HDSIO 16-bit data width

Hello Maude.  The data width attribute is primarily an attribute acquisition - you can call "defining attribute" and change its value only during the execution of acquisition.  You can always perform a 'get' to see that by default, the driver is for the sessions of generation; for a device to 32 channels, data width is 4, and all written in embedded memory waveforms will contain 32-bit samples.  If your channel list is 0-15, then only the first 16 bits of each sample are generated.

Regarding the example 4 bytes of return even if there is only 16 channels, you will see this behavior in acquisition as well.  The driver does not automatically fits width of data based on which channels are selected.  The functions of reading and writing are closely related to the width of the data (if the data width is 4 bytes, you MUST use a fetch U32 flavor or write)... so the driver does not try to guess fetch/write you will use by changing the width of the data based on the selection of the channel of the user.  However, a device of 16 channels (like the x 656) by default on a width of data 2.  A device of 32 channels (like the x 654) on a width of 4 data by default.  Given that most of the NOR-HSDIO examples can run on multiple devices, they all called 'get' on the data width attribute to determine what fetch/write function to use.

I hope this helps.

ColdFusion 11 allows the use of MS Access 32-bit data sources?

Well well, my first rhetorical question: is 2014, why MS Access? MS SQL has free versions that are much faster and more stable than any version of MS Access, I have no problem of migration.

Now to your question, 32 bit "should not be a factor." 64-bit applications can talk to most 32-bit applications through an API without too much difficulty. The only exception that I know are 32-bit applications that rely exclusively on the DLLs for their API - I don't "think" MS Access has this limitation. It was probably at least 15 years since I touched what whatsoever in dealing with MS Access so my hesitation to be clearer in my response. Good luck.

  • VMWare and Server 2008 R2 64-bit data recovery

    Hello

Y at - it no problem using the plugin of VMWare and MS Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) data recovery?  Whenever I try to back up a virtual computer with the operating system 2008 R2 on it, she returns with the error:

Failed to create the snapshot for VMName, error - 1 (unknown)

The status message in the Panel said recent jobs:

Cannot create a snapshot suspended because the snapshot creation operation has exceeded the time off I/O forholding in the frozen VM.

When I use the same application to save a regular 32-bit version of 2008, it works very well.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

Windows 2008R2 isn't an entirely guest OS support on vSphere 4 and VMware Data Recovery.  We are aware of the problem and must lean into it by a version update - for now, 64-bit Windows 2008 R2 is not supported.

I guess you mean to use 32-bit components ODAC on the client side. I've not seen this in practice, but it should be possible as long as we do not / cannot upgrade all clients to 64-bit.

  • Help: 8-bit data transfer

    Hello friends of data acquisition,

I have a complex programming project for which I'm looking for advice.    I have a good idea of what needs to be done and took I stab in the attached VI.   However, I have no experience with DIO, ergo, I am not confident in what I've done!   The target system is deleted physically for me, so my hope is that I can get some corrections and guidance from the joint forum before visiting the production system.   Right now I am simulating my offsite PXI-6259 with MAX.   Advice/comments/advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Sincerely,

    Zach

The task at hand = transfer a text string to an adjacent DSP system with 8 digital output lines.

    The requirements are:

    1. convert each character in a binary table of 8-bit ascii standards

    2. write the table 8-bit daqmx digital output lines.

    3. read the DSP System State occupied by entry digital daqmx, slowed down (low TTL) or busy (TTL high)

    4. wait for the DSP is inactive

5 generate a pulse TTL from 0.0003 sec to the line to "lock" the 8bits via digital output separated daqmx.

    6. Repeat until the entire chain has been sent

All in all, I have 8 lines for codes, a single line of DI for the status of the DSP and the other line for the impulse of 0.0003 strobe (lock).

I'll give up this thread...   I have made significant progress and am now testing the attached version.

  • dynamic double bit data conversion

It could be very simple, but I was confused. I have current data and average data as in code. I want to build the table using these data, save them on my hard drive and open in word with header (current and average)

    Problems:

I have data from two sources in lead generation and versions table as shown entry table to write on the worksheet vi. I get the error source is dynamic and double sink is a bit. It is the most difficult part of my life to find out what range of conversion to use.

When I run the vi (lets assume the good range of conversion is connected and there is no conversion error) pops up the dialog for path that comes up constantly on dialog

Ideally I want appears on the screen when I press on would go so that I can browse location to save the file, and once the path is specified vi works continuously and the data is written to the worksheet while vi is running.

Thanks a lot for reading and help

    See you soon

Welcome to the evil world of dynamic data. What you really want to use is the merging of signals feature. When you do this a dynamic data conversion will be automatically added between the signals to merge and writing on a spreadsheet file.

You can consider using writing to the file position as directly accepts dynamic data.

With respect to the path, use a shift register.

  • I use XP pro 64, but I have an access point in need of true 32-bit data. Is it possible to do?

I need output Excel spreadsheets .txt files because I have an access point that is able to accept only clean text files (not Word files, etc.).  When I do that on my system, the ap gives me an error that he sees the nonprinting characters.  I look at the file .txt with a hex editor, and I see that it is completed by the hex 00 between each character.  I know I can solve this problem by loading a 32 bit OS, but I can do on the latest data from get system the way I need it?

  • How can I transfer more 64-bit data to the target host?

Hi all, I currently use fpga PCIe-7851r card to drive my camera. There were 64 lines to remotely control. So what I did generates the commands on the host pc and transfer it to the target via DMA FIFO. The data type of the FIFO is U64, i.e. each digit control 64 DIO lines. But the issue becomes complex when I transfer 66 command-line. I tried to create 2 FIFOs, but I can hardly do the 2 Sync FIFO.

I think I might be able to create 2 tables U64, one contains the original 64 line, s command and the other for the 2 line (a loss) information. And then I have them interleave in hospitality and decimate them in the target. There should be enough cycles to it. But I don't think it's a good solution. Is there a better method? Thank you.

  • 16-bit data base software does not communicate with NT4 server on the windows computer 7.

We are a small manufacturing company. I installed old software database (16 bit) on windows 7 (64-bit) a year earlier. This software has worked for a few months and then it stop working. Database software still works on the old xp based computers, but it does not work on my windows 7. We believe that this database software is not communicating with our windows NT4 Server. It could be the update of windows 7, but we're not sure. I contact you because this database software is worked for two months on my computer and then suddenly stop working, it's strange, and now I am not able to install again. So is there someone who can suggest me what would be my next step.

Windows 7 64-bit is not a 16-bit subsystem or a way to install the NTVDM extension that supports. You need to install a 32-bit version of Windows 7.

  • Maximize the continuous digital data recording rate

I'm trying to record digital data clocked outside large amounts quickly.  The data is only for post-processing.  What is the best way to get data from the port on the hard drive at the fastest possible pace?

I connect using a PCIe 6537 B.  I log on 4, ports of 8 bits to 40,92 Mhz, so a rate of ~ 160MBytes per second.  I have two designs I've tried so far (a producer-consumer architecture and a DAQ.mx configure logging design).  Both models work if I connect only on two ports (effectively halfing the necessary flow) but fail to the width of 32 bits.

My producer consumer architecture fails after about 30 seconds of recording successful message

Error - 200613: Acquisition was stopped to avoid a crushing of the input buffer.

My other DAQ.mx configures logging design fails quickly (~ 1 sec) with

    200361 error: Overflow memory on-board

    .

I could be set it up incorrectly.  As I said, it works with 16-bit data width.  I don't know if the increase in the width of the data directly is the problem or if the increased flow to fail.

I use this on a 3 GB ram windows xp using labview in 2012.  I have attached the vi of my two attempts and a picture of the DAQ.mx set the logging design.

Well, I'd suggest the integrated PDM recording method would probably be you give best results, assuming that it works at all.  This record type opens a DMA channel of the material on the hard drive so it should not produce copies of useless data, which would probably be a producer consumer loop.

I never tried logging TDMS without reading the data, a Read DAQmx should be used in the loop?  Your file contains TDMS data?

The challenge of your hard drive?  It is a flat disk of laptop?  I recommend you test on a SSD, if possible, just to see.

There are also properties to open up to a size of memory buffer.

Start with one of the logging TDMS basic examples delivered with LabVIEW and work your way up from there.

As you can see the BIOS, see the two sticks of 2 GB, but it also shows that the BIOS supports only 3 GB of RAM? Would it not possible to Flash my motherboard with the firmware of another model of laptop computer? Or is there a BIOS update in the near future that will allow me to make use of my full 4 GB of RAM?

    Hello

Normally, the Satellite P100-160 supports 4 GB of RAM. If you check the user manual, you can find this information it can be upgraded to 4 GB of RAM with two 2 GB memory modules.

Just a question: how much will be shown in the BIOS directly? He acknowledges the full 4 GB of RAM?

And don t forget you can only use 4 GB of RAM with a 64 bit OS. If you use 32-bit OS, you can only use up to 3.2 GB of RAM.
Have you installed Linux 64-bit version?
