• HDR Photo Merge returns "Uknown error occurred."

  HI guys,.

  Really hoping for more help with this problem because it is a function I use regularly for work and it completely ruined my workflow.  As says the title when I use the HDR photo merge function it returns the message "Uknown error occurred."

  

  If I uncheck auto align or your Lightroom crashes immediately.  I tried several things to solve problems such as the GPU acceleration disabling and uninstalling/reinstalling Windows and Lightroom (which means a whole new catalog also obviously).  Images I'm trying to merge are shot on a sony a7s (I can't merge all the photos I've tried several others).  I used to be able to use this function without problem, and in fact, it still works on my laptop with these same images.  My system specs are as follows:

  I was able to narrow the problem, the problem is when you want to process the HDR with a stack of photos (all stacked files) it will give you the problem, but if you expand the stack, then select individual files, it is able to treat them without problem.

• HDR Photo Merge does not!

  HDR Photo merge doesn't work on my laptop or my desktop.  Both are ver 6.2.1.  What's wrong?  Is this a BUG LR6?

  OK, both desktop & laptop had already unchecked and HDR merge would not work.  I just checked the box on both & it works now on both!  Thanks for the solution, even if it is the reverse.  Thank you!  Bob

• For HDR Photo Merge highlights are always-100

  In each Photo HDR merge I did (about 10) point culminating merged image slider is always set to-100 in the develop module or that highlights are raw. I tried two mergers image and three image merged with the total margin still being +/-2 EV. Also tried to merge made files jpg and Raw (separately) with the same result, highlights = - 100. Someone else has encountered this and is there a way to get a decent result of mid range?

  The tool is in need of a MAJOR overhaul HDR (with recognition of faces, Pano seems to work ok).  Virtually every HDR, I tried with enabled AUTO is back in Lightroom with highlights to-100 and + 70 shadows.  The exposure slider has increased the range of 5 to 10, but from what I see this extra range is WORTHLESS and fact that the less sensitive cursor.  There seems to be several highlights and shadows available in the merge of files so more needs of range to be allowed in - highlights / + shadows sliders.

• Interchangeability of Lighroom/Photoshop, especially for HDR photos

  I bought and downloaded from Amazon, Lightroom 5, recently upgrade to 5.7. I tried to do HDR photos and give back - after posting a question on this point - I need to have something distinct to merge. I downloaded free Photomatix. When I'm reading tutorials in Adobe/Lightroom they keep referring to Photoshop, as if it was completely interchangeable with Lightroom, especially when it is used to help merge when you do HDR photos. I appreciate this may sound silly, but I have to buy separately just Photoshop if I HDR photo merge? If I have I don't see the point of spending more money on Photoshop just to do this or have Lightroom, I misunderstood? Thank you.

  There are some tasks that do not have Lightroom, HDR and stitching panoramas are a few examples. Photoshop and Lightroom work well together as a team. Another solution would be to add Photoshop Elements to your workflow. It is much cheaper than Photoshop and has most of the features photography you need. You should also consider the plugins Google Nik. There is a plugin HDR that is part of this collection.

  Lightroom is a parametric Editor, which means that adjustments are not implemented directly in the image file. The changes are stored in a database called the catalog. Lightroom does not change the content of a master image that is imported into Lightroom pixel. Therefore, there are some tasks that cannot be accomplished using Lightroom. If another external editor can be useful in certain situations.

• 'Could not complete the command because of a program error' when you try to merge HDR photos.

  I looked around, a bit online, but have not been able to find a solution to this problem on one of the forums. I use Adobe Photoshop CC on a Windows 10 PC. Many positions using other versions of Photoshop or Mac instead of a PC. While I was trying to use the suggestions that they mentioned regardless of version or BONES, none of them seemed to work. I have had no problem blending of HDR photo using the PLC-> merge to HDR Pro tool, but it doesn't work now. I tried to reset the photoshop preferences, disable the "generator" and change the default printer in XPS writer, but none of these suggestions seem to help at all. I'd appreciate any help from someone from Adobe who knows his business or another user who has solved this problem. Thanks in advance!

  Aparently it was a problem with Photoshop, because the last update solved the problem.

• Lost the Photo merge feature

  Can I have it please some advice from someone re: lost functionality merge photos into Lightroom.

  I am in terms of creative photography of cloud and install updates on a regular basis. I recently moved my Lightroom Catalog to a hard drive external. No problem, until I tried to install the latest updates. Now, my Photo Merge disappeared, even "change in ' - 'merge to HDR in Photoshop' -"Merge to Panorama in Photoshop"options are not available. Current versions: Lightroom CC2015.6.1 Photoshop 2015.5 the last update also installed Camera RAW CC

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  Are the "grey" and inactive menu options, or totally absent and not visible in the menus? (Show us a screen clip)

  Have you confirmed that you have open in fact the CC2015.6.1 version and not an earlier version still on your computer?

  You select two or more photos that are suitable for the merger?

  Are photos selected in the grid of the library and not showing is not as 'missing' (!)

• Removal of the HDR Photos?

  I shot photos on my iPhone 6 and HDR. They transferred to my iCloud account and the regular and HDR copy the two see the place. I deleted the photo HDR version on my Mac (iCloud library is on), but the HDR versions has not deleted from my iPhone. Why and is there a quick way to select the HDR photos so they can be removed?

  I realized what I was doing wrong. I was deleting photos from an album, not the library. Duh!

• Where LR6 paste my merged to HDR photo?

  I merged the, view the dialogue, click on 'merge', see process the photo according to the progress bar that is displayed in the upper left, impossible to find where he puts the merged photo. Help?

  Right-click on one of the images you used for the HDR, select "go to folder in the library"... you see it then?

• Hi, my name is Nigel I lightroom CC. After the merger of HDR photo and then adjusting them. Could you tell me how to back up purely as a j - peg so I can post photos for friends and the social group.

  It seems to save it in a dng file do not allow me to show it to others.

• HDR only merges with new LR... What is happening?

  Help, please... I recently had my computer repaired and when I downloaded LR, this is the most recent version (the most recent as of 22/07/16). Now I can't merge my photos into an HDR... I get the message "cannot merge pictures. Please cancel and review of your choice. I went to preferences and unchecked my graphics processor... no help. Can anyone offer any help please? !! TKS!

  How many images can you try to merge in a HDR? Have you tried this with a small series of images?

  Also, have you tried for the images that you have merged successfully before?

• "unknown error has occurred" when you try to use the Photo merge into LR CC

  With the help of LR CC on OS X 10.10.4.   Whenever I try to use the command 'Merge Photo' for panorama or HDR, I get an error message saying "unknown error occurred".  If I take the images in PS as TIFF, then merge with one pano or HDR works fine, but I want to use LR to keep the dng files.  I raised this question in a chat session with Adobe on May 22, when I was told it would be fixed in the next version of LR CC - next release didn't solve the problem, I still get the same error (case #0186669986).  Question raised again in another session of chat with Adobe rep July 16 - as requested, I have downloaded a game of my images that is generating the error, but have had no response (case #0186848023).  Got no response from Adobe on this question, how it solved? --are there patches there?

• Filter for HDR photos

  I used to use Aperture but have really achieved by using pictures. It does the job and is improving all the time. I shoot a lot of HDR and also keep the original. Is there a way to filter the only HDR versions and thus have a quick way of removing the non - HDR of same photo versions?

• Only read when using photo merge error

  I just got an iMac and subscribed to Lightroom 6 CC (previously used Lightroom 5 with my PC). I imported a batch of test of dng (dng on the hard bank files) to try the new fusion of photo utilities, but when I tried to merge to panorama I got an error indicating that the .dng files are read-only.  Way over my head... Any ideas? Cannot find anything that either other than my General incompetence explain.

  You should check the folder permissions (not), because for the RAW files metadata owners written in a sidecar file.

  You should be able to create new files inside this folder and edit these files.
