  As you say he fell - there is possibility that your media is damaged. I searched on the internet and most said about changing the drive letters and fitness solutions in form, but my problem is that disk external drive does not appear in the "Disk management" section at all in any form.   I think that the integrated firewall router and dhcp server integrated are the first things to check. May be there are separate configuration for Ethernet and WIFI connections options. Check if your wireless connection is "default gateway" address when the computer shows that it is connected to WIFI. If no default gateway address is then most likely it's dhcp or confiuration problem your router firewall.
