"do a custom (clean) installation for windows 7 home premium.

You say you want to install Windows 7, NOT Vista.

It is a better idea if you buy you the Windows 7 DVD and then install it from the media.

You then save model the work of making a Bootable DVD from the download and you also then have a reliable way to reinstall Windows 7 and repair work on this, if you have the need to.

Before purchasing Windows 7, make sure that your hardware and software will work properly with him.

Take some time and these checks:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Setup of Windows 8 consumer priview

Why when I run the installer for Windows 8 consumer preview on my computer of Windows XP Home Edition he says: "this platform is not supported"?

You can see this message if you downloaded Windows 8 64-bit and XP 32-bit. To start the installation of Windows 8, you will need to restart and boot from the installation of Windows 8 media.

If you want to keep your current installation of Windows, you can install it on a separate partition and dual boot with the Windows 8 Preview of consumer. To install on a separate partition and dual boot, you must create and boot from the installation media.

    (1) first you will need a free partition on hard drive - if you do not you can shrink a partition and create a new one to install Windows 8 Preview of consumer on.
To reduce a partition and add a new one that you can use EASEUS Partition Master (free):
    http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm

    (2) to install on a separate disk, you can perform an installation DVD or USB key, then boot from it so you can choose the other partition. To download the ISO file and install media:
Download Windows 8 consumer Preview ISO:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/ISO
After you download the ISO file - use the Windows USB/DVD Download tool to install media:
    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

    (3) installation on a separate partition for dual boot:
1 make a DVD or USB installation drive - to see the two options above.
    2. start from the DVD or USB install drive and click on install when prompted.
    3. during the installation process, when asked - choose a custom installation.
    4. Select a free partition on the hard disk to install Windows 8 Preview of consumer - this will install Windows 8 on a separate instead of your current Windows partition partition.
    5 continue with the installation.

    First of all please note:
1 consumer preview Windows 8 is a pre-release and will only work for a limited time - when it expires, you need to remove it.
    2. the overview of consumption is stable and has been tested, but it s not the finished product. Your PC may crash and you may lose important files. You should backup your data and you shouldn't test Windows 8 Preview of consumers on your primary home or business PC.
    3. If you install the preview of consumption on the Windows partition is currently installed, you cannot uninstall the preview of consumption. To return to your previous version of Windows, you will need to reinstall from the recovery or installation media supplied with your PC.
    4. in addition to dual boot, here are a few methods to install Windows 8 Preview of consumers without affecting your current installation of Windows:
    (A) remove your current hard drive and install the Preview of consumers on a spare drive.
    (B) install it on a spare computer.
    (C) install the Preview of consumer in a virtual machine.

  • How can I get an installer for Windows Vista drive?

    Need windows on a drive!

I have an acer aspire 5315 with OEM windows vista Basic. I want to perform a new installation of this version of windows on my laptop that there have been some problems (multiple annoying windows error codes) and want to start over. I have not provided with an installation for windows cd when I bought this laptop a few years again. I have a license for this laptop windows key but not drive! I am able to get one sent me free I paid initially for windows?  Thanks, Mike

    Hello

Contact Acer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

    https://secure.TX.Acer.com/rcdb/main.aspx?brand=Acer

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or ACER Alt + F10 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Be prepaired to reinstall all the software can also be purchased and installed (rounding up of multimedia installation and product key codes).

  • Is it possible to buy the installation for Windows XP discs?

I currently have an old desktop computer that is really slow.  I would like to upgrade my desktop computer, but do not want Windows Vista or Windows 7.  The majority of the software I have on my computer is not compatible with these operating units.  I don't want to have to buy all new software, just because I wanted to speed up my computer.  I was wondering if it is possible to buy for Windows XP installation discs, or is it possible to spin discs in Windows XP that came with my old computer to a new computer?  I saw the post on the Windows XP installation from diskettes.  I don't have a floppy drive, CD will work very well.  I'm just trying to understand what my options are.  I contacted Dell and discovered that if I want to order a new office with Windows XP, I'll pay a little more for the computer.

    See the Tech Geek response.

However, to directly answer your question, (a) well that installation of Windows XP CD are available for different sources on the Internet, it can be difficult to tell what you buy in fact and whether or not it is legitimate and (b) under Windows XP CD you have now, you may or may not be able to use them to install XP on a new computer.  In addition, there is no guarantee that there will be Windows XP drivers for all hardware on a brand new computer.

If by following the advice of Tech Geek, you cannot get your current running almost as well as he did when it was new, the best (and probably cheaper) option is to buy a new computer with Windows 7 installed.  Unless you use some small markets proprietary software applications, you may be surprised to learn that the software you have now, in fact, will work on Windows 7.

For example, you can get a Dell low end computer with a Core i3-2120 (3.3 GHz) processor and 4 GB of RAM with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit for $429.  If you really must use XP for your applications, you can switch to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit (which supports XP Mode) for an additional $ 70.

Compare the above to the price of a 'full' (i.e., not upgrade) version of XP Home to $249.95 (Yes, you can get it cheaper if you are careful about what you buy).

Of course, if you find yourself either do a clean installation of Windows XP (whether on your existing computer) or another or if you buy a new Windows 7 computer, you need the keys to media and product installation for all of your applications.

  • Why didn't - it not the center of solutions that installs for Windows 8 on a HP Officejet 4500 HP?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the update of the software of HP OJ_AIO_4500_G510n-z_Full_Win_WW_140_408 for Windows 8.  The HP Solution Center will not complete installation.  I went through the installation process 16 times in all conditions.  Same results, Center solutions HP shows and error that installation was not complete.

I bet that the first installation has no uninstall completely clean. There may be something stuck in the registry that prevents the installation ended as it should. Try using the brush included in the CD or download.

    Starting a download:
    1. run the disk cleanup on your computer
    2. download and run the software and the drivers below.
Driver and HP Officejet Full Feature software
    3. once the download is done retrieve, cancel the download.
    4. press on the Windows key + R to bring up the run window.
    5. type % temp % in the field of race
    6. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
    7 open the Util folder
    8 open the CCC folder
    9. run the L4.bat uninstall_ for computers not HP. For HP computers, run the Uninstall_L3.bat
    10. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
    11. install an Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup
    12. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

13 use this tool to clean the system and the registry. Note: This utility is not HP sponsored or approved. HP and I are not responsible for damage or loss of data caused by the utility. This step is optional. You can skip if you want.

    Hello

As it is a Custom Build by Ironside was computers, you will need to communicate with them in a way to reinstall the operating system, they are required by Microsoft to provide the purchase

You don't say if the COA sticker on the computer case is retail or OEM System builders license.

If by chance, they installed a retail license:

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys.

    ___________________________________________________________

    Otherwise:

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

    Or communicate with computers Ironside.

    See you soon.

    Hey Buddy,

You must download the Toshiba Utilities. It seems that HWsetup is part of it, you can read in the description:
+ This program allows you to customize the settings of your hardware, depending on how you work with your computer and the devices you use. To start the utility, click the Start button and select Control Panel. In Control Panel, select the icon Configuration HW TOSHIBA. +

  • Pregnant wireless Bose SoundLink has been integrated with success but don't connect/play audio via Bluetooth

    Separated from this thread.

How did you get your SoundLink Mini system works? I have the same camera, he paired, but does not connect properly.

I'm not sure it was a while back, but after having revisited the installation instructions, I think I uninstalled it to devices and printers by selecting 'delete device '.  I think that I also removed from the Blue Tooth device section in Device Manager.  I probably also removed the PC as a device coupled to the BOSE by pressing the bluetooth button on top of the soundlink speaker for I think that something like 5 seconds (see Manual)

I've then matched again according to the instructions of Bose.  Since then, he has worked perfectly.  I think that they don't make it very clear what is supposed to happen as part of the connection process when you want to use the device.  When the computer is turned on, press the power button on the Soundlink.  There is a small white light above the button on the Bose Blutetooth.  It starts flashing and you will get a single "beep" that it connects, the white light is solid and it is connected

Hope this might be of some use

  • Presario v3000 wireless lan and its drivers for windows xp

I need drivers for compaq presario v3000 wireless lan and sound for windowxp sp2. One mentioned on the hp support site will not work.

    Hi, Tarun:

Installation of the audio driver for your laptop is delicate.

Before you install the current sound driver, you MUST first install the MS. UAA driver

Thus, you must uninstall any audio driver that you have already installed, reboot, and then install this driver.

It is possible that you have scrambled the installation by trying several audio drivers and you can be better to reinstall XP and making sure that you install the Chipset driver first, then the video driver, then the MSUAA driver, then the audio driver and rebooting after each instance of the above facilities
