The upgrade of memory in my satellite L100-186

I had my L100-186 satellite for over a year and have decided to upgrade the memory.

I bought 2x1GB sticks and put them with no problem. Unfortunately it is not now start up. I returned two sticks, assuming that 1 was defective, but having received new sticks with the same problem, I guess that's not.

I tried the two stick in themselves and they work. They both work in each of the clips as well.

Someone has encountered this problem before, or someone has a solution to this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Jon

I wonder why you start not two different threads on the same topic?  :|
It would be desirable and recommended to only post in one thread because this would simplify the debate.

No, it is not possible to s. The technology of the laptop is different as desktop computers and therefore you will not be able to update the graphics card.

  • On the upgrade of memory - frequency

    Hello

I have a laptop Pavilion Entertainment PC, part number GT811AV (even if it is recognized as GP236AV), Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit and I have just successfully upgraded its primary HD to an SSD and he brought a very significant improvement. Then I think of the memory upgrade. It now has its origin 2 GB RAM (2x1024Mo), 667 MHz 200-pin PC2-5300 and I want to upgrade to 4 GB (even if Vista 32 bits can not use all of it).

But and here's the reason why I write this, I want to know if I can pass a 800 MHz, PC2-6400 memory, instead of the original at 667 MHz, PC2-5300. I looked in the BIOS of the laptop and memory all parameters have been removed by HP, my laptop has a paralyzed BIOS (I wasn't aware of this until now, 4 years after I bought the laptop...), so I can not manually change anything in the BIOS on the parameters of memory.

My question is: if I replace the original with new faster memory, laptop memory automatically detects it and be able to run it at its frequency of 800 MHz by default? I hope that the answer is yes because my laptop's processor is a dual core T9300, who has a FSB of 800 MHz, it should be compatible, I suppose.

Anyone has experience with this issue, which could clarify for me?

    Thank you

    Andy C.

You are the very welcome, Andy.

You can see all 4 GB since the PC can handle 8 GB maximum.

I have a HP dc7800 CMT with Vista 32 bit desktop PC.

I installed 4 GB memory PC2-6400 and Vista sees all the 4 GB.

This is because the dc7800 can take a maximum of 8 GB of memory.

Legally, you will need to buy a 64 bit OS, but the product key will work on it.

  • Wireless connection of satellite L100-186

    Hi all
Have a laptop L100-186 FINALIS, I connected it to a desktop wireless using a Linksy BEFW11S4 router, my office can see my laptop and I can access the files and general networking, but my laptop does not see the office, he keeps losing his wireless signal, he can see the router and spikes upward as a device It does not connect on the web or the desktop? any ideas?

    Cheers, eskimo

    Hello

    I cannot provide a comprehensive solution, but I can give you some useful tips;
I think that if you want to communicate wirelessly with another computer, you must disable all firewall settings.
Also check if the connections in wireless computer-to-computer (ad hoc) option was selected.

    > my laptop cannot see the Office
Have you checked if you set rights right on the desktop? If you don't see any records, I would recommend this review!

  • Transfer of data to low with the stick of memory on a Satellite A100-207

Hi, whenever I stick the memory stick for my Sony Ericsson P990i Smartphone in my laptop it says that he has detected new hardware and needs to restart to use.

I was expecting a little the first time, but it does EVERYTIME now. Which means the transfer of files on the memory stick takes a lot longer that it should and it's much easier (but much less suitable) to transfer via my network on my PC to the main house and use the card reader in my Epson printer to put the files on the memory stick.

Someone knows why this happens and how to stop it. I need to update the files on the memory stick as they are published on the laptop and the phone (via QucikOffice which comes pre-installed and allows editing of word and excel files).

Any help or ideas is appreicated.

  • Where to buy the upgrade of RAM for my Satellite M30-344?

    Hello

I want to upgrade my RAM from 512 MB to 2 GB memory. After reading in the nets, he would say the PC 2700 DDR SODIMM (33135 PA-2MIG) would correspond to my laptop. Anyone know where to buy it? could not find it on ebay and other suppliers of portable... Is it too old and trade off already?

    See you soon,.

    Kat

    Where to buy?

Hey buddy don't you hear something on the shops online, amazon, ebay, etc.  ;)

If you know what Rams are compatible, then simply google for some nice offers.

You can also buy it at a computer retailer in the city center

As you can see, you have more options.

    Good bye

  • Can not find the second slot memory on my Satellite M40x-112

    Hi people,

I want to improve my memory, preinstalled are 2 sticks of 512 MB. In the description it is said that the maximum is 2 GB so I bought 2 x 1 GB, unfortunately I can only find a housing... Is someone can you please tell me where is the other?
    Thank you

    Welcome,
    Sebastian

Well, I found information that one slot is USER scalable. This means that the user can upgrade the memory only in a slot located at the bottom of the unit.

I guess that the second location is hidden somewhere under the keyboard and the keyboard should be removed first to reach the second memory location.
But this would nullify the warranty if you would remove the keyboard by yourself.

In my opinion, you should contact technician tan allowed for this upgrade

  • the upgrade of memory in the laptop memory game

I just got a HP Envy DV6-7213NR: laptop and I noticed he has 4gigs memory generic.  I would replace that memory with memory game.  first whats the memory limit that this notebook can handle memory wise?  the laptop is running 8.1 win I was hoping to put 8 GB of kingston hyperx.  is it feasible?  Since there is an open additional memory slot

and were therefore is the best place to get memory for the price.  This will be a lapop games so I need speed so if kingston is perhaps not the corsair anaswere or another set of ram would work.  This is my first laptop and any advice you can offer would be apprecieated thx.

The following illustration shows what is compatible with your laptop.  Memory DDR3-1600 Mhz , this is what is supported by the BIOS and motherboard.  To upgrade beyond 4 GB, you will need to install a 64-bit operating system. Your laptop has no BIOS options which would have a game system that allow the installation of modules of memory (high performance) of higher bandwidth.

  • What are the upgrade options (memory, video, audio, etc) for my HP Mini 210-4022 YOU?

Are there options to upgrade for my netbook HP Mini 210-4022 YOU?

I'm hoping to hear that there is in the following categories and their corresponding limit for upgrades:

    - internal memory (currently 2 GB of DDR3 memory, as far as I know, but am sure it's 2 GB), I want that this more general if possible

    - graphics card (integrated Intel, I know it is soldered on the motherboard but maybe, just maybe? a upgrade?) Some games I can't play and having problems with simple games and apps that should not be a problem in the first place as PlantsvsZombies because the latest drivers cannot Martin play this game and other games as well and I need to uninstall the drivers of the said... Is that how it supposed to work backward rather than forward? But I hope I can improve this...

    - audio (but that's fine, I have beats just want to know)

Thanks in advance and more power for HP... My brother for your business works if all goes well I have not made a mistake in buying HP products... But so far so good, a few small bumps on the road as I call it...

    Hey,stealth_1014.

    Unfortunately, you can not.
  • The upgrade of memory in my Equium M50-164

I have this laptop and tells me that it can take up to 2 GB of memory. I bought the two 1 GB PC2700 sodimm but cannot find a single port memory.

    Can anyone help?

Port memory I found is on the underside of the machine and remove the access screw according to the user manual. It takes only one piece of RAM that I can see. I still need to remove the 512 MB supplied with the machine.

    Where I'm going wrong?

    See you soon

    Rich

    Hello

You are right about maximum memory. Your laptop can handle with 2 GB RAM max. A slot of memory is placed in the lower face and the second under the keyboard.

To be honest, you should check if the warranty is still valid. If so you should not do anything alone. It will be very bad for loose warranty valid.

If you want to continue to do so only thanks for posting again.

    Hello

I have a HP probook 4515 s, and it came with 2 GB of memory. I want to 4 GB, but I do not see any place under the laptop where I can open a specific domain and change the memory. • Satellite L100 113 does not start after upgrading memory

    Hello.

Our Integrator bring to our company KVR800D2S5, but laptop memory modules does not start :(

I read manual - this laptop supports 533 PC4200 memory modules.

But SO-DIMM 533 MHz will be delivered in one month...

The memory modules, we can install to Toshiba L100-113?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think that the laptop does not power upward because of a barrette memory faulty or not fully compatible.

Please visit this memory 3rd party:

    [Memory for Toshiba Satellite L100 113 | http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=22360&ft=m&st=3]

As you can see Satellite L100 113 memory can be upgraded up to 2 GB (2 x 1 GB) and you must use the DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM

  • The upgrade for the SR1750NX memory

My old SR1750NX is still up and running (since ' 05!) and I want to squeeze some more memory in it.

    However, here is what I know of research in the past on this computer;

Win XP - The original OS - shouldn't you put in the full 4 gigs of RAM (there are 4 slots for 4 gigs), and I believe that the Web of Compaq site even warns against this.

I currently have 2 GB in there.

I guess this, or you install the memory sticks in PAIRS for this computer?

So, is it good to put in a stick more than 1 single gig,... or could I put in two 512?

Any help appreciated.  I use it for 3D renderings, and it's pretty slow, so any speed I can get is great!

    Hello:

Everything you have written that I agree with.

This is the product for your PC specification page.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00572530

You can see that the upgrade info memory says exactly what I informed you about installation 4 x 1 GB of memory.

No, not all will be available, but it will work without problem.

If you want to install/3 GB, you can install 512 MB - 1 GB - 512 MB - 1 GB more.

You can not install it in the order of 1 GB - 1 GB - 512 MB - 512, or visa versa.

But if you just want to install 4 x 1 GB more memory and remove the 2 x 512 GB which will be just fine.

Personally, I think that you should just add 2 x 1 GB in free slots.

  • Equium L100 186: how to remove & update modules memory

I bought 2 x 1 GB memory modules for my satellite L100-186 and on removal of the cover to find that it
difficult to access and delete existing ones. I'd be able to try this or do
    professionally?<>

    Hello

Usually, the update of modules memory is not very difficult but a little trickier.
A common user should be able to upgrade memory but please don t use force but be always gently and attention!

In the manual, you should find a description detailed of how to remove and how to insert the modules.
    Check it ;)

But note; If you have no experience and don't know how to do this contact a technician for help. In this case, you are always on the right side
