    Hello world
I want to completely upgrade my toshiba satellite U300-140, mount VISTA and default the technical features, posted above.

I need your help to choose the best (and economic) device SSD and RAM slot. It is very important for me to know what is probably compatible with my device. Please, could you help me in your experience?

And... an SSD is worthy, at the speed of my laptop? I was thinking about kingston 120 Gb or 240 GB V300

According to specification for laptop, you can be upgraded up to 4 GB RAM in order to use 2 x 2 GB of RAM. The compatible RAM modules have PA3513U-1M2G part number.

I think with SSD, you shouldn't have any problems. I updated my old P500 with 250 GB Samsung 840 SSD and it works perfectly.

    > I want to upgrade the ram and the new graphics card

Upgrading RAM is possible but the graphics card is unable to be updated!

If you want to upgrade the memory you could update to 1536 MB max.
The A60 supports 512MB internal memory and it is so that one memory slot where the extra RAM module can be inserted.

    These modules are compatible:
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

  • Equium A60 runs unstable - how can I upgrade the memory?

I have a friend visit me who has an Equium A60 which is very unstable when she runs multiple applications. I checked and it has only 192 MB of RAM. Can be increased and if so how much. How many slots are there on this machine?

She is currently in the USA and I checked on Toshiba USA website and cannot find this PC is listed, so it should only be sold in Europe. It would be useful if someone could tell me what kind of memory it takes so I could look for it here. She is a student and in great need of a stable computer for his studies.

Thanks a lot for all the help in advance.

    Hello

Of course you can upgrade the memory.
I guess you have only 192 MB memory main because the laptop came with 256 MB internal memory and the 64 MB are shared by the graphics card! This is why only 192 MB are free.

Anyway, as I said the laptop came with 256 MB internal and memory is not removable.
So only one slot is expandable!
If you can upgrade the memory for max 1280MB (256 MB + 1024 MB)

    You can use the modules:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

Do you know where is the crack?

The slot is placed at the bottom of the device! The cover is fixed with a screw.
Remove this screw and you will be able to open the slot and improve memory.

PS; I think that upgrading memory is described in the manual of Toshiba that was preinstalled on your laptop.
Alternatively, you can download this manual from the page of Tosh

    Hi all

Just a question to those in the know.  I need to know how to upgrade the ram in my computer g series hp laptop pavilion.  Cuurently has slightly less than 4 GB, but ideally need at least 8 GB minimum.  I can do and where can I get the chipset (think that's his name) and an idea of the cost, it is also an easy task?

    Thank you very much

    G6-1325sa?

    G6-1325sa sheet

Said maximum 6 GB but users regularly report success with 8 gigs.

    Download your service manual here

See p. 54 for a photo showing how to upgrade the memory. You have the module one 4 concert and an open slot. You can add a 2 gig for sure to make 6 GB and very probably add a 4 GB to 8 gigs.

This is the part number for the 4 GB module:

    621569 001

    4 GB module on amazon.com

    2 gig

    Welcome to the forum!

Honestly, as long as you stay away from offers "value RAM" (Kingston and Corsair are known for these) your X61s will do very well with any appropriate RAM which corresponds to the form.

  • The upgrade of memory in my satellite L100-186

I had my L100-186 satellite for over a year and have decided to upgrade the memory.

I bought 2x1GB sticks and put them with no problem. Unfortunately it is not now start up. I returned two sticks, assuming that 1 was defective, but having received new sticks with the same problem, I guess that's not.

I tried the two stick in themselves and they work. They both work in each of the clips as well.

Someone has encountered this problem before, or someone has a solution to this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Can anyone help?

Port memory I found is on the underside of the machine and remove the access screw according to the user manual. It takes only one piece of RAM that I can see. I still need to remove the 512 MB supplied with the machine.

    Hello

You are right about maximum memory. Your laptop can handle with 2 GB RAM max. A slot of memory is placed in the lower face and the second under the keyboard.

To be honest, you should check if the warranty is still valid. If so you should not do anything alone. It will be very bad for loose warranty valid.

If you want to continue to do so only thanks for posting again.

  • Satellite A305-S6857: is it possible to upgrade to 8 GB of RAM

Current installation is 4 GB of RAM (2 by 2)...
Is it possible to upgrade to 8 GB of RAM? (2 * 4)?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

Here you will find a data sheet of this laptop

    [Detailed satellite A305 Specification | http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/product/pdf_files/detailed_specs/satellite_A305-S6857.pdf]

As you can see there's something about the max RAM: maximum capacity 4096MB

Therefore, 8 GB RAM upgrade is not possible.

  • The HD upgrade and memory issues - Satellite P200D - 10 p

Don't cancel the warranty if I upgrade the hard disk and the memory of my laptop?

Also is there anyway to merge two partitions on my hard drive into one without having to reformat the whole disc? For some reason, the hard disk was split into two. The installation of Vista on a 73 GB and I have 74 GB free on another partition.

I want to upgrade the memory from 2 GB to 4 GB. What are the compatible memory modules (I model P200D - 10 p)?

    Hello

By reformatting the hard drive you really upgrade the HD and increasing memory is a fairly simple process, so you should not invalidate your warranty.

However if you open any part of the laptop including the crypt of memory you should make sure what you are doing and can get compatible memory, preferably set in correspondence cards.

The software you need to merge partitions on your hard drive while running Vista is "Paragon Partition Manager. Symantec Partition Magic does not work with Vista. You don't need to reformat your hard drive, but you'd be advised to backup your critical data before the merger. A word of warning before you do anything, if the second partion maintains records of resettlement for Vista if you encounter a failure, then after you merged the two partitions, the files will remain but the relocation will not work. This is because when you insert the disc to reinstall it will search that partition. A round way, that it is to make an image of your drive before you do anything, then you can always copy of backup image and reinstall your Vista back to the factory setting.

If you have noticed that I posted above ask you about a memory problem because I also want 2 GB to 4 GB, but it won't have it.

    Hope this helps

  • 8 GB of RAM for DV4-2045DX memory: 8 GB RAM Chip Notch does not fit HP Pavilion DV4 - 2045DX Entertainment Notebook

    Sir/Madam,

Hello. My laptop is HP Pavilion DV4-2045DX Entertainment Notebook with 4 GB of memory which is 2 coins in 2 locations inside the machine.

Because 4 GB of RAM is not enough to run my system now, I need to upgrade the memory of 8 GB that is 2 chips with 4GB RAM each in 2 slots.

I bought RAM 8 GB chips online ordering
    http://www.seifelden.com/8gb-2x4GB-memory-RAM-for-HP-Pavilion-dv4-2045dx-laptop-memory.html?fee=39&f... .

    Item number: SoDimm_DDR3_2X4GB_B3377

After I pulled out the existing RAM chips, I tried to put the new RAM 8 GB chips in 2 slots, but it does not fit the slot. The detail is that the size of the entire chip is shaped, but the notch on the long side of the upper part does not fit the clip into the machine.

I tried to move clip to match the notch in the RAM chip, but the clip cannot be moved. I guess that there is a mechanism to adjust the clip to match the notch in the RAM chip, but I don't know how to do it.

    My question is:
Could you please check why the 8 GB RAM chips do not have HP Pavilion DV4 - 2045DX Entertainment Notebook?

How to adjust the clip to match the notch in the RAM 8 GB chip?

    Thanks in advance.

It of still expensive but a little more like it:

There are several options on Amazon.com. Just look for DDR2 SO-DIMM.

I upgraded my card mother cpu ram and hard drive. I reinstalled windows xp home edition has got all of the updates. After 9 latest updates download and installtion was going well until I rebooted the computer and go to page window showing all the icons that I get a blue screen and the computer restarts its self and does not stop. How can this be corrected?

    Hi KevinRy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    Unplug all external devices.

Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.

Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:

    1.

Right-click my computerand then click Properties.

    2.

    Click the Advanced tab.

    3.

Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.

    4.

Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.

    5.

Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.

Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.

    Kind regards

  • Upgrade of memory issues

    Hello

    I have HP Compaq dx2200 system and two 512 MB DDR2 Synch DRAM PC2-5300 (667 MHz) stiks Non - ECC (1 x 512 MB).

So, I decide to switch to 2 GB and I bought Kingston PC2-6400. Also, I bought two PC2-6400 1 GB stiks.

Well, but after I installed the first 2 GB is the system beeps constantly.

So I try to install two other stiks from 1 GB - the same problems!

Y at - he of the uncompatibility?

    Any help, you will enjoy!

Yes, a compatibility issue is exactly the problem you are experiencing. Plug-ins must match the original modules in all respects. They must be of the same manufacturer, same capacity and same type and speed. (Synch DRAM PC2-5300 (667 MHz) Non - ECC).

Install identical memory modules only if you want to upgrade the memory successfully and without surprises. If you can't find the identical memory modules then buying two modules of 1 GB guaranteed compatible. Remove the original 512 MB modules, put the new guarantee compatible memory modules in its place and its startup in Windows.

Source modules by searching online I did below

Is it useful to upgrade the memory on the Satellite M70 - 394? Where the best place to buy it and what I should go for? How will this affect my laptop? It will void the warranty at all?

    Sorry for so many questions

    Hello

First of all it s worth it to upgrade the memory for portable computers. The increases in performance and the operating system should work better and faster.
Well, I checked a few websites, and it seems that it is possible to upgrade the memory on this laptop to max 2048 MB (2x1024Mo)

As far as I know the laptop came with a 512 MB module. In this case, the second Bank is empty. The memory location is placed at the bottom of the unit. If you want to upgrade the memory to remove the slot cover down and carefully insert the module. I think you'll find instruction how to handle the upgrade memory in the user manual.

In addition, you can order the compatible modules form the Toshiba service partner. In this case, you will be sure that you have taken in charge to 100% and compatible modules.
