How do I allow a pop-up from a trusted site IE chat from my internet provider Help Center?

I need help with a problem with Shaw.ca- my internet provider. They have a chat online Help Center which I can't access because Firefox is blocing their popup. I can't find anything about him on my computer but I'm not very computer literate. I can't find any help on your website either. Please HELP QUICKLY >
Thank you
Ann

Hi Annmac,

Generally, you will see a bar at the top of the page asking you if you want to allow pop-up windows. This happens to you?

If this isn't the case, you got nothing to worry about. You can add an exception for the blocker. Take a look at this article and it will show you how to allow popups for a particular site.

Hope this helps!

  • How can I allow windows7 software intall from an unknown Publisher

Here's my problem. I just bought a new computer running windows7 home premium. I have a security system at home that I discovered through IE. In order to view my DVR server I need to install an ActiveX add on WinWebPush.cab. When I try to install IE tells me and I work around it and choose to install it anyway. Then I get a message that says: it has been blocked by windows because it is from an unknown Publisher and it does give me an option to install anyway. It's kind of ridiculous, there should be a way to install this software.
I changed all the Internet Explorer security settings, and it still doesn't work.
I've added the URL to the trusted sites list and it still doesn't work.
I found a few solutions for other versions of this problem in which it was recommended to change their group settings, but my version of windows 7 doesn't have this feature.
I was told that it can be authorized by modifying the registry, but nothing specific on how to achieve this.

This should not be so difficult, any constructive advice will be appreciated.

  • I lose mail during the change from my internet provider.

    Original title: switching emails

I change my internet provider shortly and have been informed that I will no longer be able to use this address, at the moment all my emails are on my email from computers (windows 8) but I wonder I will lose all these when I pass the provider and if so what can I do to avoid this problem?

You can backup your emails using one of several options, but you must do this using a program of desktop messaging such as Microsoft Office Outlook or Windows Live Mail (free) ($ 99 / year).

If you already have Microsoft Office Outlook, my suggestion would be to use it, because it makes archiving and transfer of emails easier.  But you can still do in the free Windows Live Mail too.

Basically, download and install Windows Live Mail, then open it.  It will guide you through adding your e-mail provided by the Internet service provider account and start downloading your email life.  It might take some time.

When it's done, you can go to file > export and save a copy of all your emails.  Later you can import them into your new account so all your emails are always in the same place.

    ---

There is another option, depending on where you want to host your email in the future.  Own Microsoft Outlook.com resembles an online e-mail program.  Like an e-mail program on your desktop, Outlook.com can connect to pull e-mail from any Internet service provider e-mail account and hold onto them for you.  Then he can put at the disposal of all of your devices (phone, PC, Tablet) these emails and keep them in sync.  And the part of Paris is that you need not even use an email address @outlook.com for this if you do not want, it is completely agnostic as a desktop e-mail program.

To try this option, go to Outlook.com and login with your account (the one used to enter this site) and you can add an account and get started.

It is my recommendation, because it means that your emails are safe online, even if your computer were to crash and burn :)

  • How to get populated on an import from the internet explore bookmarks bar

I just installed FireFox to replace iE 8 on a Windows XP computer. Then, I imported my bookmarks from IE 8. After importing, there was a whole bunch of little used (not used very often) bookmark in the toolbar. Why they are there and how is it that they are there? If I remove them on the Tools toolbar what I lose it permanently or is it still a bookmark in the list box dropdown bookmarks?

How I can pin the bookmarks to the left of the screen like IE 8?

    Kind regards

  • Lightroom will allow Scangear pop up with Canon 8800f?

I just bought 8800f gun that comes with PSE 5.0. Very old version since 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0, and 8.0 premium are already. Adobe will not improve as it comes. Thought PSE 8.0 but sales says Adobe LR would be preferable. Problem is that LR doesn't allow Scangear pop up from MP Navigator Canon is not and only PSE 5.0 will allow him. Scan of non-autonomous vehicles.

LR has many questions also positions and I have win7 64 bit and want more headaches. Messages say PES does not update, but newer versions so that Lr provides updates. Do not want to spend a fortune on PS and really don't want to lose too much time on the program that I use very little. Only want negative scanning, slides and photos and take the red eye, dust, scratches and tag to find them easily. I don't understand why Adobe makes it so difficult to do something most people like to do basic Scrapbook albums but digitally.

PSE 5.0 did not come with a book or anything besides she is so limited and obsolete already with the new scanner. When I tried to compare this version with more updated versions, that they don't even list it on the website, so it is obsolete. Why give me an obsolete software that has no drivers win7 with no info how to run it and no upgrade option? From my point of view, it seems rather ridiculous. Y at - it a scanning software I should use better is stand alone that will allow me to use any editing software. Do not say Acdsee, so they are behind the ball eight with win 7, they can't be taken seriously. Why should I buy Lr2 when beta 3 is already out for 5 months and still, they work the bugs? Are they really that much monopoly that they feel have to offer drivers for win7 or put the versions in due course?

    Hello

This is a user forum.  Adobe people declined from time to time they do not usually meet most of the positions.  I read your message several times, and I don't know what your question.  Most software vendors do not go back and update the old software if that was your question.  PS Elements being until version 8.0, which would be the one to try.  You will need to ask Canon why they gave you an old version of the software.  Maybe it was an old package?  As if LR will work with it, you can download a free 30 day trial of LR 2.6 and try and see.  You can also download a free trial of LR Beta 3.2 which is just out.  I think it's good until June.  You can try and see if it will work with your installation.

How to stop the irritating pop ups on the web sites, I searched using Fire Fox? My simple solution is to switch to Internet Explorer, it does not occur when I use for example

This looks like a problem possibly caused by malicious software on your pc. Please go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also, go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software you have in place and various other tools such as the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.
