Hi gmrad,
Follow the steps in section 1 if you have Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) or Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) installed on the computer. If this isn't the case, please follow the instructions step by step to the second article.
Alternatively, you can also contact Dell Support.

all you need is an application called "Remote Desktop Connection", it comes pre-installed in windows 7, if you have windows XP home, you can't get the remote desktop, but if you upgrade to XP Professional you can.

I can't find any help to fix my information bar in Windows Mail. It's like a split screen display. A suspected email "phishing" shows the warning in pink on the left side but right, I can still see the partial list of the names of "recipients" email & addresses. The button to unlock does not at all. There is no error message and it started 2 days ago. Do I need to reinstall the program, and if I do, could you provide me with information on how to configure Windows Mail once more.
Thank you!
Windows Update forced the installation of IE 9, and that's why you see the problems. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#15 for workarounds.

You can try the following steps and check if it helps:
Method 1:
You can read the article and check if it helps:
If you have already run the Fixit from the link, then try the manual steps to change the registry settings and check if it helps.
Important: The above link contains steps to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

WHEN I TYPE IN A HELP TOPIC AND CLICK SEARCH, I ALWAYS GET A MESSAGE TELLING ME RESEARCH TOPIC NOT FOUND AND BELOW WHAT HE ALWAYS SAYS THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HELP TOPIC I PAT ON THE SEARCH BOX, I STILL HAVE THE SAME MESSAGES

Hi JohnRobertsonVS,
Method 1
Refer to the Microsoft article to download and install Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe), check to see if it helps.
I can not open Help files that require the Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe)
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/917607
Method 2
Try the method below and see if it helps.
a. Open a command prompt window and run the following command:
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
b. Press ENTER.
Note: To open a command prompt window, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click run as administrator.
Method 3
If the previous step fails then I suggest that scan you SFC on the computer that would be a corrupt system file search.
The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows Vista installation CD.

This behavior is caused by a corrupted or damaged HH. DAT file.
This may occur if Antivirus or a firewall, you have installed the program it blocks.

Help! KERNAL_STACK_ERROR Windows Vista
Hello. A complete fool with computers, I got a BSOD arise these last time, and I'd love to help solve. I am running Vista Home Premium Service Pack2, 32-bit.
I read some solutions for similar situations but 1) they seem too complex, and 2) I don't know if they apply to this specific scenario.
The bluescreen reads as follows:
KERNAL_STACK_ERROR
Technical information: stop 0 x 00000077
(0XC0000056, 0X0F2EB000, 0XC0000056, 0x00000000)
I have deleted a newly installed software and have run Nod 32, who showed no virus. I do not have the Vista disc to reintall the operating system, just the DELL installation and diagnostics disks in my Inspiron 1525. I ran the diagnostic disk and it stalls on the bar of the 83% say:
Error code: 0F00:0232
MSG: Block DISK-0 608768 Time out waiting for the IRQ
Then it stops again with the same message to block 608769 and 608770.
Can someone help me fix this problem in simple terms, if you please, or propose a plan of action that is idiotproof for a novice like me?
Thanks in advance.
Hello
It could be that the problem is due to some bad sectors on the hard disk. I suggest you to perform a check disk on the system from the recovery environment and check.
Step 1:
a. boot in the recovery environment. Check the steps that are mentioned in the link given below.
What are the system recovery options in Windows Vista?
b. Select the command line and type in recovery options.
(c) to fix the errors, look for bad sectors and recover readable information, at the command prompt, typechkdsk volume: /r, and then press ENTER.
Thanks and regards.

Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
