  Hello - when I look in the bios for the compaq mini 110 c, it shows:

  Boot Priority Boot Device 1st - disabled Devixce

  When I hit enter then displays:

  SATAM - WDC WD1600BEVT-60ZCT1 disabled

  As I sat at a white screen with a cursor blinking with only the f9 and f10 options, I'm looking in the bios.  This information is correct?  If this is not the case, how can I change?

Installation of update 1 of 1 "for more than 6 hours.  (It is still in progress!)  I'm currently in Shanghai, then holding a store of the computer seems unlikely, but I need this machine.  (Fortunately, I can use a computer at the University for some things, but not all.)

  Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or EliteBook have more strict security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.

  If you contact HP Business support, they may be able to file a custom SMC.bin that you can use to reset the password at startup.
