• 17 - e019dx: wearing a helmet is greater than Standard

  Audio port on my laptop is slightly larger than the standard of 3.5 mm.  Therefore, any standard headphones or the speakers won't work.  Wnat type device uses this port and is at - it a connector that will change from this port to a standard size.

  The three bands make a connector 4 pins and you need an adapter like this to plug a standard helmet old school.

  Just a quick question.

  Does anyone know how can I disable the sound of my Qosmio F50 external when I use headphones?

  Now when I plug in my headset to use Skype or listening to music, the sound still explosions out in the room. I can't understand how to turn off the sound without also disabling the sound in my headphones...

  I have the Qosmio F50-113 in front of me and I have tested al.

  When you connect the headphones/earphones for the first time the Manager Realtek HD Audio will appear on the screen and the small window in front of it.
  This small window will inform you you this new device connected and ask you what it should be recognized.
  There are three options:
  Headset
  Audio output device
  Output S/PDIF device

  The first headset option is set to default. When you click OK, you can hear the sound on the headphones but the laptop speakers are turned OFF.

  So I assume that there is a bad option, and you have probably disabled the option for this small window pop up.

  Please, open Manager Realtek HD Audio new (Control Panel) and make sure that the speakers tab is open. On the right side you will see the little icon. It looks like the folder icon. Click on it and select the option.

  So start the music and connect the earphones again. Whenever the pop - up make sure you chose option for headphones.

  So I tested it on Qosmio F50 and it works.

  Here is the User Guide for your HP Pavilion 11-n038ca.

  In Chapter 4 on Page 22, you will notice that gives you information on the Audio output (headphone) / audio (microphone) input and it said " ""allows you to connect powered pregnant option stereo, headphones, earphones, headphones or an audio cable from the TV. Also lets you plug in a microphone headset option. This decision supports not only microphone optional devices. «However, you must make sure what you buy, because you will also see that it says "NOTE: remember that the cable of the unit has a connector 4 pin that supports audio output (headphone) and audio (microphone).» »

  In Chapter 4, Page 23, it also gives you a small paragraph on the Audio use and connection of the speakers.

  Please read the information contained in the manual carefully to make sure you have the specifications appropriate for the type of external speakers, you need for your laptop.

• Internal microphone does not work do not

  I tried to configure my headset on my laptop to use as a microphone, and I went to configure in speech recognition. I set up the microphone to the laptop by mistake and now barley microphone picks up no sound and I can't it go back to its original state.

  It's ok there are two ways we can solve this problem:

  (1) change the recording device by default in a right click on the sound icon in the system tray and choosing recorders (image 1). In under record you and right click on the headset option and click on set as default.

  I suggest to set of speakers as default device and plug the headset, when you want to listen to music through headphones and connect the speakers when you listen through loudspeakers.

• I disabled the sound card that I think and I can not allow it now. Windows Vista Edition Home Premium / Fujitsu Lifebook A series laptop. No other changes made recently.

  Apparently, I disabled my soundcard by rt clicking on the speaker icon in the status bar on bottom screen rt system. Then I deselected the output device and selected the option helmet on the reading tab. I am getting no sound using headphones or my internal speakers. Now hovering above the "speaker" icon says no audio output device is installed. On the reading tab, I now have only the headset option. I have changed nothing. I use Windows Vista Home Premium on a laptop Fujitsu Lifebook series A. helping, please? THX.

  Thx for the help, in my particular case uninstall the sound card and then restarting solved the problem. It's a much simpler solution. THX Tho!

  The laptop has a single socket to the micro and headphones. (3.5 "4 female plug).

  The microphone and the headphones do not work together.

  If I plug in a device 4-pin microphone/headphone jack, popup a dialog to choose which type of device has been connected. It doesn't contain headset option. There are only micro, headphones, input line, options etc.

  That means the "etc" - there are additional options, that you did not include in your message?

  Try to download a new copy of Windows 7 Realtek audio driver for the Inspiron 15 3537 oft and see if it still gives you the context menu. Is the only driver Win7 Realtek Dell just to present to your model, so if you still get the same right choice popup an option then go the the playback and the recording of the sound Properties tab and manually select a default device in each tab. The computer sees the headset as 2 devices in any case, not only a single unit.

• helmet receives no sound

  Recently, I reformatted the hard drive and installed Windows 7.  Since that time, the sound comes not through the headphone jack.  Internal speakers not turn off when the headset is connected and I don't see the icon of headset anywhere in the audio device list.  Thanks for any help.

  According to the description of the problem, you are unable to get sound from headphones on Windows 7.

  Method 1: Please, try these steps and see if that helps:

  (a) right click on the speaker on desktop icon

  (b) click on playback devices

  (c) right-click on a field empty and click on view devices turn it off

  (d) now to see if the option helmet is available, if yes, highlight headset options

  (e) make implicit in using a drop-down

  (f) click apply and then click ok.

• Alienware 14 speaker sound

  I recently bought an Alienware 14 and he arrived this week, everything is great except for the speakers. Half the time, they will run properly and the sound quality is excellent, but the other half it sounds as if they are only half of the work and the quality of the sound is really bad.   I / m new to Captivate and I use vista OS with a USB headset logitech, but when I try to register I get the following error. I have no problems with other applications of e-learning for good sound recording.

  I tried to reinstall the drivers and reinstall cap 4 and I have disabled all services start. A whole other ideas? Note on test audio Cap 4 does not detect a voice of entry if the headset option is listed in the audio devices. In all the non-cap scénarion microphone input works fine (?)

• MacBook Pro 2007 Does not show the headset as an output option

  Hi all, I have recently restored a MacBook Pro 2007 for my college work and it works well... Except for one thing. The wearing of the helmet.

  I wish I could use my headphone port that I will do a Final Cut Pro here job and likely to spend much time in the classroom when playing audio through the built-in speakers will be disruptive.

  I've already replaced the left i/o board with a working version (as the previous owner had neglected it and broke a record in there.) Villain...

  If you're wondering, the computer is currently running El Capitan and it seems it well, apart from the question with the headphone jack. I searched in Google for this issue, and most of them seem to be much easier to solve because their use of the helmet IS shown in system preferences, while mine is not. A little weird issues really, especially as the line works perfectly fine! Just not the headphone port...

  If anyone can spare a moment to help me with this issue, I would greatly appreciate your help. I love my MBP. So, I want it to work as it should.

  Problem solved! A problem with the IO card. I've fixed since the question and making works normally.

• Headphone issues and options grayed out reading preferences

  The basic problem is that when I play music via iTunes, if I plug my headphones, it covers only playback through the computer speakers, not headphones.
  If I closed iTunes, plug in the earphones, THEN restart iTunes and play music, it will come through the headphones, but if I unplug, it is paused and not restart, even if I plug the headphones insert it again.
  Although I can change speakers headphones by stopping iTunes and restarting, I'm often trailing long playlists, it is not practical to do so.
  Other advice, it seems that I have to change the "audio playback" setting using "Session of Windows Audio' 'Direct Sound', or something similar, HOWEVER, when I go in Edition > Preferences > reading, the box is grayed out, and I can't change it.

  Any advice on how I can do so I can change the option, or any other fixes for the problem of helmet? Thank you very much

  Direct Sound is the vastly superior choice if you have several outputs such as speakers and headphones and now if have to stop iTunes whenever I output to the speaker.

  I have an early 2015 MacBook Air 13 "El Capitan (version 10.11.5) running

  1.6 Intel Core i5 to Ghz, 4 GB RAM

  When I plug the headphones into the 3.5 mm headphone jack, the system recognizes as being connected, but something strange is happening. It won't play audio on the computer or the web. For example, iTunes will just sit at 0:00 on the right track even if the play button alternate in the play "arrow" and symbol scoring break, but the track does not play. It's the same thing with web content in safari and google chrome. For example, YouTube and SoundCloud will be right there to 0:00. Even ads will not play.

  The audio adjustment recognizes the optional headset sound output preferences. I have a pair of headphones usb that works perfectly all the time. Operation of the speaker is never a problem via the speakers integrated or output with an external monitor via thunderbolt. There is no red light in the 3.5 mm hole. Headphones can even control the break reading with built in mic button function, but its simply change the symbol on the screen.

  As you know in 10 anniversary update windows, you can switch between outputs sound when the headphone is plugged directly from the sound icon in the taskbar, but it does not work as it should. If the headset is unplugged then the sound comes from the speakers and they are plugged in when the noise is coming from the headset and I can't select speakers. It shows two devices, but when I select one of them the speakers are selected. Also I tried to playback devices, but still, I can't put the headset as default playback device. She is forced to be like the only communication device. I've updated the audio driver but nothing has not improved. My audio driver is codec IDT high-definition. In addition, I tried the generic driver from the sound of microsoft, which is called "codec high definition audio" and it shows a device like speaker and it doesn't detect any helmet or communication device. So, what's the problem? I am able to use this option of windows 10 birthday or not? If yes how? I need this option because I use a headset a lot and I don't want to plug them each time.   If you remember, I had problem with the IDT driver after upgrade to windows 10 and other updates. I'll be back to tell you good news. Finally, I solved the problem partially and I'll explain what I did.

  Today, I found that there is some audio drivers in the microsoft catalog site, so I went out there and looked for a codec high definition audio. A list came and saw that there are three tempo IDT Audio driver that are compatible with windows 10. They are all IDT Audio driver version 6.10.6504.0 and they are made in 2015. I downloaded all the drivers of three and tested. The first two of them does not solve my problem but the last which is "Tempo driver update for codec IDT high-definition" made in 08/05/2015 with 13.1 MB did the job. I must mention that you need to install this driver on generic windows sound driver for good results. If you install hp IDT drivers probably do not get good results. After installing this driver now I am able to switch between outputs audio (headphones and loudspeakers). The driver can detect my headset exactly as what it is. He shows me an output until I plug in my headphones and it then adds another exit in the helmet. I put my headphones or internal speakers as default playback device which I couldn't do with other drivers. There are just two problems that does not matter much to me, and I can't ignore them. The first is the light of the button mute on the keyboard does not work with this driver which is not very important, and the second is that there is no Equalization of beats in this driver and instead there is an audio driver IDT, which is very similar to the equalizer, but it beats not affect only the internal speakers the headphones that is more important to me because the sound via the headphones is very clear and good. If there was some ablity to HP to change this driver and add audio beats and allow also the light on the button mute then it would be perfect. The link for this driver is here:
