  There is no way, at a distance from the internet, for anyone 2nd guessing a qualified technician who had the BB in their hands.

  But... try Safe Mode:

  Reverse all that started happening.

  Also, how long do you wait before deciding that it is 'frozen' (sic)? If you are not waiting for at least 30 minutes, then you can not wait long enough...

  I had my Curve 8520 now for almost 4 years and now all of a sudden the password to unlock my device no longer appears. I'm not sure why this happened, but does me no favor, because now anyone can enter. I tried deactivating and reactivating it but without success.

  Ok thank you. Please understand that what I try to do is understand your situation... If I misunderstood it, I could give you potentially incorrect advice, some of which may indeed be quite catastrophic.   If something has changed on your BB to change how it worked before. Since you are not on BES, then generally it Content Protection or encryption... with those under tension, you must have a locking device assigned password. Since you can't remember everything that has changed, we will be then all first consider this as ' behavior strange coincidence "...

  Each time a random strange behavior or slowness comes, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.

  See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  Hi guys I recently got my bb curve 8520, but I noticed that it would be to randomly reboot without having to make a traction battery or the alt-shift-delete method me. There randomly restart twice I am I am very confused as to why she did this and when I rebooted, it started to the top of normal, but when I checked it again it restarts alone, help me please!   A change in the operating system can change the appearance and functionality. The latest version (and it will probably not be another) is OS 5. If you go to Options > on the 3rd down line will tell you the operating system current yours is running - mine is v5.0.0.681 are the latest from my operator (Orange UK).

  When you get to the part in the instructions to go on the web to find the latest version of your carrier it will also give you the choice of an earlier version. 5 OS is good, I have not heard the complaints of those upgrading the OS 4. ? I have heard many for those able to get OS 6 - the 8520 can not.

  As a fail safe module, if you are not yet on OS 5 and that you don't like, you can go back.

  The only other thing that could cause you a problem - BIG problem - if you do not have a backup. Oh and you can see that you already have the latest OS. This gap of PC and start again.

  Hmmm... Well, I suspect that they are related. However, inside the FaceBook App, there is a row of icons at the top. One of those is for the download of photos... Check them all out to see what they do.

  Is there a method (or program) I could use which will allow me to transfer my SMS messages on my PC and allow me to save in a format that I can read easily, for example a document word etc...?

  I have about 100 messages and I'm not fond of the idea of having to stay here and copy and paste in an email!

  My Blackberry has ceased to perform its synch. It gives me the 0x8004fcd2 error code. I tried to update my software of office in case that was the problem, but it was already up to date. I don't know what to do and I'm deaf, so I can't phone anyone! Someone had this problem?

  I just changed the inclination of AT & T for the Curve 8330 on Verizon's network, and so far I'm in love. I'm having a problem however, the "Media" icon is missing and I can't seem to get it back.

  What I tried:

  -"OPTIONS - ADVANCED OPTIONS - HOST the TABLES of ROUTING CLICK on IT. "MENU KEY-SELECT REGISTER NOW" fix.

  -The 'Email SETTINGS - SERVICE - SEND SERVICE BOOKS' difficulty.

  -Soft Powercycle.

  All to nothing does not.  The media icon is still missing. Any ideas?

  Nevermind, I'm a * beep *. Apparently the media icon has been moved to the file 'Documents To Go', and I just had to bring it back up to the main screen.

  Also by clicking on name by name (Contacts) in the world I can select my list of contacts synced from laptop backup on card sim as a return upwards?  Thank you all... try to charge the phone better this time.

  The media card is reserved for 'media'... as you say. Photos, videos, music, files/documents.

  You do not want to move your contacts to your SIM card, because the SIM card is designed to contain only a single name/one number and no email address, nothing else. Instead, make a backup of your old device using the BlackBerry Desktop Software and then restore this backup on your new device, if you had done a previous backup.

  Do you have BlackBerry Protect installed on the old device? If Yes, when you sign in to your BlackBerryID for the new device, you can use your BlackBerry Protect data to restore on the new device.

  HIII everybody... Since a few days what ever multimedia file arrives on my sound card be displayed in format of rem. I am able to use it on my bb, but whenever I try to the excess of my media card with my laptop, I cannot browse these files because they come from the real format which is unsatisfactory format in a laptop.   With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  I can't sync my torch media.  Desktop 6.0 keeps giving me the error: you must enable the device mass storage mode.   I went to options, device, storage and compatible USB Mass Storage.  However, Desktop does not give me the ability to activate Synch Media or display only the device can accept media.

  Finally realized that the peripheral loading USB storage driver for RIM was for 32-bit Windows version.  I have Windows7 64 bit.  Found the solution to manually update the driver here.

  Hello

  I left my new "BOLD" on a train (* beep *) and had to return to my old curve. I saved the "BOLD" on 08/05/2010 and hit the back upward. When I restore the curve that none of my media files (images) are restored is that because they were on the memory card? If Yes is there a way to back this up as well in the future, I assume that that would happen automatically.

  The technical answer is Yes! I treat my media card as a flash drive for most of the functions and I have

  usually, backup existing data to the PC. You only need work to do, and it helps

  you keep the map updated with new media.

  I think you'll see the option to save the media card in the Desktop Manager very soon

  the media Application is part of the operating system and cannot be deleted. You have one, but it can be hidden in the home screen icons.
