  I have a vmware (running ubuntu server 9.04) image that was created with a vmware server installation varsion 1.0.9. now I decided to upgrade to the host, which means that the host totally changed: new equipment, new OS, new vmware-server-version: 2.0.1

  My problem atm is, I may not know, what would be the appropriate access rights (chown/chmod) for this vmware image. during the installation of vmware server 2.0.1 I was asked to specify some 'administrative user' where I took the an im working with Linux itself (lets call it "user").

  so, when I copied the old vmware image in the data store (/ var/lib/vmware/VirtualMachines for me), chown-ed the folder including all files init by A, setting chmod to something like 600, the console vmware (web surface) told me that there were several problems with the image and couln can't be started etc. etc. etc...

  I played with several rights to the image and the only thing that seemed to help was setting the folder and all files included in 'root' with the command chmod chown '777'... not what I would call 'secured '.

  so: how to set the access rights for the virtual machines? I want that they have only minimal rights as possible and especially nothing like root: 777...

  My static VM files, as in those who are not dynamically created when the virtual machine starts, are the property of root, root of group with permissions of 711. Root is the user that I have chosen as the admin user when you run vmware - config.pl. My users do not have direct access to this server, so I'm not too worried about the permissions. You can give different rights for different users to different virtual machines, creating roles and their allocation to users/groups.   Here's how to change the default template for a folder:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70819-windows-explorer-folder-view-settings.html.  Default behavior is to select the model based on the first type of file placed in the folder (you must choose something).  Vista sets thefolder type template according to what are the types of files in the window and the settings display window Explorer. • need help to find the folder of firefox on iMac

  New to this bear so please with me.  Here's the situation.

  I was getting malware and understand how to get rid of it, ok so far.

  Then I noticed that my sites kept has the question 'connection' in the top bar.

  I was trying to figure this out when I followed some information 'to a point' - big flaw here.

  I caught and then drag to a folder that was causing my problem.  It was not the case.

  I think it was my firefox profile folder, but the folder is not sure - klzqb90r.default.

  Put in the trash.  Oops again.

  Tired opening Firefox - come with LACK of PROFILE error message - your firefox profile cannot be loaded.  It may be missing or inaccessible.

  I think I got it but now, just do not know where to put it.

  So, read more.  Search for the library and the firefox folder, is not there.

  Now I am panicking because I can't open firefox to do 'something' to him to try to find my profile / refresh etc.

  Ideally, the CMOS battery should solve this problem, but in this case, it seems that the new CMOS battery does not work as expected.

  When a CMOS Checksum error occurs at the start of the system, this could mean that the system has been restored to the default factory settings. CMOS contains data related to the BIOS and may have been reset. It could also resolve the problem by resetting the BIOS. The problem may also occur due to the depletion of the CMOS battery.

  To solve the problem, it is recommended that you update the BIOS firmware, based on the make and model of the computer, I ask you to contact the computer manufacturer to obtain the latest BIOS updates.

  Note:

  BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  If the BIOS update does not help, it is perhaps due to the fact that the battery powering the CMOS (when the computer is off, it allows the CMOS store information), is sold out. You can consult the hardware manufacturer or the store local tech for more information on the question if the new battery CMOS works or not.

  I've recently updated to Mac OS X Yosemite and I now get a conflict with my Neue Helvetica postscript fonts and system fonts.

  So I turned off the activation of postscript Helvetica Neue fonts (I use FontExplorer X Pro 5) and put these fonts in the folder/Applications/Adobe InDesign CS6 / Fonts. This solution worked. Conflict of policies went away and I could happily use my fonts in InDesign.

  However, I need to use these fonts in other Adobe applications also. So I was wondering if there was a record of general policies for CS6.

  I read online to a folder/Library/Application Support / Adobe / Fonts but perhaps it is an earlier version of Creative Suite, because I can't seem to locate it.
