I have the Sony Bravia KDL-46Z5100 and all of a sudden, none of the HDMI inputs work; It seems to be a HDMI problem only when I switched to component cables to connect my cable box and the PS3 it works very well, but for some reason that all HDMI inputs will no longer accept a signal? I spent the HDMI cables, so this isn't a cable problem and I also reset the TV to its original settings, but still will not accept anything using the HDMI inputs.

Does anyone have ideas on this?

    Thanks, Jim

    Thank you Erik.

  • HP Envy 17-j050US (syncmaster) HDMI questions

    Hello world

I have this envy 17-j050us Bond in movement and recently when I tried to connect it to the syncmaster via hdmi, I realized this problem.

I've updated the video driver and sometimes she even recognizes the TV in the "screen resolution" window, but it is still black showing 'no signal' or "cannot do this function" (or something like that)

I have connected the laptop with another tv and it works. Even with the syncmaster/other devices such as the PS3.

I couldn't figure it out by myself and its getting on my nerves.

    could someone help me?

    Thank you very much

    Hi again stalonelb,

    Thanks for the quick response!

Given that you have tested all the components of the environment with your laptop and HDMI connections, and the question rests with the Samsung Syncmaster, I recommend you contact Samsung technical support for assistance.

    I hope this helps!

  • Connection to a TV with HDMI output with a Dual-Link DVI adapter

I have two monitors connected to my MacPro late 2013, an HDMI port and the other on the Minidisplay port (with a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter). Then I have a third monitor used for dubbing tracks, (22 in.) connected to an another mini display port with a Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI. Now, I don't want to connect to the Dual-Link DVI adapter a led TV 40 "in replacement of the monitor 22 '', so that I can make the tracks of dubbing in a better way. But the led TV has a HDMI port. The question is: can I connect the TV led to the Dual-Link DVI adapter, simply using an adapter DVI to HDMI? It work?

Not used that exact configuration but should work.

  • HDMI active? The best graphics port?

Recently bought a G3-605 Predator, but some problem with HDMI connector.
The HDMI does not work, but if I connect the monitor with DVI (graphics card) instead, I got a picture.

    DVI - photo YES

    HDMI - photo No.
    Two questions:
How to activate the HDMI connector? BIOS thing?

The best of connector to use, DVI, or HDMI, for the best picture possible?
I have a full HD monitor.

As the image quality, it's the same.

  • E-port Plus - made audio coming out of DisplayPort converter / HDMI / dongle?

    Hi all

Currently I am considering buying an E6230 Latitude with an E-Port Plus Replicator (or E-Port USB 3.0 version). However, I intend on connecting the E-Port Plus to TV via HDMI cable (TV doesn't come with DisplayPort, so I have no choice), and I know that this requires an additional DisplayPort / HDMI converter (or dongle, according to the E-Port Plus specification).

If the hardware installation would be something like this:

    Latitude E-6230 - E-Port Plus (DisplayPort)--> DisplayPort converter / HDMI / dongle---> cable HDMI---> TV (HDMI port)

My question is, the audio signal will pass through DisplayPort | DPtoHDMI converter | HDMI to the TV? Or the only way to output audio signal TV's throughout the E-Port Plus audio jack? I would be disappointed if this is the case later.

  • Input HDMI to Sony Brevia KDL - V40XBR1 TV menu

I have a Roku streaming stick plugged into the HDMI port on the back of my Sony Brevia KDL-V40XBR1 TV.

However, I can't find the input channel appropriate when I scroll the entry options.  How do the correct entry?

    Hi richardjroberts!

You must press the TV/VIDEO button on your remote control Sony provided several times and then select input VIDEO 6 that corresponds to the entry for the HDMI connection on your Sony KDLV40XBR1 TV.

If the VIDEO input 6 is ignored, you must press the WEGA GATE, go to SETTINGS, and then select the LABEL VIDEO INPUTS. Under VIDEO LABEL ENTRIES, select VIDEO 6 and turn it on.

  • HDMI ports not working not not on kdl-40xbr4

Hello, I recently returned from vacation to find that a lot of my components and my tv did not work properly. Neighbors, said that there was a bolt of lightning very close at the time I was absent. My main problem now is that my kdl-40xbr4 has lost the use of its HDMI ports. The TV works as usual if the components are connected in any other way, but the HDMI ports will not work. If I select one of the ports HDMI the banner at the top will indicate which input is activated just as usual, but it will not go away because there is no picture or sound to come whether it is through the HDMI ports. Has anyone ever encountered this problem, and no one knows a solution?

I used my laptop to my Sony Bravia TV using the HDMI ports for more than two years without problem. I unplug it and plug it back on a regular basis without problem. I have returned from a weekend out of town and plugged my laptop back to and kept getting the error on the TV:

No signal. Check the external source or select another entry with the ENTER key.

    TV:

    Sony Bravia KDL-40BX420

    Laptop:

HP Pavilion G6 with graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 with the latest drivers (Intel HD Graphics driver for Windows 7/8/8.1 64 - bit, v15.28.20.64.3347), 8.1 for Windows 64-bit

    What I tried:

    • Tried it with 3 different HDMI cables (without success)
    • Tried connecting Player DVD TV HDMI ports (successful, plug-and-play)
    • Tried to connect the PC to another TV with cable HDMI listed above (successful, plug-and-play)
    • Tried to reset the TV to factory settings (reset successful, still no PC signal)
    • I tried power reset on the TV (unplugged for a few minutes, connected again, no still no PC signal)
    • Tried to reinstall graphics drivers of PC (Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 7/8/8.1 64 - bit, v15.28.20.64.3347, Intel, installation successful, website still no PC signal)

  • HDMI male to male or male to female? Also question of dual monitor

I have a Dell XPS 8500 desktop computer and a NVIDIA GE Force GT 640 video card and a couple of monitors, I want to connect.  One of the monitors is a Dell ST2320LF monitor that has DVI, HDMI and VGA ports on it.  It came with a VGA cable that I currently connected DVI-d port on the desktop via an adapter.  I have a second monitor, an Acer with VGA cable I want to plug into the DVI port instead (by adapter) and get a HDMI cable to use for the Dell Monitor instead.  Two questions.

    (1) I can just plug the two monitors, one through the DVI and the other through the HDMI interface, and they'll both work?  I got the impression that the 8500 XPS is preconfigured to manage two monitors, but I don't know if I need to do something special after plugging the.

    (2) what kind of cable HDMI do I need for my monitor?  Male/female or male/male?

    Thanks for any help.

I have the same arrangement.  The monitor with a HDMI connects to the HDMI from the map and becomes the primary monitor (determines the shape of the BIOS boot screen.  The HDMI cable is male, the standard thing, you get to your TV. The second monitor plugs into the card DVI plug using the adapter as needed.

You may need to change the properties of display of Win7 or Panel of comtrol nVidia (right-click on the desktop), but obviously when you open the control panel. You do not need to play with the BIOS and Intel parameters, both monitors are supported by the video card straight out of the box.

  • Vista to XP Drivers (m9280a) - HDMI question

Hello, our company recently bought many m9280a machines, but had to format and install Windows XP due to some applications, we run that only run in Windows XP. We managed to get most of the features system to run on Windows XP using this HP support forum (in this thread).

Recently, we found that we needed to use the features of the graphics card HDMI, so we wonder if anyone knows which driver to install to get the job of the HDMI.

I think that its an ASUS GeForce 8500GT card on our computers HP Pavilion m9280a, DVI, S-Video and HDMI outputs.

I posted this question here too but I have marked this thread as resolved so I guess end questions would be to neglect.

We greatly appreciate all the assistance and look forward to hear from you.

Try to install the available original driver via the following link:

  • question of HDMI input

It is a question of pre-sales.  I see that some laptops Alienware support an HDMI input, and when I saw the feature, the laptop was connected to another computer via an HDMI cable or a HDMI of Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.  The Alienware laptop has become something as a presentation device for another computer, with a copy to the screen of the computer.  Mouse and keyboard Alienware seemed to be inoperative until the issuing machine stopped sending.  Is this true?  Is it possible to interrupt the process of the machine making the display?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Unfortunately, I don't believe that it is possible. The other computer becomes a monitor, turning off all other functions.
