  Hi Annmac,

  Generally, you will see a bar at the top of the page asking you if you want to allow pop-up windows. This happens to you?

  If this isn't the case, you got nothing to worry about. You can add an exception for the blocker. Take a look at this article and it will show you how to allow popups for a particular site.

  Please explain how is it that about 90 percent of Turner Classic Movies (home cable TV) come with closed captioning, but whenever the same movies are available online (e.g., YouTube), the cc is still unavailable?  Then, of course, there is the possibility of using the Google auto-transcription, which is a sequence of words scrambled for the most part, although I appreciate Google constantly trying to improve the technology on the Internet...  Does anyone know a website of classic movies where appropriate captioning is available?

  I suggest you look for the classic movie with subtitling site coded using the closed your favorite search engine.

• Hallo, my Firefox browser does not load youtube for some reason, the Explorer will be. I try to change the setings proxy as the firefox Help Center has suggested, but nothing helped. Also, no updates have been installed on firefox, I know. Pleas help me.

  For some reason any firefox stopped to load the site youtube for me. I can watch videos other people uploaded on facebook for example, but can not enter the site. Explorer is in charge of the site, so I tried to change the proxy settings in my firefox such as recommended in the Help Center, but nothing helped. Also, there was no update not installed I know, go to youtube by any link will just give me an error message saying: the connection was reset while the page is loading.

  I use a laptop of opportunity that has been the factory--update to Vista (I don't know the original operating system for this computer), but the centre is completely empty. On each page, I get the following messge:

  Y at - it a patch that I can install to get the Help Center? I have the same problem if my internet is connected or not. I think it's a mistake when the factory updated (they have not also add enough memory). I can't find patches for this when I searched.

  Create a new user (Administrator), and then log in as this user and see if the problem persists.

  Boot mode safe mode with networking and see if the problem exists as well.

  If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

  If this does not work, we will check your system and hard disk for corruption files:

  Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

  Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  Try to put all the corrupt files here so that we can see if they can be repaired with good copies of the installation disc (unless there are too many).

  While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  They tried to set itself to run at the next reboot.   Answer Yes and restart to run the program.  It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.

  If it does not, then thanks for posting error messages in Event Viewer on the help (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer).  Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.petri.co.il/vista-event-viewer.htm.  Look in the section system or Application.  I KNOW there must be errors each time it failed.

  Let 'see where that leaves us.  Please answer all questions and to report on all procedures in your answer and we'll see what to try next.  I suspect that we will have to do a repair system/upgrade.  You have a disk for Installation of Vista genuine?

  I found a solution that works for me, I think it's only a driver error. It is reproducible, and the solution is to create the correct folder structure. PM me if you need more information.

  The formulation of such a description could be better, but it is what it is.

  Help and support center does not open, msg says help and support service does not work, but check indicates it is enabled, but error msg says 1083, the program does not work?

  To get ideas that are not a wild-goose chase or a waste of your time, you should try to post the exact error messages you see and not paraphrase them.

  For example, you see a message like this?

  Windows cannot open help and Support because a system service is not ongoing enforcement.
  To resolve this problem, start the service named 'help and Support '.

  As long as the Service is not disabled (it can be manual or automatic), if it is not executed, it should start automatically as you open the help and Support Center.   It doesn't have to be set to automatic to work.

  You have checked and your help and support is not disabled, no?  If it is disabled, you will surely get that message, so it must be either manual or automatic.

  Where and how you see this message 1083 and what the program that does not work?  I don't understand that part at all if you need clarify the part.

  In addition, since the MS Answers forum still does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, you would be better served by answering a few questions:
