  My Digital Editions works great for years (even through the migration from one PC to the other), then all of a sudden yesterday I could not download any new DRM protected EPUB or PDF files.

  I was running from Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2.1131

  Whenever I would get errors like:

  So I've upgraded to Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.3.117585

  Always impossible to download DRM protected books, but now I have a simple:

  "Error!" Check the Activation.

  I've activated all the time on both versions.

  Please... What is the problem?

  You can also try the steps below:

  1. install ADE 1.7 [your old version od ADE]

  2 remove the authorization of ADE [hotkey 'ctrl + shift + d' for windows or 'cmd + shift + d' for mac]

  3. install ADE 4.0.3.117585.

  4. in addition to AUTHORISE ADE, aid-> allows now computer.

  Hello friends, in CS3 indd, "Digital Editions" has NOT put in evidence, what happened? Also, I do an ebook using CS3 indd, how can I put indd files 2 in 1? If anyone can share links using indd CS3 to create the epub/ebook for ipad, it would be wonderful. I scanned and searched the sea of the internet of the "cs3 to create the epub/ebook for ipad" articles, I came empty. I felt that it was as if no one would use cs3 to create ebook for ipad. Thank you.

  Jongware is correct. There was significant updates for EPUB creation in CS4 and CS5, CS5.5 of MAJOR improvements. The field is changing too fast to effectively create the EPUB with the old software.

  EReader (.pdb) format is not currently supported by ADE or the RMSDK (software appliance factory use).

  Compatibile fictionwise files choose either Multiformat books (and get an ePub file) or books with either Adobe EPUB or Adobe PDF formats.

  I passed the age looking around screens help & forums here and I see that other people have problems with the epub files from 'Export for Digital Editions' (so it must be possible to make an epub file), but I can still access this option because it is grayed out in my file menu.  I have InDesign CS4 6.0.5 installed on my PC with Windows XP op sys.

  I have installed Digital Editions free Adobe (even if I have other software to play files ePub, for example, of my Sony Reader), but it made no difference. With my open InDesign document the option above is simply not available to me & nowhere wherever I can find on this site suggests how I can make it available.

  I hope it's something obvious to others, but I'm afraid I don't think InDesign to be intuitive.  I would be grateful for any help in getting this work.

  I use Acrobat Pro 11.

  When I go to properties, click the Security tab and look at the Document Summary of Restrictions said everthing "authorized." I would like to change some of them to say "unauthorized." How can I do to change this?  If it's any help here are the ones I want to say "unauthorized."

  Don't know why, but I revisited the problem and it seemed no no no program ADE so I thought I would try a new download. Program Setup completed and then low and here is one of my appeared on the screen! Seems to work very well it's version 3 I don't know what I was running previously. I hate computers.   Cannot allow a previously used Adobe ID.

  I downloaded Digital Editions 3.0 on a computer that has already been authorized with my Adobe ADE identification code has not included in this permission and said that the computer is not allowed.  When I try and authroise via ADE3.0 there a box for "eBook seller" who is grey so I can't insert anything, and when I finished the other boxes with my Adobe ID and password it returns an error of activation server with the code "E_AUTH_NOT_READY".

• I can't get the Adobe digital editions to install. It downloads but will not open

  I tried the adobe problems offers and still can not get it open. they have sent me to tell you that it seems to be a problem are not uncommon with some clients of window vista. I just got a meal and the need to get this downloaded. Thank you

  The following workaround solution allows you to install Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 on Windows Vista.

  • Download the installer from http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html.

  • Choose to save the installation files in a directory on your hard drive.

  • Go to the save location, right click on ADE_2.0_Installer.exe and select Properties.

  • On the general tab, click Unblock next to the security.

    
    

  • Click OK to apply the changes and close the Properties window.

  • Double-click on the ADE_2.0_Installer.exe to start the installation process.

  As an alternative, you can follow the cannot install Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software to download and install the Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software.

• Book of EPUP not opening not in digital editions

  I have installed digital editions on my Tablet android (JAY-tech) and it has worked before. Now it is just open new e-books, which I downloaded. It opens on my computer of windos, but weather I download from the library page oder transfer the download from my computer to the Tablet, it will not appear in the digital edtitions. I can click on download and digital edition opens, but it does not show the book, evenso sound in the same library as those that I have opend before. I tried opening and closing the app, reboot of the Tablet, different downloads nothing works. I do not understand and I do not know what else to. Can someone please?

  Did you open the eBooks without allowing? If so eBooks are related to this authoirze emty.

  To solve the problem:
  Start Digital Edition on your computer.

  CTRL + SHIFT + D.

  Accept that you want to delete allow it.
  Then reauthorize.

  But you don't want can open new ebooks that has open with empty authoirze.

  Windows:

  Open Adobe Digital Editions.

  Press Ctrl + Shift + D to Deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions.

  Navigate to / Users / / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.

  I use Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on a Windows 7 computer.

  I was using Adobe Digital Edition to read library books, then decided to allow if I could access my library of books about elsewhere. I downloaded a few books, and then I started having authentication errors. I couldn't erase the authorization through Adobe Digital Editions to try to do it again, I kept getting errors. I followed the instructions to change the registry, which withdrew the authorisation of old, and I can now, select "authorize computer". But when I enter my Adobe ID and password, I get the error message:

  "Digital Editions cannot connect to the activation server. Please make sure that you are connected to the Internet. »

  My computer is connected to the Internet - that's how I am connected to this discussion. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, Adobe Digital Editions, and the same thing happens.  Any suggestions? I prefer Adobe Digital Editions alternatives, but if this activation problem can not be solved I won't have the choice.

  I read through other similar positions and found one that says what they uninstalled 4.5 and installed 3.0 instead. I did this and was able to authorize ADE (no internet connection problem) and again to download eBooks from our library.

• Digital Editions can not handle two Adobe IDS - what can do?

  It seems that Nook close their UK operations and we are being passed to Sainsburys Entertainment instead.

  One of the conditions of the transfer is to download and install the Adobe Digital Editions software on the computer (Windows 7 Pro) then use it to "Allow" the computer and the meals, in order to download books first to the computer and then transfer them to the corner.

  I did all that, and it worked perfectly. I got an Adobe ID, ran and installed ADE, authorized computer and then allowed my Nook. I bought a book, downloaded and transferred on my Nook. All good - everything worked as it should.

  Then, I got an Adobe ID for my wife because she has a corner as well. Remember that ADE is already on the computer and the computer is already allowed, then now I connect sound Nook to allow it to his Adobe ID. ADE sees that there is a fixed unauthorized corner but the unique ID he must allow it with is mine, not hers and it won't allow me to enter its ID anywhere.

  Of course, this won't work because we have all two separate corners (now Sainsburys) accounts with different books in them and credit/debit cards to pay for them, so she obviously must have its own corner with its own ID - different is not?

  So, what do we do?

  In this case, it is possible that you create another user of your computer. For a new user request an authoirze own digital edition.
