  Do not validate the TEB, but you will need to include a conditional action advanced as action of success. I don't know if you also want to ensure that there is an entry? And what must happen even when another character was typed? I would like to create a custom rather than generic user variable attached to the ETB (easier to understand action): v_answer. And for this example I expect a click on the button submit, or use the shortcut entry (default for TEB). This will be the event triggering the advanced action

  On the next page, create two text containers (you don't tell what version? I say text container because you can use both a legend or a form) with the text you want to appear and hide them (in the properties panel). I have them tagged the txt_Excel and txt_Good.

  Your conditional action needs two decisions:

  First great decision

  IF v_answer is equal to A

  Go to the next slide

  See the txt_Excel

  Second good decision

  IF v_answer is equal to B

  Go to the next slide

  See the txt_Good

  ON THE OTHER

  Go to the next slide

• Help with Action is needed...

  I spent the last few hours trying to save a simple action to know avail. Here's what I did do my action:

  I open a photo. Click the new Action button. I name the action and then click Save.

  I then adjust the image using the auto tone, color and contrast.

  As I often have images of different sizes (widths and heights) and I want to end all upward with a height or a width of 400 pixels I use file/automate/made Image and 400 in these two areas.

  Photos for the web so I can save for Web and click on the button Save, save the photo to a different location from the original.

  Finally, I click on the close of the image box and choose "do not save" this pic is the original.

  I then stop recording by clicking on the Stop button.

  When I try to run the action on a folder of photos, the script runs and I see adjust the images one by one, but nothing is found in the destination folder. Without doubt, Miss me something simple in the last stages. Would be grateful for the help in getting this work...

  Rename the lot of the automaton? I use the function rename batch of the bridge, no problem.

  I created a button and used an icon saying "click here...". "the action I want to join him, is having on the mouse down to open the file that is attached to the document.

  Try this.  Attach the file you want to open in your main PDF.  Now, to add a button and in the dialog box properties on the Actions tab, select go to a Page view and click the Add button.  A small dialog box will appear to the top heading create go to View - don't do anything with it yet.  Now, double-click the attached PDF file to open it.  Now click the set link in this dialog box.  In the main dialog box, you should now see in the action area-

  Navigate to a Page in another document

  Attachment file:PDF

  I'm new to actionscript and I really could with little help please. I'm loading external movie clips in two different containers depending on which button is clicked. Sometimes, there may be two conatiners attached to a buuton click, while the other buttons may only need to download a video clip. Here is the action script, I've been using:

  Try to move these lines outside the function of the button:

  _root.createEmptyMovieClip ("container", 1);
  _root.createEmptyMovieClip ("Container1", 2);

  You can use 'this' instead of '_root'... that will save any problem if you never move it to some other films. In addition, move the x / y assignments right under these lines since they relate to them directly.

  So that this works, you should first actually integrate your application with the hub by using the UDS API which is now available in point 10.2.  One of the appeals of installation with this API tells the hub that your application supports new action message, which is finally being implemented by a call to a target particular bb.action.COMPOSE that your application provides.

  However, I believe that you must first request access to use this API, so they can add the necessary permissions to your signing key.  Once they do, I think they will also send you some more information and sample code.

• Need help on 'action' linked to a parameter to a property "presets list of design".

  I have a parameter (number type) for a workflow with a property like 'predefined list of the element. The property is bound to an action that returns an array of numbers. If I change the array of values in the action, the new values are not get refreshed in the menu drop-down of the workflow, the next time, when I start the workflow.

  When you have selected the action tp be defined for the list of pre defined elements, the lower part of the screen allows you to set the input of the action parameter (by clicking on the pencil icon) select attributes of workflow / entries. You can also manually change the yellow field corresponding to the call of the action with the addition of a few #attributeName the call() method (separated by a coma, if more of a single parameter)

• Help conditional Action.

  Ok.. so I found a video on creating a conditional action on ADOBE TV... Excellent. However when I get to the part where I apply it to a button I encounter THIS problem.

  

  ADOBE TV video is on the left... my screen on the right. As you can see, it applys the conditional action to the button using the 'ACTION' of the object properties section, but when I look for the same 'ACTIONS' menu in my CP7, apparently does not exist.

  You can find the settings for captions to show lower in the properties panel, under 'Options '. (Assuming that Captivate 7 has the same general layout than previous versions.)

• Help please: Action of arbitrary image rotation: 300 different folders, each at a different angle

  I have some 300 images, handheld shots all made whole studio on site. They all need varying amounts of image rotation, because they are portable. There is a beaded curtain in the background, manually I use the ruler tool, draw a line along a string of pearls and then image/rotation/arbitrary.

  I need to create an action that will be (1) arbitrary rotation and then save (2) and close the file.

  However, when I save it, the value of the rotation of the sample file I work, it's what is recorded (not surprising). In other words, if the image needs 0.28 degrees of rotation, this is not what I want for image B that needs instead of 0, 150 degrees.  The action saved 0.28.

  Is there a way to create an action that just turns the rule once I drew it?

  So, you straighten it the button in the Options bar.   The only other thing that you do would make action to press the button to straighten and close the image.

• Help! Actions on the buttons do not work?

  You must use the second approach, you described where you assign instance names and keep all the code in the timeline panel.

  I suggest that you concentrate on getting local assistance.  Ask questions and get help from the teacher and students who share the same burden you.

  "Click on" no longer works in the action script 3.0?

  You can not put the code on objects as you can do in AS1/AS2.  All code must be in the timeline or in separate .as files.  AS3 doesn't support not AS1/AS2 'on' code.

• Help with action scripts

  I have developed a website and I have problems with something that is probably very simple. I created several clips that expand and contract as you hover over them. I wanted to make a function/method when the user clicks, it leads to another scene from this movie. Here is the action script I use:

  Unfortunately, this does not work. I thought that maybe the method one (release) would not work on these video clips based on the action script that I was already using to expand/collapse the boxes, but the following code works fine:

  I'm puzzled. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to what I should do? Here is the web address of the page, I'm working, that's the movie I'm having a problem with.   _root.gotoAndPlay () takes a single argument,
  _root.gotoAndPlay ("scene 9", 1); doesn't work.

  Thus, gotoAndPlay can accept 2 arguments only when use without 'something dot' forwards.

  If Andrew script is attached to an instance of the button symbol, we use

  As Andrew attach the script to an instance of movieclip, it can use:

  {We (Release)}
  gotoAndPlay ("scene 9");
  }

  where the label to be the 1st image of 'Scene 9' even with the stage name.

  I heard a lot of people said 'scene' + 'script '=' buggy', but some times that I get it 'works '. What is your opinion?

• BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Software freezes with the message "Action Engine loading Configuration.

  I have Windows 7 Professional. My Outlook profile is stored on an Exchange Server and my Blackberry had previously beeng synchronization with Outlook in this configuration for nearly a year without problem.

  Recently, the software freezes the message 'Engine Action loading configuration' and is unrecoverable. I tried the following things to remedy the situation:

  (1) adjust the settings Organizer not to synchronize anything except the date & time. Still happens

  (2) remove all data from the device using Desktop software and try to resynchronize. Same problem

  (3) uninstall and reinstall Blackberry Desktop Software and try to sync with all of the original data and the empty deleted data Blackberry. The same problem.

  (4) tried to wipe off the full blackberry using Cmdr of JL, reinstalling the operating system. In this scenario, I can synchronize addresses, but once I sync calendar problems from ever happening and I can't ever sync it again (including later by deselecting the option of calendar.

  At that time I spent hours scouring Google for help and try the above items. This was a disaster for me because I rely on synchronization had given for work and have already from lack of things.

  I do not think there is something wrong with the Blackberry, because it works very well and works perfectly well after re - charging a fee, OS, etc.

  I tried to play with the balls of support, but because the software freezes before can synchronize calendar, there is nothing in the log that indicates if there is a file corrupted in the event calendar. Nothing won't change significantly in my calendar between synchronization worked and the day that he didn't.

  I tried searching the Blackberry forums and have found some info, but nothing useful. RIM does not provide phone numbers and support AT & T has continually demonstrated himself as worthless during my time with them.

  Are there resources left at all that I could try to move beyond this issue, don't waste any more time and be able to solve the problem?

  I ran 'Fix' on the memory card in the Blackberry
  Ran CCleaner on my PC to clean the registry
  Reset synchronization in the Desktop Manager settings

  Finally finally I'm the synchronization again.

To the best of my knowledge, the TS engine will update Step.Result.Status property. I want to get this status and use it in my IO. How the engine works TS transfer the result of the step to the IO (or the sequence editor)? I read on user interface messages. TS engine automatically sends a special Message from UI?

  No, there are no special UI for this Message.

  What you can do is to define your own customized for that user interface Message. Take a look on the TestStand reference manual page 3-15. You will find an array of components of step ordered by the execution. You can see that action no. 17 is the execution of the expression of the State. From that moment, the step should have its result. Therefore, you can use the step callback after engine (action no. 18) to send your Message to the custom user interface.  Another possible recall would be the recall of motor PostResultListEntry (action no. 32), which is the last point to transfer information.

  Regardless of the above info: why don't you use the SequenceView element and simply expel everything except the name of the step and the result column?

• parallel proceedings with a motor of Action

  I just wanted to see what kind of ideas, it would bring to this issue.

  I have an AE that holds all pointers (or Referances) than 20 cases of use of reentrantVI in parallel. The question is obviously the execution speed as all instances are waiting to read the AE (and probably a bunch of other questions I have not ecountered yet).

  I've placed an example of EI I use where I also shows HOW I use it on a bigger picture.

  Please DO NOT RUN the example, just open it and see the comics, that's where I tried to put all the information and it was the best way I can think of to explain the problem.

  A few thoughts:

  -You can make copies of the segment every time you add or start treatment. If the segments are important, this could be a long time. As others have suggested, a queue, or an array of digital recorders could leave your hand the data without making a copy. Also, by storing the segments as a large table, is not necessarily effective. Are there how many segments? If you need to browse through a wide range to find the next available, which could also be slow.

  -How did you decide on 20 parallel case? This could be too - the computer can spend too much time swapping them, or if you think that, because they are blocked on the engine of the action only a few are all in fact both run.

  -Remember to reverse your model. Instead of having multiple parallel instances each application a data segment, have rather the engine action call parallel workers, each of them the next available data segment.
