restoration stage, just uninstall the drivers, then reinstall them using.

Restart your computer and let me know if that allows for the volume on your TV.

I'll check for your reply soon
